one of the most comfortable rooms that I have stayed in - lovely big double bed and ferocious shower. Only 4 rooms in this B&B but really well appointed and in a great location for all the amenities of Richmond. There is some noise from the bar area but it did not worry me.

Nice, friendly pub with good atmosphere. Pleasant room. Nothing worked- no hot water, tv not tuned in and no staff available to resolve outside pub hours.

Nice clean well decorated room with good shower and a fridge, rooms are small but sufficient. Was there with my buddy for a rugby game in Twickenham, and it was ideal. Nice friendly and relaxed staff as well.

Good location (for what we wanted to do); rooms fine; comfy beds. Breakfast arrangements (stale crosissants and cereal); noise (bar at night, roads in the morning).

The company that I visited was within a 100 meter distance from the guesthouse which made it very comfortable. Also the lunch that we had there was more than good enough. I missed a chair in my room.

Very central for business and shopping in Richmond.Staff very friendly and obliging. We originally had room 3 and as soon as a bigger room came vacant we were informed and moved. Room No 3 is very small and there was no space at all for suitcases. There was some noise from the bar but if one books accomodation in a pub it must be expected.. It was not excessive.

The room was attractively decorated. When I booked, there was no mention of the fact that the premises are unattended at night, so when all of the lights fused on Sunday night, I was left in darkness with nobody around to sort it out. When I booked, I saw that a continental breakfast was provided, and that a full English breakfast was on offer. I was NOT aware that the Red Cow's idea of a continental breakfast was an in-room fridge stocked with a dismal selection of yoghurt and cereal and pathetic shrink wrapped, chilled croissant. I was NOT aware that on holidays, the full breakfast was not on offer. It being a pub, we might have reasonably expected that there would be a New Year's Eve party - that's no problem, I had plans too. But I was told that it would be over by 1.30am, NOT that it would still be noisy at 4am. When I finally went downstairs at 4.30am and asked the staff to turn down the music, they sneered at me. Sarcastic, rude, unhelpful staff. A horrid stay, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Nice modern ambiance, very large bed, and little extras you don't get with mainstream budget hotels these days. Breakfast is either in cafe over the road or bought over by them to your room if arranged the day before, and very nice indeed. All included in the room price. Although not a problem for me at all, don't expect to be able to call down for room service, the hotel rooms are separated from the pub below.

I liked the location, close to the train/bus centre. I liked the comfortable bed and the squeaky clean shower and bathroom facilities and the fluffy towels changed every day. I liked the decor and the pub downstairs. The only staff person we met, the barman, was very nice. I liked the breakfast arrangements with the cafe accross the street. as well as the little fridge in the room full of breakfast food. I didn't like the traffic noise from the street. Big trucks. I didn't like having no lobby or social space to sit quietly and read with a cupof tea. I did not like the noisy bar that thumped underneath the room until 11:30PM each night and later on Saturday-with a singer and amplified music. I didn't like having to lock my door from the inside to secure the room. .

The staff was really friendly, uncomplicated and ready to solve your problems. Thanks to the young North Irish bartender who had an extra toothbrush for me. I came back late after travelling, meetings and dinner. So that was really triple + points. I would recommend you to put hairdryers in the room. That would have been the only thing I missed. I also liked that the breakfast was in the room, so I didn't have to use time to go down to a restaurant etc. Ah, and you should tell your guest how to check out? I almost wasn't able to get rid of my room key the morning I left (At 8 AM). But overall, very good stay.

Room and en suite facilities were very clean. Breakfast provided by cafe over the road on first day of stay was excellent. Close to rail station for travel into London and very close to Kew. Parking permit was paid for by hotel. On second day of stay (Sunday) cafe was closed and no proper breakfast was provided. 2 boxes small fruit and fibre and 1 small packet broken weetabix (seemed these had been there a long time), 3 yoghurts and 2 old and hard croissants for three adults. Compared to the previous day this was totally unacceptable. When staff were informed they were not willing to provide any sort of refund or compensation for this. We had to go out and spend more money to buy breakfast. Bed for third older teenager for which we paid full price was a roll out bed. No parking on site at pub and very difficult to park around location due to permit holders only and packed streets full of cars. As the Olympics were on we felt we paid over the top price than would normally.

The quaint rooms above the small bar were a delight to stay in. It was quiet but in the heart of Richmond, which is the ideal holiday accommodation. Perhaps just a little over priced, but apart from the, nothing. It is a lovely acommodation
