big comfy bed! helpful staff
Very helpful and personable staff; good location and value for money
Staff were great the room was perfect food was spot on all round lovely place
Fine line between restaurant menu and bar menu
To be honest we could not fault anything
Size of room. Left my jacket in the wardrobe and they very kindly sent it back straight away.
Food was adequate, but overpriced for bar food.
Our room was lovely, very peaceful with safe parking outside. Excellent food and service in the restaurant and good value for money. We were late arriving due to a car breakdown en-route and were made very welcome by the staff.
Very hot bedroom. We opened the window fairly wide but it was still just too warm for us.
Well equipped hotel/bar. Breakfast is buffet style, but everything is there.
Seperate, detached rooms in back. Not what one might expect. Decent rooms, though.
a delightful stay
The staff were responsive and a delight to meet and be served by. Good food at sensible prices. A varied menu with excellent daily specials. Good accommodation and pleasant public rooms which are clearly popular in the local community.
Nothing of any significance.
Excellent position, we easily went arount the Cotswolds by car. Good restaurant.
We had some small problems that summed up were annoying. The heating on the bathroom was broken so we felt a bit cold. The quality of the wireless was poor, either really slow or completely down at time. The bed was large but the mattress a bit dated with hills here and there. Finally the breakfast didn't met our expectations.
Large comfortable rooms. Good food in restaurant. Polite and friendly staff.
Cleaning requires more attention.
The staff were excellent, so friendly and accommodating. I was travelling with my mum and so we had a room each. They were comfortable, had everything you'd expect and I had the best nights sleep I'd had in ages! Very comfortable bed! I was really happy with the food (we had dinner and breakfast there) and they were really well set-up to deal with my gluten-free meal requirements. This hotel was a real surprise, we went in not expecting much as we hadn't booked in advance, had no idea where we even were, but we were really happy with everything. I would go out of my way to stay here again.
The very warm welcome, all staff were very pleasant and polite.
More attention given to food that was returned
The specials of the day on the menu were no longer available at 8.30pm. The food and wine were very average.
Breakfast was excellent especially the bacon, plenty of choice. Staff attentive.
Room little expensive but quiet and private.
food location - handy for Cotswolds
Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location in the centre of town. Good food moderately priced.
NICE MODERN STYLE ROOM FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF NICE COURTYARD ATTRACTIVE RESTAURANT GOOD BREAKFAST
PILLOWS (TOO HARD) NO BATH
Comfortable room, friendly staff, excellent breakfasts and evening meal in the restaurant. The hotel is well located for Cotswold amenities; we have used it before and will probably use it again.
There was a sign above the wash basin warning us that the water was very hot, but we never managed to get it more than lukewarm during our stay. The shower seemed a little under-powered, although it did deliver hot water.
The restaurant was very good & reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly & helpful.
Breakfast was poor - self service buffet. All a bit dried out on both mornings. Couldn't get a coffee after 10.30pm & bar closed at 11.00pm. Rooms were quite plain and modern. Had expected a bit of character in an old pub. Rooms not made up until 4.00pm - when I wanted a nap!
The Location is great. Nice and Central
Lots of noise from apartment above room, until 01:00 hours both nights we were there. We found the door to our room unlocked after the housekeeping had cleaned it, and as the door was onto the parking lot anyone could have walked in.
the atmosphere and the staff made for a wonderful stay. the food was excellent and it was nice to share the common rooms with many locals. we highly recomment this charming inn.
the shower hot and cold water could be better adjusted and could use an updating.
The staff were friendly and reasonably attentive. Good sized bedroom and end suite. Huge bed and comfortable mattress. (Room 24) Buffet breakfast was in plentiful supply and well cooked. Porridge was delicious. Poached eggs were cooked exactly as I asked. Dinner was good.
The bed in room 24 was a four poster, but the mattress fitted below the wooden surround of the bed, meaning that getting in and out of bed required clambering over the wood surround. Restaurant service was OK, but not great.
Friendly and relaxed hotel. Good facilities and excellent food. Nice place to spend a long weekend. Breakfast was fantastic!
very good location.good food, had room upgrade free, comfortable stay
bad power on shower
