From the moment we arrived, we just loved everything about it. The room we got was more like a suite, and little extras like a complimentry glass of sherry really made you feel special. Also the bed was enormous and very comfortable. There are a few different bar areas, each with their own atmosphere. On the first night we just relaxed and played Monopoly next to the open fire. This was after a lovely meal in the restaurant, being looked after by the excellent staff. For the second night, the central location meant we could go out and explore the town, which has several pubs, and a few good restaurants. So there was a double whammy of atmospheric night life, but incredibly quiet and peaceful accomodation, due to it's setting at the back of the hotel. Overall a great, relaxing stay, being treated like regulars by the staff, and feeling right at home.

Friendly, informal staff, with a good restaurant and a great bar. The mood was traditional, but with enough modern touches to ensure we we comfortable. Getting the upgrade on arrival was also a great touch! In short, a lovely hotel in a great location. Brilliant value.

staff very pleasant food excellent the room was ok but recent building work, affected our stay, the room next to ours had a water leek, on the friday night so that meant we were awaken at gone midnight then the next night we were awaken by the down pipe from the guttering, which had come away so that meant the water was cascading on to the window which meant that yet again we had a disturbed nights sleep,so instead of 3nights stay we came home a day earlier.

The location in the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh was excellent with easy and ample car parking.. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The rooms were to a high standard and the food in the restaurant was very good. All in all we were very pleased with the Redesdale and would happily stay there again. Moreton is a great location for exploring the Cotswolds.

We had a very modern comfortable room, (even TV on the bathroom mirror!). Our daughter and family stayed there as well, and our son and his family (who were staying at the nearby caravan park) joined us for a lovely meal in the evening, in the excellent restaurant.

The location was extremely convenient, parking facilities were great as we got to park on the very doorstep of our room, staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming, breakfast was very good quality, cleanliness of room and toilet was very good, travel cot provided for our baby was clean and as new... would recommend it 100% and will for sure come back soon. The only thing we disliked was the electric shower, which had a weird mechanism to be switched on that wasn't explained to us and therefore we had to take tepid showers with a trickle of water. Also, the fish and chips we ordered for dinner from the restaurant was ghastly, batter tasting like churros, chips were old, sauce was plain old cheap mayo, mushy peas tasted like cardboard... but that's an anecdote, the shower was the only issue and it's not that big a deal.

Good value for money. Also left clothing item and was forwarded to me without me asking or being charged. Reception bit hit and miss. If more than 1 customer left waiting while recep takes people to rooms. Bit frustrating just hanging around.

The staff made us feel welcome & relaxed. They were friendly, courteous & very helpful. We were in Rm 29, the penultimate bedroom furthest away from the main building & apparently was one of a few rooms only opened 3 weeks previously. We'd booked a double room but we got a huge queen size bed. It was very comfortable & had plenty of pillows. The settee was a nice idea along with the desk/chair. There was always something for everyone at breakfast, although we would've preferred the hot food cooked to order not sitting in trays keeping warm - as it's not a huge hotel. They did do this 1 day though but we'd stayed at The Noel Arms, Chipping Campden last August & they'd always offered cooked to order & they're a little bigger. Although the huge queen size bed was great, it was crammed into too small a space in the room. An unfortunate thing in the room was the spotlights in the ceiling throughout - there was only the one switch for both the bed & sitting areas. Therefore, if 1 person wanted to go to sleep but the other wanted to sit & read in the sitting area, it meant that the lights could not be turned off. The lights in the sitting area should be isolated from the lights in the bed area & have its own separate light switch & vice versa. Not a particularly well thought out design. Another minor thing was that the cleaners did not refill the complimentary water or bathroom accessories inc. toilet rolls as they should. We had to point this out at reception several times. There was 1 strange/puzzling thing - we'd been out for the day and didn't get back till some time after 6pm when we found our shower running. We'd used the bath in the morning so realised that the cleaner had left it switched on all day. We felt obliged to report this at reception. The only other thing was that however comfortable/clean the room was, the walls in these newer rooms are far too thin - we heard everything in the neighbouring rooms, phone calls, tv, talking, etc. - often leading to sleepless nights. Again, not a particularly well thought out design of the interior walls.

Difficult to fault. Only thing I could come up with was, the car park at the rear was small and full, there again, I parked free outside the front of the hotel. Will stay here again when I am in the area.

We certainly enjoyed our stay made even better with friendly and helpful staff. Together with the location, (we had friends staying in the nearby caravan club park) interesting scerney and shops; Moreton in the Marsh is certainly worth visiting again and more importantly if we are able to have the same room/or similar at the same price (or less expensive!!!) it would make another visit even more desirable. Well done, Redesdale Arms Hotel keep your standards up!!
