Restaurant was excellent
Bed wasn't very comfortable
Good location lovely room nice extras friendly staff very large and comfortable bed.
Limited menu needed 2chairs in bed room husband and I fought over the one. We had a terrace but no furniture on it to enjoy the evening sun with our sherry. Wasn't told about steps up to room
A charming hotel. Well appointed and clean rooms. The courtesy sherry was very welcome, especially as it was topped up on a daily basis and in copious quantities - far too much for us to drink in fact. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and every request was dealt with instantly. The hotel was a great base for exploring the Cotswolds and we had a wonderful time.
We felt that the evening menu was rather elaborate and complicated, so did not eat in the restaurant. For example lamb AND shepherds pie seemed a bit OTT for people with fairly small appetites.
The staff are very helpfull the food is very nice a great base to stay and sight see form
Very nice room ,lovely meal and excellent breakfast!
Can t think of anything .
Good Location, staff very friendly and helpful the food was excellent.
Good location in the centre of town . Lovely spacious rooms, enjoyed the choices at breakfast . Would stay again
Big comfy bed Complimentary Sherry Great location
Friendly, courteous and eager to please staff - went above and beyond the call of duty Off-street parking Full breakfast Buffet Fabulous location within walking distance of the train station
Room facing the street had some minor noise from passing traffic Double bed were two twins pushed together which were of different heights
Poor housekeeping awareness
Room damp walls and rotten skirting boards.
The location, of the hotel generally but also of our particular room with its view over the main street to attractive old Cotswold stone buildings opposite. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Complimentary sherry and filter coffee available in the room and sparkling wine before dinner were nice touches.
The room was too hot when we arrived - however, by keeping the windows open and the two fans thoughtfully provided on full day and night it was possible to get the temperature down to an acceptable level. We were glad, though, we weren't staying in the heatwave earlier this summer. The hotel could do with a lounge area - one night we decamped to a lounge in the hotel opposite to play cards!
Waitresses with 'attitude'. Slow to clear table, 'warm' but not 'toasted' toast. 'Mushy food' at buffet breakfast.
Friendly staff, good location
Uncomfortable bed, poor food service in the bar
Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Great building in a great location
Breakfast was buffet style so not good as never very hot We stayed on a Monday night so the room and the room was at the front. Tuesday is market day so very noisy in the morning. Also they had the heating on in the middle of summer in the bar. Our room was above so even with the window open it was uncomfortable.
The hotel was right on the main street so you could walk out of the hotel and be right in the heart of shops, pubs, restaurants and many antique shops. The food was very good and well presented. Good parking facilities were available at the rear of the hotel - a must for such a busy little town with not much parking.
We didn't have anything to complain about really. The room didn't have a mini bar but there was complimentary sherry and water for us in the room when we arrived.
Excellent location in this pretty little market town. Gently bustling with something of historical interest around every corner. Hotel had plenty to offer should you prefer to stay with cosy & comfy rooms.
We were welcomed with a friendly smile,a very informative lowdown on the hotel, a complimentary glass a bubbly, shown to our very spacious room, where there was a lovely view of moreton in the marsh, tea, coffee, biscuits & even a complimentary decanter of sherry, very acceptable!!
Nothing at all!
Service Starters + Desserts
overcooked hash browns and black pudding
This is the second time we have stayed here and both times have been upgraded to their Superior rooms which have been very good. Very large comfortable bed and all the facilities you could need in the room. Breakfast was very good and also the meal we had in the bar on one of the evenings. Good location for seeing all the main tourist attractions.
Nothing. We didn't have any trouble parking in their car park on the days we stayed but maybe a problem if you can't get in.
Everything i expected
Very helpful, friendly staff. Well-fitted out room with complimentary sherry! Good WiFi connection. Excellent breakfast. Great view of the main square from our room.
The cold water in the bathroom sink was a bit cloudy. Tasted fine, but a bit odd.
comfortable and clean room. good location for walking. good parking available.
limited vegetarian meal options. no de-caff tea/coffee!
Very good breakfast. Nice room - deluxe suite. Got upgraded from a superior.
