Originally a 15th-century traveler's inn, this refurbished hotel offers a relaxing home away from home in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds.

With a riverside location and in a Cotswold stone building, this 4-star hotel serves local, seasonal produce in the restaurant.

In the center of Moreton-in-Marsh, the 4-star Manor House Hotel offers luxurious accommodations and an award-winning restaurant. Each room in this 16th century building has its own distinctive charms....

Poor housekeeping awareness
Room damp walls and rotten skirting boards.
The location, of the hotel generally but also of our particular room with its view over the main street to attractive old Cotswold stone buildings opposite. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful and the food was very good. Complimentary sherry and filter coffee available in the room and sparkling wine before dinner were nice touches.
The room was too hot when we arrived - however, by keeping the windows open and the two fans thoughtfully provided on full day and night it was possible to get the temperature down to an acceptable level. We were glad, though, we weren't staying in the heatwave earlier this summer. The hotel could do with a lounge area - one night we decamped to a lounge in the hotel opposite to play cards!
Waitresses with 'attitude'. Slow to clear table, 'warm' but not 'toasted' toast. 'Mushy food' at buffet breakfast.
Friendly staff, good location
Uncomfortable bed, poor food service in the bar
Staff were fantastic and very helpful. Great building in a great location
Breakfast was buffet style so not good as never very hot We stayed on a Monday night so the room and the room was at the front. Tuesday is market day so very noisy in the morning. Also they had the heating on in the middle of summer in the bar. Our room was above so even with the window open it was uncomfortable.
The hotel was right on the main street so you could walk out of the hotel and be right in the heart of shops, pubs, restaurants and many antique shops. The food was very good and well presented. Good parking facilities were available at the rear of the hotel - a must for such a busy little town with not much parking.
We didn't have anything to complain about really. The room didn't have a mini bar but there was complimentary sherry and water for us in the room when we arrived.
Excellent location in this pretty little market town. Gently bustling with something of historical interest around every corner. Hotel had plenty to offer should you prefer to stay with cosy & comfy rooms.
We were welcomed with a friendly smile,a very informative lowdown on the hotel, a complimentary glass a bubbly, shown to our very spacious room, where there was a lovely view of moreton in the marsh, tea, coffee, biscuits & even a complimentary decanter of sherry, very acceptable!!
Nothing at all!
Service Starters + Desserts
overcooked hash browns and black pudding
This is the second time we have stayed here and both times have been upgraded to their Superior rooms which have been very good. Very large comfortable bed and all the facilities you could need in the room. Breakfast was very good and also the meal we had in the bar on one of the evenings. Good location for seeing all the main tourist attractions.
Nothing. We didn't have any trouble parking in their car park on the days we stayed but maybe a problem if you can't get in.
Everything i expected
Very helpful, friendly staff. Well-fitted out room with complimentary sherry! Good WiFi connection. Excellent breakfast. Great view of the main square from our room.
The cold water in the bathroom sink was a bit cloudy. Tasted fine, but a bit odd.
comfortable and clean room. good location for walking. good parking available.
limited vegetarian meal options. no de-caff tea/coffee!
Very good breakfast. Nice room - deluxe suite. Got upgraded from a superior.
Loved the courtyard apartment with outdoor space.
Paint work rotton on skirting board
The food The room The location
Just needed some more fresh fruit choice at breakfast, ie grapefruit, oranges, grapes, apples mixed
Swish bathroom Lovely staff
No glas for water I.e. cleaning teeth although sink elegantly tiny. Could not open or close bathroom window as too stiff. Not good when its raining cats and dogs
location; good food; comfortable room and bed; welcoming drinks; pleasant and helpful staff. A very good Three Star hotel. All in all, we will return in due course.
shower needed a non-slip mat
Temperature in the room was a little high for comfort during the hot weather
Lack of hot water in the ensuite shower
Friendly staff and good breakfast Complimentary sherry in room Complimentary glass of French fizz Had booked two rooms then cancelled one at very short notice: under T&C they could have charged but did not The booking did not include breakfast but they added it in free
Room in main hotel rather hot at night despite fans. Group of guests from an events organiser company who spent their time drinking (ok,their business) and using loud foul language which was unpleasant.
*Upgrade to superior room * Dinner merited AA rosette * Full range breakfast buffet * Prompt and pleasant service
