Lovely location, lovely hotel and lovely helpful staff.
Cosy hotel in the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh and a short walk from the station. Two open fires in the bar area and a nice restaurant, delicious breakfasts.
It goes with the territory for a 17th century inn but our room had a pronounced slope, very creaky floors and the door frame was only about 5' 9" high (and I banged my head!).
Free Sherry in the room! TV Wifi Outside access to room meaning you weren't constrained to hotel open times Excellent breakfast
when we first arrived the heating had been left on full - it was so hot we had to go to bed with the window open - in January! we felt a bit wasteful but it cooled down in the end.
good food and service, with helpful staff, warm room at the front over looking the high street, but was not noisy
a bit cramped in places but not a real problem
room was cosy and bed was comfortable
The shower was defective and did not have a stable temperature. It was either much too hot or much too cold- dangerous in fact! The buffet breakfast was the most chaotic we've ever had. We had to wait for all the components of the great English breakfast separately. It was like eating brekky as a taster menu- no fun at all. We did complain and to be fair we had £30 knocked off the bill but overall it just wasn't worth it. We will not stay here again and will go to the White Hart over the road instead. Our friends stayed there and had a much better time for the same price band. It was so disappointing as we used to live in Moreton in Marsh and the Redesdale was our favorite pub with its open fire and Chesterfield settee to sit on.
The quiet country town location
Not very much
Very attentive staff very good food Decor and atmosphere of pub and restaurant. The location The standard of comfort of the bedroom
The shower in the bath: the bath is a bit too high but the shower itself was great: pressure and very hot water The nightlight in bedroom ( green one) is a bit too bright but we mentioned it, it was immediately sorted out for the following night
Comfort and cleanliness of the Junior Suite we stayed in. Quiet at night in the new rooms. Good meal in the restaurant on the first night.
Disappointing meal in the bar on the second night. Liver had to be returned as inedible and cold. Very long wait for sweets and staff a bit unhelpful. Cheeseboard a disgrace. Cold hard Brie..a third of the aged Gloucester hard and inedible and no blue cheese left ..very ordinary cheddar substituted. The hotel is next to the Cotswold Cheese Company who supply the hotel and who would raise more than an eyebrow at how this was presented.
Free Wifi Bedrooms were cosy and bed was huge and very comfortable,
Poor choice of breakfast items, sausages were horrible. Had to ask for toast and wasn't asked. Only one staff in the restaurant which was full.
room, location and on site car parking. Staff welcoming - offer help with luggage etc.
Shower tight fit Beer choice limited to Marston Beers despite list indicating otherwise, price of beer and food - VAT added to list price Breakfast hot food from previous day - but plenty of it.
Great village location, easy and quick to get to Stratford, Chichester, Cheltenham etc. Many antique shops with a few miles also local market. Local scenery, villages a delight to visit.
Could only stay 3 nights.
good value for money will use again
A warm welcome from the staff especially the Manager, Robert who takes the time to go out of his way to make sure we have a pleasant stay. We have stayed here on several occasions, usually for our birthdays or anniversaries, but this was a surprise weekend trip for my wife. The service, food and facilities are always up to standard, & the location is ideal for visiting the Cotswolds, walking, shopping, sightseeing or just relaxing in this bustling but quaint little town. Can't wait to return!
Nice people, good view, peaceful place, great meal, not expensive.
location clean rooms comfortable beds very good breakfast very polite and helpful staff
price - we paid £120 outside the season what should be a £70 room. The room was small and in need of an update. Only a shower in the bathroom - considering what we paid I would expect a bigger, more modern room and a bath in the bathroom.
very accommodating manager after a mix up (mine) of dates. All facilities res were very good and the staff helpful. Excellent breakfast. To be recommended
We like the location of the hotel and the nice relaxed attmosphere.
Generally all good ... Location, room quality, value for money @£79 , cleanliness ... In fact near perfect
room wasn't quite warm enough ...heating could not be turned up high enough
Central to Cotswold, easy access of other areas to visit in the Cotswolds. Friendly staff. Excellent food although small menu choice, but enough to satisfy both my husband and I.Would recommend.
Large, comfortable room (I was upgraded). Excellent hot breakfast. Proper coffee in the room, and the complementary sherry decanter was a bonus
Large comfortable clean bed. Bright contemporary clean room with patio garden .Quiet location and good parking for our car Good food served in an intimate dining room. Made us feel very welcome. Would certainly stay again
There was nothing to dislike
