Had a lovely weekend. The staff could not do enough! Will be going back again!
Redesdale Arms has real fires, cosy bars, welcoming staff, splendid manager Robert, great food and is in the heart of Moreton on the Marsh. What's not to like? We can't wait to return.
Next visit we will choose a bedroom suite with a bathroom minus a TV!! We could not understand why mirror was dim. Not good for ladies wishing to put on make-up.However superb staff pointed out it was a TV as well. Not a major problem.
Rooms need soundproofing especially when the person next door snores all night!
Lovely hotel with friendly staff.Very clean.Fabulous evening meal and breakfast.Would definitely recommend!
Extremely friendly staff, fantastic atmosphere, amazing room
Checking in was straight forward, Room was very modern, usual facilities were available but of a good standard. Restaurant staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Food was beautiful. Hotel bar area's and restaurant were very comfortable.
Room was cramped with little room for moving about in. The walls are so thin I could hear every noise from neighbours. I found this really uncomfortable, especially when they're on the phone or having private conversations. It also made me worry about creating noise myself such as TV or hairdryer. This was in the new accommodation out back of hotel. So unfortunately, this was not a relaxing stay.
Very welcoming staff, lovely area and a real homely feel. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
Real Ales at the bar
Friendly staff and nice room and food very good.
No bath and several mistakes on bill and fellow customers bills which led me to think scam going on.
helpful pleasant staff and a warm bedroom.Breakfast was very substantial and well cooked. could have been a bit hotter
One of the dishes at dinner was not as expected
Room was beautiful, large and bathroom also beautiful with a wonderful shower. Bed was simply enormous! Complimentary drinks were also excellent.
Requested double room, had 2 single beds pushed together. Only downside was the edges of the mattresses in the middle were very hard and unpleasant to sleep on. Minor issue though.
Helpful staff, lovely location in centre of Moreton in Marsh. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Good food, both dinner and breakfast
Whilst room was good, the bathroom was not well designed. Razor socket was not useable, too close to wall to plug in my razor (adapter available from reception, for ordinary socket). The basin was very small and lighting poor.
Lovely location, lovely hotel and lovely helpful staff.
Cosy hotel in the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh and a short walk from the station. Two open fires in the bar area and a nice restaurant, delicious breakfasts.
It goes with the territory for a 17th century inn but our room had a pronounced slope, very creaky floors and the door frame was only about 5' 9" high (and I banged my head!).
Free Sherry in the room! TV Wifi Outside access to room meaning you weren't constrained to hotel open times Excellent breakfast
when we first arrived the heating had been left on full - it was so hot we had to go to bed with the window open - in January! we felt a bit wasteful but it cooled down in the end.
good food and service, with helpful staff, warm room at the front over looking the high street, but was not noisy
a bit cramped in places but not a real problem
room was cosy and bed was comfortable
The shower was defective and did not have a stable temperature. It was either much too hot or much too cold- dangerous in fact! The buffet breakfast was the most chaotic we've ever had. We had to wait for all the components of the great English breakfast separately. It was like eating brekky as a taster menu- no fun at all. We did complain and to be fair we had £30 knocked off the bill but overall it just wasn't worth it. We will not stay here again and will go to the White Hart over the road instead. Our friends stayed there and had a much better time for the same price band. It was so disappointing as we used to live in Moreton in Marsh and the Redesdale was our favorite pub with its open fire and Chesterfield settee to sit on.
The quiet country town location
Not very much
Very attentive staff very good food Decor and atmosphere of pub and restaurant. The location The standard of comfort of the bedroom
The shower in the bath: the bath is a bit too high but the shower itself was great: pressure and very hot water The nightlight in bedroom ( green one) is a bit too bright but we mentioned it, it was immediately sorted out for the following night
Comfort and cleanliness of the Junior Suite we stayed in. Quiet at night in the new rooms. Good meal in the restaurant on the first night.
Disappointing meal in the bar on the second night. Liver had to be returned as inedible and cold. Very long wait for sweets and staff a bit unhelpful. Cheeseboard a disgrace. Cold hard Brie..a third of the aged Gloucester hard and inedible and no blue cheese left ..very ordinary cheddar substituted. The hotel is next to the Cotswold Cheese Company who supply the hotel and who would raise more than an eyebrow at how this was presented.
Free Wifi Bedrooms were cosy and bed was huge and very comfortable,
Poor choice of breakfast items, sausages were horrible. Had to ask for toast and wasn't asked. Only one staff in the restaurant which was full.
room, location and on site car parking. Staff welcoming - offer help with luggage etc.
Shower tight fit Beer choice limited to Marston Beers despite list indicating otherwise, price of beer and food - VAT added to list price Breakfast hot food from previous day - but plenty of it.
Great village location, easy and quick to get to Stratford, Chichester, Cheltenham etc. Many antique shops with a few miles also local market. Local scenery, villages a delight to visit.
Could only stay 3 nights.
