Friendly efficient staff, great location, excellent bar and lounge, good car parking, easy access to road network, good area and local amenities. Room I stayed in the carpets were a little tired and perhaps shower cubicals are required nowadays rather than shower/bath combo.

Location was within walking distance of my Mother's Nursing Home. Also walking distance to local shopping and public transport to the city. Restaurant and bar at the hotel was useful. Reception staff were very helpful. No telephone in the room. No clock in the room. No lamp in the room. Room décor/furnishings were old and worn (especially the carpet and the bathroom) Hotel is being remodeled so very noisy during the day. Hotel had no "Wet Paint" signs and I got paint on my jacket. Paper thin walls between bedrooms made sleeping an issue.

The staff The evening meal was awful although breakfast was good.we unfortunately had an awful experience due to other guests fighting as we had no telephone in the room I had to get up and get dressed to speak to the night porter who dealt with it .

The staff were friendly and helpful. We were offered free breakfast to compensate for the mix up with the rooms. That was a good outcome for us. We booked a twin room but they only had a double.

Friendly and helpful staff, restaurant food good, promptly and efficiently served. The bathroom in room 16 needs refurbishing. Bath was badly worn. Only one small towel ring and nowhere to place toilet bag etc. but very good shower pressure. Had to change room when ceiling leaked but not a problem.

I found the staff and locals who use the bar area very friendly , the food was excellent and for the price you pay to stay there it is very good , do not expect 5 star for this price , it is located 2 mins walk from a train that goes into the city . I heard that they are due to do building work there soon to make it even better , i for sure would stay there again. If you want an early night the Kareoke can be a little loud .

Was central to catch train to Hampden Glasfow Central. Nice bar area food was freshly cooked and hot. The cleanliness of the carpets in reception area and staits - needed hoovered. The carpet in our room 7 was dirty and covered in coffee/tea stains etc. The room was small and therefore it would only take ten minutes with a steam cleaner to clean the carpet.

The hotel was basic and the price was cheap. The hotel has gone into Administration and nothing worked the Internet broke and could not be fixed. The food was expensive for what it was. The beds were not so comfortable and the cleaner always left the window to the room open all day even though it was December so the room was cold every evening I came back.

Staff were helpful with the various problems we had. managed to get wifi in our room although only supposed to be in public areas. Cheap! Very noisy at night. Functions and pub noise could be heard. Had thin walls and neighbour very noisy with TV on blaring until 3am. No hot water 1 morning and lukewarm the next. Rooms adequate with outdated/dilapidated furniture but at £39 a night what more could you expect/

The location: It was just a walk away from where we were going for a party. Evening meal and breakfast was very nice and plentiful. Attentive and very helpful staff. Room clean and tidy with towels, television, hairdryer and free toiletries. Building needing a bit of tender loving care. Needs to be updated. Shower in the room was very hard to operate
