Just a 2-minute walk from the promenade, Hove Lawns and the nearest sandy beach, The Imperial Hotel is in a Regency period building with high ceilings.

Right in the centre of things, short walk from the station, good breakfast with very pleasant staff. I enjoyed my stay.
Very small room right at the top, accessed by steep, leaning staircase. Glad I didn't have to climb in the hot weather!
Very friendly and extremely helpful.
Number of stairs when you have pounded the streets of Brighton or carrying heavy luggage. There is no lift, but landings to catch you breathe on if you are higher up.
Great location Comfortable room
Breakfast was poor
Loved the room, it had a really romantic feel, was clean & comfortable. The staff were friendly & helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location.
If I had to pick something, I would say the cups in the room could be bigger, in order to make a decent cup of tea - but that's being really picky, as overall everything was perfect!
Comfort, cleanliness and placement.
Location of the hotel is ideal.
Bedroom and bathroom size. Duvet and covers need freshness.
Nice character property with excellent views from the top floor of the sea.
Carpet in the room (12) was thread-bare which took away from the general good quality and feel of the overall hotel.
One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in with a lovely view of the sea. Great facilities and friendly staff.

Nice comfy beds, clean room
All the stairs. Although hotel was full it felt a bit isolated at times.
Room tasteful with quirky room options available too. The breakfast was really good and the location is great, just a few minutes walk to pretty much anywhere.
Nothing, it was all good. We organised parking in the street behind which was really good value and safe all night inside parking. Would have been nice if someone had taken the car around for us to the park but you can't have everything.
Was comfortable car park near staff lovely. We will diffently return.
Comfy bed, tea making facilities. Clean shower room.
Uneven floors and stairs. Only had 3 posts on bed, when shown a four poster bed on web site!
Lovely character hotel, great staff, cute rooms, fab location, what more do you need?!?! Will definitely go back :)
This was a warm, inviting and quirky hotel which me and my friends loved! The location was fantastic. We walked in to town to shop and walked home after a night out. The facilities were pretty impressive- would defiantly recommend!
We couldn't stay longer! We had to go home.
Rooms fun Room 10 Leopard skin wall paper. Something from the norm. Staff friendly So I would use hotel again.
Rooms are small but OK. Disapointed that in the pics leopard skin toilet seat has been replaced with a dull white one. Made me smile from pics.
Location, cleanliness and view from bedroom (room 9).
Breakfast. No one explained whether it was self service or not. Wish we had had breakfast elsewhere. Number of options kept running out and the eggs and tomatoes tasted like they had been cooked in stale chip oil!
Excellent as a cheap and cheerful option. Very friendly staff. Close to the seafront area.
Bathroom incredibly pokey.
Fantastic location, near the sea, shops, pubs, restaurants and Brighton Centre. Friendly, helpful staff. Vegetarian sausages provided for me at breakfast which went down well with the hash browns and beans.
Everything was fine. Nothing significant to complain about.
Decor and welcoming face.
I thought breakfast was a bit steep in cost.
Lovely comfortable bed. Excellent location Reasonably priced. Friendly staff.
Rooms are quite small. Parking is £20 per day. ouch!
To much stairs and nobody to help for luggages very small bedroom
Location, view from my bedroom, comfy bed and nice touches like snacks & drinks in the room
Steep stairs, 'interesting' decor in room, felt a bit cramped, decor in the whole place felt a bit tired
