Very convenient for visiting Melton Rd, city centre & friends in the area. Extremely considerate staff. Lovely breakfast. Phenomenal value for an overnight stay for 2.
Good to be able to get a single room . Plenty of breakfast choice
Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast! Food generally good.
Room on small side..but there are larger ones at a higher price.
Welcome: Staff most attentive.Choice of eating in the Bar or Restaurant - Cobra beer £2.80 a pint, good selection of wines at affordable prices, varied menu (including vegetarian options). Excellent English breakfast
Breakfast Excellent staff Good sleep quality Value for money
Comfortable bed Lots of tea/coffee items in the room Good breakfast
Bathroom - tiny & tired although clean Early departure time
grotty tiles in bathroom
Good evening meal and breakfast. Hotel of character unlike the typical hotel chain.
Some floorboard noise to be expected of a hotel of this period!
Very comfy bed and nice breakfast.
everything but the price
Cheap and cheerful
Staff were superb, food was very good and reasonably priced, bed was comfortable, given it's fairly cenral location, external noise from traffic etc. was minimal.
For the price and what's on offer, there is nothing to complain about really.
Friendly staff, clean room, the bed are v comfort to have a nice sleep
got prob with the pump of toilet when flushing, so need to manually lift up the pump inside the water tank.
Very good breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.
Bathroom/shower very small
Not a great place to stay, a bit old fashioned & had to be out of the room by 10am
breakfast was very good.
the hotel needs a major face lift as it is in a poor state of repair.the interior was dark and dismal and the décor was poor.the evening meal selection left a lot to be desired although the breakfast was very nice.i don't know how it manages to get a rating of7.6.
Draughty around the window but a very windy night. Need mattress protector to make it more comfortable.
Breakfast is good but needs to be available before 8 pm. Staff is polite but not overly friendly.
The single rooms are tiny. And single beds too. The shower did not have hot water the first night. There is a kettle to make coffee or tea but it doesn't fit under the taps. The location is too far from anything including restaurants or cafes or downtown.
Plenty of parking Polite staff Good food And very clean
I don't use a sat nav but found the hotel easily. Regular bus into city if you didn't want to use the car..There was plenty of parking and a no fuss check in. I had a clean, comfortable room- TV, bath, kettle etc and the heating was on. Hotel was quiet and although my bedroom was at front of hotel near the road I couldn't hear anything. A nice breakfast in the morning served by polite staff. There is a restaurant and bar at the hotel but I didn't use it. At less then £50 it was good value.
Staff very friendly. Only stayed one night but it ticked all the boxes. Would stay again if in that area.
Comfort & friendliness
Bed is very comfortable and nice bathroom
