Regency Park Hotel  

My room was an excellent size and very comfortable. I was very pleased with the price of the room too. The staff were really accomodating and friendly as well as professional.

After arriving we found that our room did not have the extras that we had booked for. I spoke to reception and they were very apologetic and then upgraded our room, which wad very nice!

The bed was quite uncomfortable.

Restaurant prices and atmosphere not powerful enough to tempt us to have evening dinner or breakfast

It was sunny so it was a very airy hotel,clean but was told by staff very very quiet at weekends,we only see 6 residents.

We used the bar for drinks,i am not a racist however the enlglish of the barmaid was very poor,i asked for a double malibu and coke for my wife and got it in a pint glass!!! The breakfast was a disaster,the actual breakfast area was very comfortable,however when we went up to pick the bacon,it had been cooked out the packet,there must have been 10 to 15 rashers on one lump,and it was all cold.we ate a mouthfull and called over the lovely waitress,she reported it to the chef,whom we heard laughing but no apology from him,just blushes from the embarrassed waitress.they did start changing the food but to late for us to wait.

The staff where very friendly and the whole hotel looked clean and tidy.

I was surprised not to have fresh milk and fresh cookies as per the advertisement. The dressing gowns were nice, but not fluffly in any shape or form, more like hard and crispy.

This is our 2nd visit and we chose to stay over the New Year. We were treated very well by friendly, efficient staff. The Restaurant Staff were superb in their ability to communicate and provided excellent service. An engaged workforce who all seemed to be very happy in their work. We will definitely be returning and hope it will be soon. And a special thank you for the relaxed atmosphere on New Years Day where breakfast times were extended and the checkout rules relaxed. A lovely stay.

The Regency Park Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area, a couple of miles from Newbury Town centre, and has a smart feel. The room was very comfortable and well-appointed and the breakfast was good. I didn't use the spa and pool, but I will when I next stay.

The food was good. The room was clean and spacious and the facilities were good too

The only thing I didn't like was that they did not have an electrical point situated by a mirror for use with hairdryers etc

The staff are great - really helpful and friendly and they go the extra mile for you.

The temperature of the room - it was too hot for comfort, although they had provided a fan which helped.. This was the only down side
