Situated in the historic city of Cambridge, just 15 minutes' walk from the rail station and University colleges, this charming hotel boasts elegant accommodation and indulgent spa and wellness...
Score from 847 reviews Good
the ambience and the warmth of the staff.
Nothing really, though the toasties I had at lunch time were sadly pretty much tasteless.
Bed not bad
Room too small, bed too small, cleaning staff kept forgetting items
the location the room the view and the breakfast
the lack of parking place
Reception staff were spot on. Room was stylish, well-maintained and very clean.
Not the Hotel's fault at all, but our room faced Parker's Piece (a Park) and, until 0300 (a Saturday night) a succession of inebriated (and not especially intelligent) young people put the world and their domestic relationships to rights just below our bedroom window. No fun, and spoilt the stay.
The staff emailed me within 2 hours of my departure to say that I had left a couple of items behind. These reached me 2 days later. I am very impressed.
The view and location were nice
Bed a bit soft and decor in hallways doesn't suit style of building
friendly staff, location, beautiful park view at the back, warm nicely decorated small lounge with magazines and books, clean, great continental breakfast, nice room, overall very comfortable home away from home
Lack of car park or any suggestion of where to park in the area. No cooked breakfast. Towels weren't changed just refolded. No room service
Hotel location was close to the historical buildings
There was no parking facilities to the hotel. Nearest parking was the Grafton Mall which was £26.00 per night. This was not communicated when booking.
Location, staff, cleanliness all met or exceeded expectations. Good choice at breakfast. Convenient to city and train station.
Some simple directions for room ventilation system would be helpful. Opening the window meant noise but mastering the ventilation system in a short stay was not assured.
Situation 15 mms from station and 10 mins from centre Wifi easy and fast Breakfast Very good for Chinatown (street!) restaurants
A bit expensive but probably due to being an executive room (last room) during University Freshers' Week
Location; Comfortable bed; View from room; Friendly staff; Bus stop right in front of the hotel for transfer to train station.
Price level (although this may be typical for most hotels in Cambridge). Hotel is comparable to a continental 2* hotel, almost to a hostel, with basic facilities, low quality materials, rambling bathroom with a tiny tub-shower, and a very simple breakfast, but at the price of a luxury 4* hotel in Berlin.
Comfort & service.
Overall thye hotel was clean and tidy
Parking was a big bproblem and expensive . Access with luggage was extremely difficult
Room is Clean and located in the downtown.
Location and staff
All staff were very courteous and pleasant
breakfast room was rather cramped and there seemed to be too few staff for such a busy bank holiday weekend - so, some waiting for clean china and glasses.
Great staff, polite and friendly. Great breakfast, location facing the park, design etc... I loved it!
Everything was great.
The comfort, and it was small and friendly. the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely view over the green
We would have liked fresh fruit salad for breakfast.
Very clean and new hotel, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good location, 30 minute walk from station, but a handy 5 minute walk from the main streets in town. Highly recommended.
That is the second te that I stay at ghe Regent. The Regent is well located. The rooms are clean. Wifi is complimentary and good. Breakfast is complimentary and also good. The staff is nice. I would come again.
The room is well furnished and large enough for a couple. Staff is pleasant and the breakfast (continental is good).
Nothing in particular
Very comfortable and very well located. I strongly recommend the hotel.
Location was great, it was comfortable, clean, staff friendly. Exactly what we were looking for.
Breakfast was basic and options were limited. Other than this it was perfect for a weekend break.
