Score from 223 reviews Very good
Location, staff, cleanliness all met or exceeded expectations. Good choice at breakfast. Convenient to city and train station.
Some simple directions for room ventilation system would be helpful. Opening the window meant noise but mastering the ventilation system in a short stay was not assured.
Situation 15 mms from station and 10 mins from centre Wifi easy and fast Breakfast Very good for Chinatown (street!) restaurants
A bit expensive but probably due to being an executive room (last room) during University Freshers' Week
Location; Comfortable bed; View from room; Friendly staff; Bus stop right in front of the hotel for transfer to train station.
Price level (although this may be typical for most hotels in Cambridge). Hotel is comparable to a continental 2* hotel, almost to a hostel, with basic facilities, low quality materials, rambling bathroom with a tiny tub-shower, and a very simple breakfast, but at the price of a luxury 4* hotel in Berlin.
Comfort & service.
Overall thye hotel was clean and tidy
Parking was a big bproblem and expensive . Access with luggage was extremely difficult
Room is Clean and located in the downtown.
Location and staff
All staff were very courteous and pleasant
breakfast room was rather cramped and there seemed to be too few staff for such a busy bank holiday weekend - so, some waiting for clean china and glasses.
Great staff, polite and friendly. Great breakfast, location facing the park, design etc... I loved it!
Everything was great.
The comfort, and it was small and friendly. the staff were very helpful. We had a lovely view over the green
We would have liked fresh fruit salad for breakfast.
Very clean and new hotel, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good location, 30 minute walk from station, but a handy 5 minute walk from the main streets in town. Highly recommended.
That is the second te that I stay at ghe Regent. The Regent is well located. The rooms are clean. Wifi is complimentary and good. Breakfast is complimentary and also good. The staff is nice. I would come again.
The room is well furnished and large enough for a couple. Staff is pleasant and the breakfast (continental is good).
Nothing in particular
Very comfortable and very well located. I strongly recommend the hotel.
Location was great, it was comfortable, clean, staff friendly. Exactly what we were looking for.
Breakfast was basic and options were limited. Other than this it was perfect for a weekend break.
Very good location, lovely rooms, good breakfast, comfy beds, friendly staff
Wi-fi could have been better
The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was clean and spacious (we stayed in an Executive room), and had a nice view over the Parker's Piece. The beds were big enough and very comfortable. The breakfast is also very good, with better variety compared to a lot of English hotels that would only provide standard English / Continental options. As we needed to check out at noon, the hotel stored our luggage while we had our lunch and did some last-minute sightseeing. Overall a very positive experience.
There was an issue with the WiFi, we were provided with 2 security codes that, once activated by my husband on his mobile and laptop, could not be used anymore on mine, even after he logged out. Otherwise WiFi was good in terms of speed and stability.
Great location. Friendly staff. Looks to have been refurbished recently so rooms are in an excellent condition. Good buffet breakfast included in the price of the room, which is nice.
Wi-fi was difficult to connect to.
Lovely staff. Clean room, Boutique look Also liked the fact we could get buses and walk everywhere and it was easy for the station. Cambridge is not a car friendly city - so we had the freedom of not being handicapped by having a car with us. Makes life so much more fun. nice breakfast too
room was a bit small for two - no room to unpack AND ... no one's fault but Cambridge is an overpriced city so hotel was expensive for what it was.
Room was large and well decorated (free upgrade). Very clean hotel
Price. No cooked breakfast. No bar
Extremely poor value for the price. The romm was tiny and no cooked breakfast for the price was outrageous. They did the least they could get away with. Will not return.
What can I say except quite the most expensive very ordinary, non full breakfast supplying place I have ever stayed The business plan seems to be most people are foreign.wont be coming back and we don't much care anyway God knows what these exploitative prices do for the UK tourism reputation
The regent hotel was in a great location, very clean everywhere. Breakfast was continental and excellent with plenty of choice, staff were lovely, all in all a great place for a short break.
Parking is awful and expensive as we had to park in a car park overnight which added £18 to our bill.
Quiet room, bed bigger than some rooms I've stayed in, everything you could want supplied.
It was almost a shame to go out to fulfil the purpose of my visit to Cambridge.
The selection of teas in rooms
We would've liked an option of an English breakfast considering the cost of the rooms.
