I liked the choice of design and colours in the room, it was comfortable and the outlook from my room was good. I enjoyed the large window and many mirrors making what could have been a dark and dingy small room into a really pleasant space. The food was good, the dining room pleasant and the staff efficient. Attention to detail could have been better - the surfaces were not clean, the TV didn't work, the chair was broken, and there were no helpful instructions in the room about how to ring reception or get into town, and on arrival I was not given any instructions about meal times and venues or anything else about the accommodation, but just left to it.

The staff were friendly, the reception was being revamped but that was ok by me. The bar was shut at 10:25 on a Wednesday which may have been my fault as I went to a cashpoint and went into the 'Salutation' over the road. The room was ok but I was a lone male and in a single room, the double rooms may be different but as it stands there is no way I would stay here with my wife, she would not stay. The reason why I would not recommend is it is only ok and for males from my experience. A weekend on the beer for males and it would be great.

I have stayed here many times for trips to doncaster races the location on the road running from the course to the town is excellent and the staff are very friendly They have changed breakfast to buffet style and the bacon and sausage were virtually inedible they were so hard also the choice of eggs had gone it was just scrambled on offer.a shame as it is usually an excellent stay with breakfast, however I will still be booking again for the location

It is located close to the city centre, restaurants and attractions. It has direct access to main roads. It has parking. The bathroom was warm. 4 flights of stairs to our room, but I did not request no stairs. The room was dated and not adequated heated. The bed linen was not new and although adequate, was not pleasant.

The staff were the highlight to our stay, they make you feel very welcome and the restaurant was great, compliments to the chef and waiters. Only one little problem the beds are two mattress's pushed together, not too classy.

The location was good, being a short walk from restaurants and pubs. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was freshly cooked. I had booked the hotel for my partners birthday and booked an executive room. We found the room basic but comfortable. However on entering the room the sun was shining on the floor to ceiling headboard showing dust and greasy marks including handprints. This prompted me to rub my finger over the top of the wardrobe and that was thick with dust. I would have expected better of a longstanding hotel.

The hotel was easy to find and is an easy 10 minute walk from the shopping centre, bus and train stations. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I felt like a guest rather than a customer to be processed. Although an old building with the rooms seemingly scattered within a warren of corridors, there is excellent signage throughout and even an old woman like me couldn't get lost. The rooms are clean and comfortable, excellent lighting and comfortable chairs to sit and read.I Would not hesitate in recommending the Regent and would definately stay there again should I need to stay in Doncaster. No complaints at all , though if anyone is overnighting on a business trip, they should take their own alarm clock as there are no clocks in the rooms.

This hotel was exactly what I needed for a short business trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I slept very well. The food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. It was centrally located in Doncaster which put all the amenities at your front door. There was no need to rent a car because taxis, buses and the train service were easily accessible.

The staff were very friendly arrived early let us have the room. Went for meal in the evening was brilliant. Know the hotel gets booked up on racing weekends so need book early as always gets full. Def stay again. Easy walk to race course and on the edge of town Fire alarm went off in the night and was a fault but things happen cannot blame the hotel. was so apologetic Just felt the breakfast staff could been bit more with it. Filled the glass table and the milk without having to be asked.
