Regent Maritime Hotel

Liverpool människor är generellt väldigt trevliga, på det typiska engelska sättet, och det uppskattade iallafall jag. Hotellet var inget undantag, personalen är trevlig och dem har en bar som man kan sitta i och storbilds tv som man kan titta på sport eller något annat i en lounge.

Nackdelarna är att lokaltrafiken var lite bristfällig, samt att det kostade mellan 6-10 engelska pund att ta sig till och från stationen. Samt att hotellet är väldigt lyhört, dem har branddörrar i korridorerna som smäller igen när folk går mellan, vilket var smått irriterande, speciellt när städerskorna körde sin housekeeping och man låg bakfull i sängen och bara ville sova.

on arriving at the hotel we were told that we did not have a resrvation there! this was very inconvenient as we had travelled from wales and were due to meet friends shortly. luckily the staff were friendly and able to book us in the last double room. unfortunately the shower did not work but we were able to wash in the shared showers. i am unsure how this happened and not sure if it was anything to do with booking through this site. please look inot this for me and reply to this email address. rachael

Mainly the staff, every one of them, nothing was too much trouble. I cannot wait til my next visit.

its a bit away from the centre but the hotel has a minibus service

everything, we were made to feel really welcome, the staff were great, really helpfull and polite, the room was nice and looked like it had just been decorated, food was good.

I very much enjoyed checking out and leaving this dreadful place, also the memory of never even thinking of returning.

I book a three bed room I get two beds for the three bed price. I book a room with a hot shower, doesn't work and am told "man is coming to fix" no "sorry for the inconvenience" no explanations, and the man never came. There were shared showers down the hall which we found ourselves, the front desk never told us about them.

The bus service that you can get into town is very handy. And the bar maid was lovely. I Was over for the football and it suited for the night but wouldnt recommend it.

Tv in the room couldnt even be reached and when it was none of the channels worked. Also the scenery leaves alot to be desired.

The price was right, the rooms clean, tidy and comfortable and also quiet. It is a pity though that it does not lie on a bus route. Despite the comments below, I would use The Regent again as I probably hit a bad day and we all deserve a second chance.

The first person I met made me wait (out of house), then she put me in the wrong room. The second person was polite and helpful (with my change of room). The third was difficult to understand (foreign) and the fourth was neither a cook nor a waitress but, did it despite that.

Basic but clean and comfortable. I did have en-suite. The road noise at 6.00am was heavy with lorries on the dockside starting up. Triple glazing in the rooms facing regent road should be considered. Do not expect anything but 2 star. Not really a family hotel I would guess but my room with a double and a single bed would be OK.
