Very good location, bed comfortable enough, not the worst place we've stayed in for the money.
Parking a problem, as there is only enough space at the back of hotel for a couple of cars. Thankfully, for us,there was a council car park right across the road on seafront for a couple of quid for the night ( from 6pm-10am), but a problem throughout day. Decor very dated, old building, and breakfast was just about adequate really, tasted bit bland.
Everything apart from location, not very clean, hassle to get in after 11:30, ignore the "free parking" apparently it can be reserved! 5 spaces for a 60+ bed hotel...you've got no hope. could go on and on. If you're under 65 give it a miss!
We stayed on 25th oct only problem loud music caused diturbance ...and was running untill 11pm
Location, location, location! But also... Good size - and warm - room, lovely staff, very good breakfast promptly served, clean and surprisingly modern en-suite. All in all a fab and groovy hotel - We'll be back!
Not enough parking space - but we were warned beforehand. Windows need cleaning URGENTLY!!
servis was exlelant would recommend to others , staff is great to talk too.
GOOD VIBE TO THE PLACE
SMALL TIME SLOT FOR BREAKFAST. BUT.. DID SERVE US QUICKLY
Location and very helpful staff. Efficient dining service.
The interior layout is a rabbit warren with many people confused as to location of rooms and stairs. The corridors possibly need to be redecorated in a style that helps guide people better.
The view of the harbour and sea beyond was wonderful. Good sized, comfortable and clean room with good en-suite. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was good. Sun terrace is superb with views across the harbour. Very useful lift to all floors.
So sorry but it felt like we were staying in a care home, particularly when we used the restaurant in the morning. This was only a negative to us as we are younger, the elderly do need to holiday but I think it should be stated in the description. The decor is very 80's and there is a smell of stale cigarette smoke in the corridors. Think this is left over from a time when smoking was allowed.
Staff were friendly, free wi fi, rooms ok for what you pay. Would stay here again.i
We had a noisy room!!
The Customer Service and food was excellent, when booking through Booking.com I was not aware that Breakfast was actually included in the price so a nice surprise to find that it was. Looking forward to staying there again very soon.
Size of TV was far too small to watch and we would have preferred blinds at the window and Duvets on the beds not the old fashioned sheet and blanket although it was a very comfortable nights sleep.
Staff and location excellent. breakfast very good
noisy room . i had to wear ear plug because of the noise from heating system right out side room / window. it did stop around 1am but came back about 6am.
We thought it was a lovely hotel, very clean and comfortable.Unfortunately there was no pool but the this is due to lack of space,no fault of the hotel. We will stay again.
A noice clean Hotel we only stayed one night to celebrate our anniversary. Breakfast was exellent with good service
I don't think there was anything not to like bit onluy stayed one night would visit again
Great views, Good location, clean, good breakfast, free parking
creaky floors, some parts looking tired.
Staff was chatty and friendly. Room was great, all clean.
There was no fan, which was ok as we brought our own, however it would have been very hot if we hadn't on this particular weekend.
We were told our breakfast time would be 0800. We arrived, promptly at this time to be told that this was wrong and we would have to wait because this time was allotted to a tour group. We had our breakfast time written on a piece of paper which was written by their own staff member.
No parking , door not secured, noise at night from street below, price, oldness
Service was terrific.
Not really a business hotel. More geared towards the mature holidaymaker. Car park too small. As a business traveller would prefer a buffet breakfast and a wider available time.
The location at the seafront was excellent.
The rooms were very very hot with no airconditioning!
The location couldn't be better ! The staff were very friendly made you really welcome, no complaints there!
The rooms were very small but we did manage to get a family room (for three) which I thought was perfect for two!
location helpfull staff
no wifi in rooms
The staff were excellent, couldn't really ask for more.
A slightly uncomfortable mattress was the only downer.
Sea view room was great!
We could here next door room TV,toilet flushing,floors creaking,wardrobe doors closing,really annoying,lift bell,doors slamming,poor insulation
Next to harbour. close to bars/restaurants/theatre.
bit noisy outside hotel at night.
the manager and staff were very helpful and pleasant made us feel very welcome
