The location is excellent and the price we paid ridiculous: 30 quid.Good place if you are staying one night in your way to a different destination.
Not the cleanest place in the world. Smelly carpet at the staircase and cobwebs all around.Breakfast was served until 10am although I was told that was served till 10.30. Anyway, when you pay 30 quid for a double room with breakfast you cannot really complain.
Has I got there to book in I wasn't welcome as was private party on didnt get showed my room it was very dirty in the end I didn't stay there I went to another hotel I wouldn't dare stay there
It Was Fab The Bar Down Stairs Was Fab And Central To Everything
Had a great stay at REM. Clean room AND well equipped. Don't search further
The walls does not isolate sound. If your next room guest talks! in his room - you hear it and wake up.....
Got the room for £30 using booking.com which is a great price. 5 minutes walk from Picadilly. Right next to lots of pubs (there's one downstairs)
After getting into a concersation in the hallway with a fellow lodger the domestic staff came charging out and began swearing at us to be quiet and f**k off if we didnt like it. Granted it was 12 and we were talking quite loudly, but I would have expected a polite request before being sworn at by the staff. Bed was quite creaky but on the whole not bad for a budget place.
Breakfast and breakfast staff.
Cold, tired room with broken bed , loose wall fittings, missing window catches.....
The location was good for canal Street, Deansgate and China Town.
Although we did go for leisure purposes, everybody else staying in the hotel was running down the corridors being extremely noisy until 7:30am and not one member of staff came to ask them to keep the noise down. Didn't get ANY sleep and £70 is definitely not worth sharing a bathroom. Would NOT stay here again!
Room was nice and warm. Very clean. Nice staff.
Dirty Hotel/Hostel, the place smelled horrid, carpets ripped threadbare one of the worst places i have stopped in Avoid
This was our second stay, it was comfortable and served our purpose very well! It was clean and good value.
We had to have ID to go out and back in to the hotel from around 8pm.
Location and price
Location. Friendly staff.
this hotel is near chinatown and town hall. convenient to take the bus.
there is bar under the room, which is very noisy at night. but for those who like bar, it is a good choice.
location beds wifi
no heating in the room dirty shower
breakfast good. heating in room good.
3 days in room no house keeping. shower door stick and no hadle
Location perfect.Staff in bar very friendly and helpful.Bar not to expensive.Great entertainment.Very clean
Needs a lick of paint & a little tlc but the welcome made up for it.
View from room Very nice staff Quietness (midweek) and cosiness Lovely breakfast
Constantly running shower room tap Lack of clothes hanging space
Just the back door, when we left.
very clean; very nice breakfast; quite central.
wifi does not reach last floor that is where rooms are; the owner (or whoever welcomed us at the reception) could be much more friendly; creaking bed.
very nice staff, great location, nice warm room. will be back to stay here :)
wifi didn't work in the rooms only on the stairs
The hotel is right above a bar which caused a lot of noise disturbance until 2AM. Terrible staff, which didn't even want to help us during the noise disturbance. Also the room was far from 33m^2, which was advertised. Instead, the room was more or less 10m^2. There was no WiFi, which was mentioned however.
Nice tidy room refurbished few years ago
Could have thought better on the colour especially hallway and finished of the shower and sink wold be an improvement and rug doctor the carpets in the communal area and get rid of the grey.
Location of the REM was great, right on the doorstep of everything and the comfort and cleanliness of the accommodation was excellent
Check out time could be later than 11
Wasn't too convinced, until at around 3am, when a bunch of girls started shouting on our floor, a guy (presumably one of the staff) came up and told them off. Reason: He knew we had to get up at 5.30am the next morning and he wanted us to be able to catch some sleep.
It is right on top of a disco, hence loads of noise until 2am. Also, seems a bit dodgy at first sight.
