Floors creaked and doors banged (not soft closing). Expected room to have more character/ design as upgraded
-5 mins walking distance from tube station -breakfast -clean room and bathroom -good in service
Hotel great staff very attentive food great, location brilliant over all would absolutely stay there again !!
Nothing brilliant family trip away
Love the location across from the V&A. Love the breakfast and the dinning room. Have stayed here a few times and have been very pleased however...
This time our room on the 5th floor was musty smelling and the bed was saggy. Hope they aren't lowering their standards.
The location and the rooms were a high standard.
There wasn't anything we didn't like.
Hyggelig personale. God service. Pent hotell og rom.
Dorit in the Breakfast lounge was the sweetest person ever.
Lifts were terrible.
Refurbishment of adjacent rooms day-time, looked as if they were tearing the place down. Private parties with loud music late night. Cold breeze from the window.
Nice silent room, at 5 th floor as we requested. Very good beds. Good breakfast. Nice service and attention at the reception/bar/breakfast resturant.
Everything was fine
Just about everything
No feather pillows
The room was clean, bed was firm and comfortable, the location is superb being close to the main museums and also not too far from good shopping areas.
The breakfast is a buffet - so by definition not great. Also the room although not noisy did allow a certain amount of noise from adjacent rooms.
No wifi in room
breakfast was lovely
aircondition did not work room was cold untill they gave us a heater
Friendly staff who are always cheerie and willing to assist. Exceptionally clean. Best sleep in years in the massive bed. Fantastic breakfast and overall great atmosphere
Location was perfect, close to a tube station, ten minutes walk from Harrods and opposite the V and A. Reception booked us an excellent taxi to transport us to Victoria Station, not a cab, more like a limousine. Most importantly all the staff we encountered were most helpful.
We were initially disappointed with the size of our Superior Twin Room, perhaps website photos are a little misleading, however it did meet our needs during our stay.
Location of hotel perfect for sightseeing and close to tube station. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast and lovely relaxed atmosphere in bar area.
First night in Superior room was not great as heating system not working and spent night in freezing conditions. Explained situation to reception staff in morning and was informed that it would be looked into. On our return in the early evening found room still cold with heating still not working. Spoke immediately with reception who after checking room availabilities moved us into the Executive disabled room which was extremely comfortable and warm. Many thanks to reception staff for the help on the matter.
Location - could walk to everything we wanted to do in 2 days, including half-hour's walk from Victoria coach station. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Good choice at breakfast & coffee served at your table in a pot so it kept hot.
Steps inside the bedroom were a bit of a hazard during the night! Not easy to get flow of water in the bath, but shower was ok.
The close proximity to V & A and Oratory Superior twin room was excellent Quiet at night
the hotel has lots of character and friendly staff.
Location, close to tube and museums. Never seems overcrowded at breakfast. Quiet rooms are available in spite of the nearby busy roads.
Location, no more than 5 minutes from tube station. Comfortable rooms and beds. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of selection. Lounge\bar area very welcoming and good service. Staff very helpful.
Shortage of refreshments, although you could ask for extra. Did not replenish biscuits or bath\shower products if you stayed more than 1 night.
The location of this hotel is good for visiting the Royal Albert Hall which is why we selected this hotel.
The superior room was very small and far too hot for November. Found out that superior room is a basic room! The air conditioning on the coolest setting was blowing warm air and the balcony door didn't open. When we asked reception for a key to open it we had to sign a waiver form that we would not jump off the balcony! I think this is a fire risk as no exit from the room other than the corridor in an emergency. They still did not give us the key to open the door after asking twice at reception and had to suffer 2 nights in a very hot room with no ventilation. For this reason I would not recommend staying at this hotel as the attitude of receptionists was poor.
Hotel was easy to get to and close to underground which made visiting different areas easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and staff were accommodating to our requests.
I asked for a takeaway cup so I could enjoy my cup of tea outside with my cigarette but was told there was a £1.65 charge. I thought that was a bit unreasonable.
situation to everything we needed would tell friends about the hotel
nothing to dislike
The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. Breakfast was good. Location across the street from the Victoria and Albert Museum was was very fortuitous.
An email received the week before our arrival indicated that we might have a room upgrade for a small fee. We accepted. Upon arrival the reception said they had no record of such an offer and that the hotel was booked full so in any event an upgrade was not possible. That's sleazy.
