Beautiful building, excellent service and lovely stay
Great location right on tube stop, breakfast was excellent. Historic old building with lots of character.
Fab hotel, fantastic architecture and lovely decor. Great breakfast and friendly staff

Rooms small Average hotel standard rooms in Barlow side of the hotel
Location location location
We couldn't book a table on first night, should have been told process at check in! Even lobby was full!
Staff, breakfast, ambiance, architecture,
Room very dark no light - like staying in a cave only one v small window
Historical building , nice big rooms wonderful grand staircase ... Must be seen ... Mentioned in the Telegraphs top 100 things to do in London in 2012 as a must do tour , breakfasts nice , salmon pasta was delicious evening meal , concierge desk was excellent and very helpful
Paying £350 for a room and wifi was not included , was really disappointing .... Shame on you Marriott ....far better value with Hyatt chain hotels , front desk staff not as helpful as might have been expected , rib eye steak for dinner left a lot to be desired , in room breakfast in morning disturbed by staff forgetting milk for tea and then coming to retrieve the breakfast tray within an hour of delivering it at 9 am , whilst I was trying to get on with my ablutions in bathroom .... Very inconvenient .... I won't be staying again
Breakfast and evening meal were very nice. It was very relaxing. The atmosphere was great and a lovely buzz in the evening.
It was a bit cooler in the restaurant. Fruit tea bags would have been nice in the room .
Very dark in places
1) Concierge Ignas was excellent, helped us with revised transport to Gatwick 2) Staff friendly and efficient
1) service in lobby poor 2) service in Booking Office only so so 3) had to request drinking water for room 4) For nearly 350 GBP per night no free internet, inexcusable 5) King Barlow room small
Ambience and comfort, great service, great staff.
Price! But it is Central London!
Location, style, staff and ambience
Nothing not to like !
I had a room with no view at all.
The location was perfect for us having arrived at Kings Cross. The staff thoughout the hotel were very attentive at all times . We really enjoyed the tour of the old part of the building and to learn some of its history.guide was very good .will stay again when visiting London .and will recommend the hotel to friends . Thank you for giving us a lovely stay.
Can't think of anything to dislike
Some of the breakfast items were a little cool.
The grandeur of the hotel and the pool and spa
Leaving £200.00 as a credit card deposit, which was used. The bath is far too high to get a shower for a shorter person. Telephone calls being charged , which were not taken
Large comfortable quiet room. We stayed for a wedding which was excellent
Breakfast was included in rate and we had in room as suggested by order form left on bed , with £7 tray charge. On departure they tried to charge £104 for breakfast in room, but eventually deducted this. This should be pointed out on arrival or made clear by booking . Com
The staff were excellent. The setting was outstanding. The service was very good.
The water pipes make an awful noise during neighbours morning shower (even in our second room after being moved). The noise from the elevator woke us up even though we were about three rooms away from them (another reason to change rooms from our first night). For the money you are paying, the rooms have a basic design, simple decoration and average bathroom facilities.
housekeeping every day 8.30 knocking on the door ?? holiday .......way too early
Beautiful building, well positioned, great restaurants, friendly staff
Room had window onto a hall with no natural light. TV menu system didn't work, no free wi fi, and could not use hair dryer with a mirror.
I liked the decor, the ambience, thought the hotel was luxurious. (Except the bedroom)
There was nothing we didn't like
location, décor (including corridors that were actually pleasant to walk along!), good sized room, comfortable beds, choice of pillows (crucial for those with stiff necks!), genuinely historical architecture not spoiled by trendy architects.
Flimsy shower fittings. Very expensive snacks (3 coffees, 3 croissants, over £30!).
