friendly efficient staff Good breakfast Good sized room
Staff, cleanliness of room, very comfortable bed
no bath, view a bit industrial( nothing major to moan about)
Very easy to find, well located for parking and train station. Outstanding lobby, very attractive and professional. Helpful and friendly staff. didnt have breakfast or dinner, but the areas looked very clean and i expect they were to a high standard. 24 hour bar is great to have, though didnt go Being allowed a smoking room was a nice surprise Good value for money
No tea and coffee making in room, would have expected it in such a nice hotel.. Whilst comfy, the double bed was just two singles.. which is irritating. I slept fine, but my boyfriend didnt, complained of people slamming doors and running down corridors all night. i did hear some of it but wasnt bothered. So he made us leave at 6.30..
Interesting layout and decor .. alternative, imaginative design that made a refreshing change to the norm. Reception bar area was fascinating. Walk in shower. Huge comfy bed. Food was burgers and pizza only but very good. Central reading location.
Not a location for great views!
The hotel location was fabulous. The rooms where exceptionally clean and the food in restaurant was delicious with very quick service
The reception staff came across very rude and unapproachable, also the wifi was extremely slow an was unable to use
Virtually everything: the toilet, the comfort, the space...all of it and more.
I did not like that the reception and the lounge were not well lit...for me they could do better with brighter bulbs instead of the sickening red bulbs. Even outside the hotel needs more lighting
Stylish lobby, 24 hour bar, beds, good value
Would've been nice to have a sauna
Bedding and cleanliness. Staff helpful too
Quite noisy in bar as a wedding but hey they were having fun!
At the end of the infamous Broad Street shopping, food & leisure area Oracle Mall, Octagon, Reading Council, & other important locations are within walking distance Near all major Bus Routes (e.g. to University of Reading or Royal Berkshire Hospital) & Train Station Spacious rooms with nice daily refill of good tea & coffee Halal food outlets, coffee shops, Tesco Express nearby & open late for all late night hunger attacks Accommodating of children!
Slow-version free Wifi logs you off every 30 minutes unless you pay Breakfast is not free
Staff very helpful
Rooms facing the street vary noisy
The vibe was cool and chilled out, very quiet even though it was on a busy street and parking was a very sort walk away
Only 1 chap on reception meat we had to wiat a while before being able to check in - 4 ahead of us in the que. We had booked a comfort room but were given keys to a stadard twin - wasn't impressed by that. The picture showed a bath but wen you read the small print its not there.
Staff really friendly and helpful also they have a 24 hour bar which helps if you have jetlag.
Parking was roughly about five minutes away.
First contact was a manager and we thought...oh no this is awful! Rest of staff was brilliant and the cleaners on the first floor does a excellent job, it was spotless. Nice funky place for a weekend away.
Incredibly rude manager. If you don't like your job don't work with people
room next to busy highway active through night, normal wifi difficult to connect, breakfast a bit overdone
The location was excellent. The bathroom and shower was more than expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was too hot, breakfast was £18 which is quite expensive, plus the free WiFi meant that a login was required every 30 minutes which was quite frustrating.
Rude staff especially lady on reception. Confusion when we got there because i had paperwork for 3 rooms with 3 different booking numbers and the lady argued i only booked 2 rooms. I have now been charged for 4 rooms. Got home to relalise that they took the room rate again from the holding card without authorisation and it appears i will not get the money back. Will never return to this hotel. Besure you want to pay double the rate if you want to go to this hotel
The reception area was cosy and nice. Bar Staff friendly and Reception Staff competent.
Room was a little cool and air condition would not blow warm air. Not enough pillows and they were too soft. As a result I did not sleep comfortably. Wifi connection was poor.
Great value for money
Even though check in wasn't till later, we were checked in at 12 which was much appreciated.
Nothing comes to mind.
Convenient location, very clean. Friendly and efficient staff
