A good central place to stay at a reasonable price with no frills, about 10 mins walk from the main station. A friendly welcome, good breakfast, perhaps would have preferred a buffet style but I can see room is limited but what was on offer was good and served to you from the menu. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Overall a reasonable place to stay for a few days or overnight, if you want the Ritz then go to the Ritz and pay Ritzy prices. The hotel is looking tired but that is acceptable however more attention to the overall cleanliness, the walls and radiators are dirty/ dusty and have water/ tea splashings etc would go a long way to creating a nicer environment. The carpets were clean and the bedding, crisp and white.

The location was excellent and the staff very friendly I received a phone call at 10 in the morning to say that my card wouldnt work on their machine and neither woulfd the bank card I gave them. I had to travel up early and pay for my room before returning to chck in at the alotted time which was very inconvenient for me. The receptionist I spoke to on the phone was quite cheeky about this and it wasnt till I went up and paid did she inform me that their credit card facilities werent working properly. I had also booked a double room but was informed they had none only a single or a twin. I chose the twin but the room I was given was behind the reception desk. It was very noisy and the walls were very dirty it looked like the room the receptionist and staff would use on a night shift, not what I was expecting at all and even though it advertised its self as a hotel it wasnt a hotel but a bed and breakfast gueat house which was as far I am concerned is false advertising, the breakfast was appalling I ordered the fruit bowl and orange juice, the fruit was canned and plonked on the plate and the orange juice was amixture of orange, grapefruit and apple and tasted disgusting. I wouldnt stay their again ever.

The location and convenience of the hotel. The bed was really small and with only 1 pillow per person was very uncomfortable. Perhaps there should be an option for a spare pillow in the room.

Very nice decor, old style furniture. Friendly reception staff. Warm rooms. The owners seem to be in the process of updating the hotel (tv in room was new). The wireless internet didn't work. The bedside light was not very bright, but the main light was too bright (it had no shade). Some of the fittings were a bit dated but all functional.

Room size is very very small (8 m2?) for double, which is sufficient if you spend all your time to visit the city. Unfortunatelly, in my opinion, room price could lower regarding such comfort parameters and in comparison with same offers in other hotels...

Clean, nice and friendly staff, good location, super comfortable bed ;))) Continental breakfast was very poor...enough to fill the stomach but not enough for a normal size man...a specially if you expect something more for a Christmas breakfast.
