The location was very handy for usduring this stay, the staff were all helpful and welcoming. Found it quite noisy through the night, however we realize that it was a Friday night prior to Christmas. |

Friendly staff, comfortable room with tv and internet. The hotel is old but all the fittings in my room were brand new, including the matress, wonderful and comfortable! The hotel is adjacent to the train station but this was absolutely no problem as the trains were electric and there was no noise, even with the window open. |

Nothing i had to supply my own bleach & light bulbs! Room was dirty the corridors smelled of old food, i had to purchase bleach before i could use the toilet and they could not supply me with enough bulbs to light my room if i wanted edequate lighting again i had to purchase. There was numerous attempts throughout the night to open my room door and i slept on top of the bed as there was enough evidence to suggest someone had slept in the bed and the sheets were not changed. Safe to say i changed hotels the next day! |

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The hotel is very well located for shopping in the heart of Glasgow and the room was warm. Flat screen TV. The bed had no headboard and was situated in the corner of the room against the wall.. There was only one chair and it was not comfortable to sit on the bed so it was difficult for two people to relax and watch TV. The room and the public areas could have been cleaner. The curtains were hanging off the rail. It would not take much to make this hotel better. There was no ice available in the bar. |

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly Our room 215 was in need of some tlc. The carpet at the bathroom door was not fixed properly and could have caused someone to trip. Also our bed was not made one day and the room was not cleaned either. Entrance to hotel did not look as if carpet was cleaned every day. |

Good location next to Central station and the room itself was well laid out and generally comfortable. Had to change room due to the key lock not working and my second room overlooked the main street so was noisy and this kept me awake for some time. The decor around the hotel looks tired but the rooms inside are modern and would suit business/leisure travellers. |

It was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast included in the room rate which I chose because it was the cheapest available, Just a minutes walk from Glasgow central station and so close to shopping, buses sightseeing etc. If you want a budget hotel this is the one to go for. |

The breakfast was nice My room was no way up to the standard it should have been - I has requested a twin room for one night... We got a double room , but chose not to complain. Our room had a number of bad points: The hairdryer was broken, the cupboard doors would not close so the hotel had , not so conveniently, placed a chair infront of the doors to stop them opening. The window would not close!!!.... Outside the window was a busy road and it was not a quiet night. The lightswitch for the main light in the room was broken and took about 5 attempts to get the light on.. Even then it flickered on and off. I'm not one for complaining in person - I just hope that this is sorted for other guests staying. |

Staff were friendly and the location of the hotel is excellent for shopping Although the rooms are clean ie bedding, the hotel has a tired feel and could really do with a spruce up. However, as my reason for staying was shopping, and wasn't in that much, this really isn't that big a deal, but it would make a big difference to the overall appearance should it be addressed |

We waited 10 mins at reception and could find no staff to check in. The room was depressing, lighting poor, walls were dirty, paintwork grimy, pile of debris/plaster under wardrobe unit, bathroom shaving light not working, no proper mirror in room. We did not wait for the breakfast. |
