Score from 1058 reviews Very good
friendly, helpful staff
Lots of stairs, but then again it keeps you fit
Waitress service at breakfast. Beautifully cooked.
No lift ... Not hotels fault
good choice for breakfast
the incessant noise until 1am, from a nightclub
How central it was
The hotel room was terrible with lots of issues and door did not lock properly and room had a smell
Each time I have stayed at this hotel I have had to ask for extra pillows. The single pillow provided is thin and gives no support to the head. However, the staff are helpful and willing. The TVs have no facility to show subtitles which I find annoying as I am hard of hearing
staff were very friendly and helpful, room and bathroom very clean
lots of stairs and no lift, decor a bit tired but still great value for what we paid
Very convenient location near main railway station and city centre.
The entrance to the hotel itself does not leave a good impression but the stairs to reception are clean well maintained.
Can't really complain. A bargain price and a superbly placed city centre hotel plus a good as-much-as-you-can-eat breakfast in the morning before leaving. Would definitely recommend for single night stays. As long as you aren't after luxury then this place is absolutely fine.
One pillow only on the bed and no extras to be found. Not much else wrong to be totally honest.
Price of hotel very good decent breakfast and round service
Super close to the central station and with very nice staff and I'm amazed by the quite of the hotel. BTW the Christmas market is very nice.
The Location. The friendlyness of the staff. The Breakfast Included in the price. The History of the old Building
The room could've benefited from a little upgrade. I.e the door handles was loose. the bedside lamps didn't work..... But those are just minor details to a great nights stay.
close to shops and very central for every thing
no lift but not too many stairs
Staff were very helpful Clean Everything worked
Beds were a bit squeaky Although not the hotels fault music beat from underneath until 2am on a Thursday night Good value for a centrally located hotel
Very friendly staff especially the night porter who is a gentleman
Stairs were a problem
great value, great that breakfast was included. Staff where friendly.
a lot of stairs up to room, no elevator. quite low ceiling in attic room
The noise from Central station kept me awake all night. This is the second time I've stayed, I won't be returning as I can't sleep with the noise. I had to jam a chair up against the door as it wouldn't lock.
Room 218 November mid-week. On second floor one up from reception and breakfast room. There is no lift therefore if there is mobility difficulties would not look to be allocated above this level. The room was at the rear of the building, warm and comfortable and although there was little in way of a view the room was quite even though there had been a football international. Breakfast was basic but reasonable choice.
Awsome location... Just next to Glasgow Central!!! What else would enchant a tourist!!!
Not that easy to locate the hotel as the display wasn't clear.... You don't get any internet wifi signal inside your room!!
Location and price
need two pillows, one's just not enough
Being charged an extra £98 without explanation and having to wait probably best part of a week to have it reimbursed.
Great friendly staff, quiet at night
The breakfast wasnt good! The eggs werent cooked and basically it tasted like it had been made for hours and all the stairs to my room!
Friendly staff, a comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom. Excellent shower. Right next to Central Station and less than 10 minutes walk from Queen Street Station and Buchanan Bus Station.
A little noisy outside if the window was open but nothing too bad.
Ideal location for train stations. Especially Central not too far from Queen Street either. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was great. Comfort & cleanliness of the room is an additional bonus. Choice/variety of breakfast is very good.
