wifi didnt work in room
Second time i have stayed at the Rennie Mackintosh and i look forward to many more stays
free wifi in room Complementary bottles of water and biscuits in room
The sheets and pillow case had a very strong, chemical type smell, which clung to my clothes. The room was poorly lit and had no natural day light The shower fittings were broken It was dirty The breakfast was cold, eggs were hard, the tomato had not been cooked, it was greasy. We were rushed to order our breakfast and it was not freshly cooked. Coffee from machine was undrinkable It was noisy, boom, boom of music from beneath room, when I complained about noise I was told we were in the quietest room
Breakfast was excellent. Room was really comfortable and I had a great sleep. Brilliant location for everything in Glasgow.
Hotel is minutes away from any where you want to visit in Glasgow Price is excellent Breakfast was very good
Friendly staff, central location
Staff were pleasant
Having to park in the NCP some walk away. Hotel is not in the best location ut the price reflects that.
Space of rooms,Staff were wonderful, very good breakfast. bottled water in room, needed more biscuits with your tea. Would stay again, easy access to everything.
Need to have WiFi in rooms, especially if your on the 4th floor and have to go down to the lounge, People hanging around the front door.
Great place! Best location in city, and very good value for money! Will come back again.
Close to everything in central Glasgow
The room overlooked the street so it was very noisy
Location - literally on top of Central train station. Very clean Tea/coffee in room Clean towels Bath in the en-suite Friendly staff
Having a room on the busy street side of the hotel - very noisy all the time and didn't sleep well at all. The hotel has seen better days but it's good value as somewhere to kip down for the night to get an early train the next morning. Also, would be nice to have wifi in room instead of having to go to the lounge area.
Very convenient location. Great breakfast. Lovely staff.
Some rooms are a bit too close to central station. Makes it a bit loud.
Location was good.
Hotel was tired. Needing to update decor.
excellent accomodation: don't be mislead by the "dodgy" look of the entrance, as the door is narrow and looks like it will be a "cheap" place. instead, inside you will find a really nice hotel, with cozy rooms, fully furbished, clean and well prepared. 1 min walt to the central train station too, so what more can you ask?
Tried to charge us double for the room.
Everything from we arrived I had booked two nights but was told it was a single room I had booked and I said it was a double and I was told to phone Booking.com to sort it out with no help from the hotel
No lift, very noisy at night.
Good location, easy to get everywhere. Friendly, helpful staff.
Lack of lift. Street noise.
Location bang in middle of Glasgow. If you don't mind 80s decor, the room was good value and all you need if you are going out and about.
70s vibe decor. Sometimes a bit loud outside.
Staff friendly, facilities very good, ideal position, food good.
After reading many negotive reviews, we throughly enjoyed this hotel and the staff were very helpfull
trains under hotel
Central, staff good . Breakfast good. Location very good. I will come back!
Floors, doors, bed --- everything squeaked or creaked! Earplugs at night solved this. Breakfast could have been later on Saturdays and Sundays! The checkout time,10.30, was TOO early and the staff were knocking at the door 15 minutes before!!Shower was fine but plumbing otherwise a bit dodgy!
clean tidy hotel very good value for money well located curtious staff
would like the front door security better ( people hanging around the doorway ) .
