Receptionist on arrival very friendly and polite, asset to the place, great breakfast, and breakfast staff
Residents bar closed at midnight after being told would be open when we got back from our night out, which was 0030
Location was excellent
Bed wasn't brilliant
Nice comfortable bed nice breakfast
Couldnt get wifi in room
staff were friendly and helpful. centre of glasgow right near station.
alot of stairs to get up no lift. light didnt work in room and plug didnt fit bath hole. quitr old fashioned inside. gangs of people hang about outside the main entrance of hotel shouting ect which can be offputting. also very thin walls ect can hear everything.
The location was spot on for shopping and room and shower room very clean. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order. Would return when next we want a shopping trip.
Hotel is in old run down state, bed was really uncomfortable
Rooms were clean & cosy, good city centre location and helpful staff. Very good value for room and excellent breakfast.
Decor, noise, old furniture and Divan bed was stained down the side! Bathroom floor was on a slope as you made your way to the actual toilet. Breakfast was ok, budget! We were on 4th Floor, loads of stairs, NO LIFT! Even for what we paid l would not go back.
Well placed for subway and centre of city. Very reasonably priced. Hairdryer, kettle etc and hot shower.
In need of some tlc decor - wise. Breakfast stopped at 9am ...9-30 weekends....that's very early and caught some guests out.
No lifts, so dragging luggage up flights of stairs is a nightmare. Even Reception is up 3 flights of stairs. Very old building with creaky floorboards.
In city centre, nice and convenient with only 5 minute walk from train station. Provided a fantastic service which was good value for money. Would defiantly recommend this hotel to friends and family and will stay here again.
Very relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff
Could have done with breakfast starting earlier than 07:30
Friendly,welcoming staff, fair breakfast.
Great location, room was fine, clean and comfortable. Good value for money.
Bed a little hard. Had to approach the breakfast waitress for her to take my order but food was good.
Proximity to Glasgow Central Station
No wi-fi in room despite access code provided on back of room door. Could not adjust heating. Only one pillow on bed; no blanket. Furniture and decor in room shoddy and in need of much repair.
Great location and friendly staff.
Rooms and beds were a bit tired...
Great location shops . Transport. Night Life. Very friendly and helpful staff.the Local people of Glasgow are Dead On.
Central location and value
hotel is old and squeaky
The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was great
There was a lot of construction work outside which started in the early hours if I use the hotel again i would ask for a room not overlooking the main street
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was very good and so was breakfast. Staff were excellent.
The location is perfect. It was right next to my gig Venue. Value was great. The hotel room was massive. Pillow was surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast was great and catered for a vegan.
The shower clogged up so you were standing in your own dirty water. The is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. A major pain and actually enough to keep me from booking again. My main complaint is the night time desk man, an older gentlemen I his fifties or sixties. He said I couldn't take my friend up to the room, even though he was only coming up to get his stuff as we went to a gig earlier and he made him wait downstairs. I was very annoyed. I paid for the room. I can take who i please up as long as they aren't staying. I felt like a child at school. For this reason I probably wouldn't book again but i get the feeling that the hotel wouldn't care about one bad review.
The Hotel is centrally located with easy access to train stations and the various shopping areas.
When I checked-in they tried to over charge me by GBP 77. This was corrected at the time but still annoying. The wifi on the 2nd floor was not usable due to the signal being weak. The Hotel is old and tired, it's in need of a refurbishment.
