Nice and central, staff very good and nice breakfast good value for money
People loitering at front entrance, can be a bit intimidating
located close to central station plenty of storage space staff friendly and helpful
nothing really - just a one night stay
Breakfast was very good.
Very poor sleep due to street noise. Rooms are in need of redecorating and furniture is very tired looking.
Great location near the station. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast served by nice friendly staff.
No lift... Would as for 1st floor room if possible.
The location was excellent, breakfast was good.
My room was a single on the 4th floor, no lift so had to carry case. Room overlooked the roof of Central Station which wasn't good but acceptable given the price and location. Lighting in the room was very poor and the TV was located low down on a wall and not very viewer friendly. Floor had a severe slope so lying in bed was unusual and uncomfortable.
Location totravel facilities
location was near everything a visitor required. Food outlets, near hop on/hop off bus and within walking distance of bus/train.
If you are disabled this hotel will not be suitable as there are stairs everywhere. would have liked wi-fi in room but it was near enough
Great value for money
Could do with new windows could hear every sound from busy street outside as windows did not close properly.
i have been asked to pay upon arrival which I did. The last two days, which I had already paid, I moved to another hotel. I could not stay anymore there!
The location of the hotel is excellent for those stepping of a long train journey at Central station as the hotel is literally 300 yards away from the side entrance/exit to the station. The decor although not authentic is in the style of Rennie Mackintosh. Bathroom was clean and spacious as was the room.
The lack of a lift (which is mentioned in the hotel write up) is only a problem for the higher floors, however there are 3 flights of stairs from the street level entrance t the reception, which would be a problem for the less mobile. Also breakfast finishes at 9am which I feel is too early for a tourist hotel
For a non-driver travelling from the south, the location, literally on the opposite side of a wall from Glasgow Central station, could hardly be better. Other things were also at least satisfactory.
nothing to like a DISGRACE to call it a hotel.
Rooms need updated.
Room was clean and bathroom
Noise all night from the street below.
Room, large, good storage, bed was, clean & comfortable. Flat Screen TV. Plenty, good quality beverages, cookies and water. Constant hot water, toiletries, hairdrier, and plenty towels. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice. Wi-Fi in the bar... Excellent value for money. We will use again. : )
Bedroom, and shower room were dated with slightly marked walls, needing decorated, and updated. Some mould on shower room ceiling. Hot water tap needed adjusted as dripping. However, the rooms were clean, comfortable and very good value for money. Oh, and very creaky floor boards...
Nothing... it was absolutely dreadful
Filthy, broken furniture, broken windows, knackered bed on a slope, drug dealers and prostitutes in the hallway, didnt feel safe at all... check out the tripadvisor traveller photos before you book this dump!
Room was large and clean and beds were very comfortable great value for money
The hotel is set on a main road with plenty of nightlife on top of hotel so it was extremely noisy most of the night even with our window closed, this stopped us getting hardly any sleep, staff did not seem to want to accommodate us with an early breakfast,so we went without
Homely. Fast service Friendly
Location Price Breakfast included in the price
Noise - central location and very noisy outside Room needed updating - looks old and very tired.
Hotel staff were extremely accommodating - hotel is perfectly positioned just by central station in the centre of town, with decent enough facilities. Cannot argue for cost and a lovely room - great breakfast too!
Lack of real WiFi. Some parts of the room needing a bit of TLC/repair.
The location just next to the central station and on the high street is just perfect. Full scottish breakfast.
Shabbiness and window that we could not shut.I admit we didn't complain about it but we would have done had it turned cold. It was screwed in an open position and the window sill was extremely shabby.
Location, Room, Staff
1. The location is excellent. Right next to Glasgow central station. If you take "Union street exit" it takes less than a minute to walk to RM hotel (their sign is quite visible as well). 2. The environment of the hotel was very home like. 3. Lost of eating places available in walking distance (both budget places and fancy restaurants). There's a big co-op in visible distance from the hotel.
1. The guy who was supposed to help me with my luggage was talking on the phone, so I had to wait for about 5 minutes (it seemed long after 6hr train journey). 2. They probably turned off central heating due to the weather not being very cold (I had to sleep with my worm cloths on). 3. The cold water tap of the basin was not working.
