Lovely rooms- spacious and modern with very comfortable beds. Friendly management. Handy location for many places of interest. Nice garden to relax in. Parking could be a little tricky but not a real problem.

The family room was clean and the bed comfortable. We were directed to the family room and not the twin room we had booked a couple of months earlier. The proprietor dd not accompany us. Upon entering the room it smelt very musty. The wall heater, when turned on was very noisy. The issues were not initially raised with the proprietor because my wife and I had spent six hours travelling to the venue and were expected at a nearby care home to visit a relative. By turning on the heater we had hoped to alleviate the smell. As a result of our initial late arrival we returned to the room several hours later expecting the smell to have gone but it continued to pervade the room. Too tired to care we did not complain but raised the issue upon leaving. The proprietor stated they had experienced a leak in the bathroom but she was unaware of the smell. We found that hard to believe, it was that strong. As for the heater, we were informed the room had a thermostat and that turning the heater on was un-necessary.

Quiet and comfortable rooms Had difficulty getting WiFi in rooms. Door shutters did not cut out all the light from spotlights in courtyard area (round the edges). Would have preferred a later check out than 10.00am.

I am a motorcyclist, as are the owners. So you will find them very "bike friendly" and parking is pretty secure within the motel compound, although not covered.

I am replying on behalf of John Evans as I and my disabled son travelled and stayed in the Reservoir Hotel with him. As they are both disabled it was easy for me as i look after themm both and being all on one level it was very accessable. We will definately be going back again but for a longer stay next time. Thank you. Kind regards Rita.

Only stayed 1 night as an overnight stop off after visiting Bath for the day and before going onto Somerset, picked this overnight stop as very close to Cheddar Gorge/Caves which is something we also wanted to do before going onto Somerset. Room very clean, friendly couple that run the Motel, plenty of parking and 3 Alpacas in the garden!

We stopped over for one night to revisit cheddar and as a stop-over on our way to Devon. We would stay again.Had breakfast which was excellent .Beds very comfortable ..The Lamb Inn in the village was recommended by the owner of the motel, well worth a visit, dinner was very good.If travelling with anyone who finds walking difficult as both my husband and grown up son this motel is ideal . Directions need to be better.

Clean room within easy walking distance to the village for your evening meal. There was heavy winds during the night and a large car port blew onto our car. At 7am the owner came out and moved the port but never once said to us to go and check if the car was damaged! We felt this was very cheeky, they should have come clean, that is what insurance is for! I'll try and add the photo once I've sent this review.

The motel rooms are situated around a central courtyard behind the owner's house. Parking is either in the courtyard or in a yard behind the chalets. Continental breakfast served in the conservatory at the back of the owner's house. Wi-Fi is available in the conservatory but my rather aged laptop could not get any signal in the room. I could not get a connection using a mobile phone dongle in the room. This according to the owner is very poor mobile phone coverage in and around Axbridge. Comfortable bed, softer than the average hotel matress.

Great location. A short walk into beautiful abridge and a short drive to cheddar. Room was comfortable and clean. Room was fairly cold during the night (albeit an unseasonably cold night)

Our room was very nicely furnished with a lovely bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The location was ideal for visiting Cheddar Gorge, Wells and the surrounding countryside. We would definitely recommend the Reservoir View Motel (although we didn't have a view of the reservoir from our room).
