Nice receptionist, good service. Nice lounge.
What I like about RestUp is the fabulous staff that always polite, friendly, very helpful and always greet you first. I love the space you get at this hostel compared to the claustaphobic feeling you get from other hostels. Great clean showers and toliets, plenty of space in your room to store your big suitcase without tripping over, two massive lounges to chill out with big TV and plenty of seating and downstairs another chill out areas. Always hot water and balanced. Plus is good place to meet new people without any pressure. After staying here during the week for last 6 months I strongly recommend to another looking for great place to stay and only 17mins from Leicester Square.
Not much I can say of what I dont like about this hostel. Only 2 suggestions which make place even better is: 1: With Hostel full (400 people) need a stronger WiFi as after a long day at work you come back to chill out to watch a movie or play online game you cant access the WiFi due to everyone on logged in on their phones, tablets and laptops you have to wait till people go to bed before you can access the internet. 2: Would it be possible to change the food menu to more continental food i.e Italian(not spaghetti bolognese), French, Latin, Chinese food as you can go across the road to choice of 4 fast food eateries? The breakfast be updated to cater for people with food allergies? Apart from that I say this hostel is virtually perfect
We really liked the location of the hostel in regards to getting to central London.. it made sightseeing a whole lot easier! We loved the way the hostel looked.. pretty cool and funky. There was a great atmosphere with people always around. The lockers were great and meant we could store our belongings safely as we explored!
There was nothing we didn't really like but the wifi could have been available in the rooms.. even in the tv room (which was cool) there wasn't a great connection!
The WiFI signal in the bedroom was almost always unstable and there was not way to charge my cell phone in it.
For a short visit in London this home stay is perfect! Location is not too bad, in only few minutes by bus you are in the city. Clean & fancy building !
Good beds and nice facilities
General area not that safe walking at night
I particularly like the location; very close to Central London. The hostel was fairly clean, and had all the basics facilities. The highlight of my stay is without a doubt the customer service; the staff were approachable, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile: special mention to Daniel at the reception desk, you're a star! Thank you for being so accommodating and making sure I had a great stay at the hostel.
Value for money Ideal location, very close to tube and easy to get to central areas Friendly staff at reception available 24/7
Breakfast staff not the most friendly people I ever met. They did not have our name on their list twice. Lift was not working for the majority of the time.
Room smelled terrible.
The bed was fine and I could have a good rest.
I was on a 3rd floor plus the mezzanine and the elevator only works since 4th floor, it was really hard to go up and down with luggage and the internet only works at lobby where of course it was full and you don't find place to stay. The cleaning was poor in bathroom.
wifi onle in the first floor and reception
Excellent transport links across London. Good pricing for last-minute booking. Helpful staff.
Lift is frequently out of order, making life difficult for the mobility-impaired. Noisy.
Comfortable spacious rooms, nice staff, good atmosphere.
My key was programmed for the wrong door literally but the staff fixed this quickly after pulling me from the bed ... still ok to stay.
No wi fi at room
Location is very good.
*The housekeeper was so noisy, she went into the room and with her noise woke up to everybody, and she had a walkie-talkie and the sounds were horiibles. Its ok do the cleanness, but the women than do it, they don't know anything about respect the guest. *The hostel don't provide towel, you need to pay *You have to pay for lockers, but if it's a hostel, it mustn't be so. *The heating radiator inside of the bedroom wasn't working. *All time the lift wasn't working
Facilities, location, the building
It is in an ideal location close to many tourist attractions and you won't have trouble finding it.
The food is a bit pricey.
I liked the location.
I didnt like the system o using lockers and key deposit. Every time you open the locker you have to put 2-3 pounds to lock it. For example you put your bag in it, then you realized that you forgot your toothbrush, when you open it, you start from the beging and put pounds to lock it. That's not friendly. Also I forgot to give the key back when I checked out, I called them after a day to day I'm going to bring it back, they said it doesnt matter, you lost your deposit (10£).
Quiet room. Friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Good catering service.
Cramped accommodation. Inadequate bedding for winter. Pillows too thin. One lift not enough: it was out of order at one stage.
The windows was so old and bad that it was cold inside room, you literally feel like staying outside. We were spending time in TV room and sleeping with closes on in our room
It's location is okay and easily accessible. The price is great for a budget hostel, though the room I stayed was a bit stuffy, the quality of the bed and bedding was great. Overall I'll say it's a good place for budget accommodation.
It is safe and clean. The bus station is just besides the hotel. The poeple in the front desk is really nice.
Sometimes it is a little bit noise. No wifi.
Cheapest rates in London and convenient location to main underground line.
Good value for money, the staff was helpful, the common areas had wifi and the interior design was really cool. Especially liked the TV room with nice bean bag chairs :)
The room was very small, but it wasn't a problem. The hostel has an elevator but it wasn't working. The showers only gave water 20 seconds and then you had to push the button again.
location is surprisingly good, easy 20 min work to Tower Bridge Really well priced, on the basis 'you get what you pay for', this was good.
Had to pay to hire a towel, that was filthy when I got it. Shower only OK, very small
