rooms abit old fashioned
Comfy rooms,with excellant staff.
Noise from entertainment below
Bedroom size was good and bed comfy. Room and bathroom clean. Staff friendly.
Room felt cold even with heat on. Very skimpy on complimentary tea, coffee and milk, no biscuits. Shower impossible to get in due to either being scolded or frozen as fixed position shower head, soaked before you could adjust temperature. Online booking means no breakfast included - breakfast too expensive.
Lovely room with nice view
Rude & unwelcoming receptionist both checking in & checking out.
Very very warm welcome. Lovely warm room. Pristine white sheets. Spotless bathroom. Shame we just slept and left. It was lovely.
Nothing not to like
The room was very comfortable with a great shower. The room had everything you need. The staff in the bar area were much more friendly and greated us with a warm welcome.
The only complaint was the very unfriendly women on the reception when we checked in! First impression wasn't the best.
One surly barmaid who hid in reception whenever she could and didn't like having to top up short measures
We were wokem up about 2am in the morning by somebody knocking really loudly on the outside glass door which went on for nearly an hour, also it was noisy with people going back to their hotels
Karaoke with poor singers, audible from the rooms
Friendly staff, good clean facilities and easy access.
Too much kareoke, too much Bingo etc on a Sunday in the only resident bar causing little room to relax.
Location and bar area excellent
Getting a little dated
Mattresses was awful and room very dated and tired looking
Staff good room clean and luxurious bar good carvery good
Breakfast not good value off money
Bed was comfortable. Walking distance to amusements, town centre shops and beach..Polish female receptionist friendly with lovely smile and sense of humour .She could teach the rest of the staff about customer relations. You asked for a 200 character minimum review but I am sorry I can't muster up enough positive comments to meet this criteria.
Arrived at hotel and greeted by female receptionist . Very matter of fact and not very welcoming. Given key to room 208 attic room on 2nd floor. No offer to carry suitcases....luckily I am a reasonably fit pensioner and needed to be as there was no lift and I had to negotiate 3 flights of stairs to reach room. Although clean the room was very dated in appearance and shabby. Being an attic room it had low ceilings and we needed to be careful not to bang head on rafters. Surely this hotel should have different rates for different sized rooms? The refrigerator in the room was not working and the teamaking facilities were sparse and if needed replenishment would have cost extra £5 on bill. Not even a biscuit supplied. For rooms costing £87.50 standard rate I would have expected breakfast to be included in the price not to have to pay an extra £7.50 on the bill. It seems that the owners are more interested in getting the public into the bar to listen to second rate entertainment and karaoke sessions until late at night. We were awoken at 6.30 am by noisy revellers consuming cider on the premises who came into the hotel to use the toilets. Bath was recessed into an alcove and was very difficult to get in and out. The glass shower screen was positively dangerous as it only opened a few inches before bring obstructed by the sink.If this hotel was part of TV programme" 4 in a bed" it would come last and the other competitors wouldn't have paid more than £40 a night to sleep there. All in all not an experience I would like to repeat!
Friendly and helpful staff.
The staff were great, and the location is simply superb. The rooms we stayed in both had sea views.
We had the four post room and it was great. Very throne looking with large gold curtains. Great size n came with an extra single bed which I didn't expect.
The bathroom wasn't very nice but it wasn't bad either.
Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is very clean and well kept. The hotel restaurant is perfect. It is quiet, with appropriate background music, and the service is excellent. The menu is impressive, and food is cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chef.
The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. No staff at desk to deal with any problems during the night.
Everything - the staff we met were all really helpful The hotel was lovely and clean we couldn't have asked for anything better. I will be going again
Nothing everything was lovely
Being put in room above karaoke no sound proofing ,tv in bad position, squeeky bed, bad singing till midnight no alternative room choice
Nice and clean and staff very friendly also location was great too. Would stay again but for longer next time as we only stay for 1 night.
Really close to the beach. large clean room. Bar meals very nice. All staff were very nice Everything in the room you could want.
Nothing for the children at night entertainment on way too late. Pull cord in bathroom way too high so child could not go to bathroom in night without getting you up as she could not reach.
Arrived early but the room was ready and the receptionist was happly to let us in. Very friendly staff. The hotel is in a good location to walk into the town, but not too close to be noisey. The free hotel car park was a big bonus.
A little pricey for the room size and standard. The room decor is a bit dated. Don't remember the last time I had a black plastic toilet seat in a hotel en suite!
The location was brilliant lovely rooms excellent food too
Was a bit noisy were our room was at the top of the stairs with a young child with me could hear people coming and going at all hours although they would have moved us f I had asked
The location was perfect for us, at the quiet end, the staff were all lovely and very helpful
The food could do with a little improvement would think twice about eating there which was a shame as everything else was perfect
