Food and service in two main restaurants very good. Bed in bedroom very comfortable. Location excellent for immediate walks in forest. Very much a wedding venue at weekends. 4 the wkd we stayed!!! So non- wedding guests a bit overlooked overall. The lounge bar desperately needs updating: like an old people's home. Service unbelievably slow or just no one at the bar. Arrival: no one in sight to help you with bags/welcome you to hotel/ show you way to reception/ etc. Hilarious! We have a gd sense of humour so just enjoyed best bits and laughed about the rest and began to even enjoy wondering what latest set of wedding guests would be wearing etc??!!!!!!!! Spa tiny. Just one treatment room.

The hotel was magnificent, set in the New Forest with wild deer, horses and rabbits roaming freely. The interior of the hotel and decor is overwhelming. The service was excellent. Every member of staff was polite and professional and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean. We had a wonderful stay and could find no fault. We would definately recommend this hotel to everyone and hope to return one day.

Hotel and grounds very nice. Room was excellent and the view into the New Forest was lovely. We had a table booked in the Grill Restaurant for the evening. The price for a Steak was still very High. No real price change than the other main restaurant. Also the cost for a glass of wine was I thought over the top £9.60 for a large glass is to much !!!!! Next to the restaurant there was a disco going on, loud music could be heard in the restaurant.For that price and quality of the Hotel you should not hear that when you are having your evening meal.

The location of the hotel was amazing, the drive up to it was stunning. When you see the outside of the hotel you feel like you are in an exclusive place. Room service was excellent and the staff were happy to help you enjoy your stay, and nothing was to much trouble. Check out time should be midday. The evening bar needs to be more lively with some music at the very least. The heating was also to hot throughout the hotel, so you were actually sweating walking around it.

Beautiful location, relaxing atmosphere We dined in the grill restaurant. The service was rather slow and the main course I ordered was wrong. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he blamed the chef and said he would speak to him. Thankfully, I was only charged for the wine.....not very impressive!

Beautiful hotel, beautiful setting, large rooms, lovely bathroom. Shortage of staff for whole stay. Lounge bar, breakfast, bar staff. Shame because detracted from beautiuful hotel. Had several cob webs on windows.

Great weekend we were looking for a long awaited break to relax which is exactly what we did. The staff were attentive and service was excellent. The wrong food arrived when ordering to the room and we had to wait for a drinks service but when it arrived we were given free of charge because of the wait

Fantastic situation for exploring the new forest on foot. Afternoon tea and Grill Bar food absolutely delicious as were freshly baked pastries in the morning. Breakfast in bed at no extra cost- superb! The beds were hideously uncomfortable. We were not sure if it was a ploy to encourage back massages!

A lovely hotel in the forest, very peaceful and relaxing. We were upgraded as it was our honeymoon and brought a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room. Staff were extremely friendly and service excellent. Room very clean and comfortable, top marks for delicious breakfast in the room at no extra charge. We would highly recommend and will be coming back again. Restaurant very pricey and you are captive unless you fancy driving to the local towns. Food yummy despite the cost.

Good restaurant staff, good food. They classed a double room booking as pushing two single beds together! Ridiculous!! This was a surprise 30th birthday surprise for my boyfriend so I was very disappointed. When I asked them to rectify this whilst I had dinner they just made the bed again!

Set in beautiful New Forest which was stunning in autumn light. More of a volume hotel packing in the wedding guests than a peaceful weekend retreat. It was not what we expected from the website. If you want peace and quiet - avoid.

Really good food in the Armada Restaurant at dinner. Lovely setting and characterful room. Walks in the New Forest directly accessible from the hotel gorunds. Pleasant staff, particular the serving staff. Good tea making facilities and guest toiletries. Local apple juice at breakfast a nice touch. Not enough hot water in the evening, although staff were polite and helpful when we reported this to them and there wasn't a problem the following morning. It would be nice for a hotel in this price bracket to provide robes for guest use. Breakfast cooked dishes were a little on the cool side when brought to the table.

We really liked the fabulous location and impressive building. The staff provided a good service and were welcoming, friendly and efficient. The room and general hotel environment was comfortable and stylish and the food was very good. A great, relaxing stay.

The location was amazing The staff were helpful, especially I would like to thank one of the male supervisors (Sorry, I did not get his name, so I can only describe him as having a Birthmark on his face) But when Jan was not well on the night he was most helpful. The bed was uncomfortable, seemed to slope away from the centre on both sides (Exbury Room). Only one towel in the room.
