Rhinefield House Hotel  

The hotel was magnificent, set in the New Forest with wild deer, horses and rabbits roaming freely. The interior of the hotel and decor is overwhelming. The service was excellent. Every member of staff was polite and professional and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean. We had a wonderful stay and could find no fault. We would definately recommend this hotel to everyone and hope to return one day.

Hotel and grounds very nice. Room was excellent and the view into the New Forest was lovely.

We had a table booked in the Grill Restaurant for the evening. The price for a Steak was still very High. No real price change than the other main restaurant. Also the cost for a glass of wine was I thought over the top £9.60 for a large glass is to much !!!!! Next to the restaurant there was a disco going on, loud music could be heard in the restaurant.For that price and quality of the Hotel you should not hear that when you are having your evening meal.

I found all the staff very helpful,they knew about the house and it,s history.The location in the forest was good and very peaceful,the room we had was very clean and serviced well,the food was excellent with a good choice for breakfast and dinner.Would I stay again,yes

Beautiful location, relaxing atmosphere

We dined in the grill restaurant. The service was rather slow and the main course I ordered was wrong. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he blamed the chef and said he would speak to him. Thankfully, I was only charged for the wine.....not very impressive!

Great weekend we were looking for a long awaited break to relax which is exactly what we did. The staff were attentive and service was excellent.

The wrong food arrived when ordering to the room and we had to wait for a drinks service but when it arrived we were given free of charge because of the wait

Fantastic situation for exploring the new forest on foot. Afternoon tea and Grill Bar food absolutely delicious as were freshly baked pastries in the morning. Breakfast in bed at no extra cost- superb!

The beds were hideously uncomfortable. We were not sure if it was a ploy to encourage back massages!

Good restaurant staff, good food.

They classed a double room booking as pushing two single beds together! Ridiculous!! This was a surprise 30th birthday surprise for my boyfriend so I was very disappointed. When I asked them to rectify this whilst I had dinner they just made the bed again!

Really good food in the Armada Restaurant at dinner. Lovely setting and characterful room. Walks in the New Forest directly accessible from the hotel gorunds. Pleasant staff, particular the serving staff. Good tea making facilities and guest toiletries. Local apple juice at breakfast a nice touch.

Not enough hot water in the evening, although staff were polite and helpful when we reported this to them and there wasn't a problem the following morning. It would be nice for a hotel in this price bracket to provide robes for guest use. Breakfast cooked dishes were a little on the cool side when brought to the table.

It has very special memories for us as we got married there 10 years ago. Its good to see the standard remains

The upgrade

The setting, the grounds, superbly comfortable bed, the atmospheric indoor pool and spa.

Breakfast service was slow, tea was cold by the time any food came.

Excellent location, a historic hotel with luxury. The rooms were of a high standard and the staff were excellent polite and always willing to assist. The food was of a high standard, the only disappointment was one of the resturants was closed (Grill Room).
