The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location, well signposted.
Shower very poor, no pressure. Electrical equipment in room had not been pat tested for at least 4-5 years and when using the hair dryer it nearly caught fire! Room was not cleaned on second day and night staff attempted to clean at midnight. Standard of breakfast was poor, had to ask for everything and then wait. No black pudding on last morning. Had no Sauvignon Blanc and ran out of lemonade as a mixer.
Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Bathroom was not clean, generally grubby with marks on walls and doors and around sink area. Walls were paper thin meaning that when the guests in the bedroom next door came in at 3am and decided to have a 50 minute conversation we heard every word! Bar area very basic and outside seating shabby with benches falling apart.
Pleasant and helpful staff nothing too much trouble. Pleasant and well kept surroundings. Food although typical of pub grub was well cooked and reasonably priced.
Dining room not open in evening - having to eat in bar/lounge with TV's on walls on all the time. This is a Hotel which caters mainly for business people.
Didn't like anything about the hotel
Only one woman at the reception and the same woman trying look after the bar were the beer was awful wife had a coke witch was flat
Mainly mature staff trying their very best.
Understaffed. Grossly overextended hotel our room was so close to the railway you could virtually touch it! Yes, trains rumble past every hour or so two or three at a time and as well as noise physically shake the building. The carpet in room 26 was filthy even a quarter biscuit lay on the floor near the bed! The room was set up for one person or it was penny pinching one towel set, one packet of biscuits you get the picture. The blurb on bookings.com is not accurate. This hotel is pretending to be something it definitely is not! The breakfast buffet was poor, minimal and the tables were not cleared, no direction as to how it worked etc. one poor mature lady on her own trying to do it all. We would never revisit this place.
Good location for Northbank Industrial Estate for business. Black Swan pub is within walking distance.
I asked for a quiet room, but got put in a ground floor room, (no.1), at the front of the building, right next to entrance and reception, so had people stood outside, smoking at night. Smoke came into room through windows. Why not put me in a second floor room at back of hotel - there were rooms available. Breakfast room is too big and very bare/cold looking. Breakfast was ok, but you had to ask for fried eggs, rather than be asked. Bar area is not cosey or inviting to sit in at all.
Motorway services-type cafe.
Nice and friendly staff. Basic facilities but good value for money.
Internet was slow from my room.
The room was lovely.
Location, staff and facilities were very good and the night porter was very accommodating with our late night requests. Overall a very pleasant stay thank you all.
As a fire service sports and social club our account does not come with a bank card. Found it strange that the lady behind reception told me know one ever pays by cheque and the establishment would not except one from our organisation so had to frantically find the money between us to pay the bill. Perhaps our bank isn't aware of this as I have just received a new cheque book from them this morning, will ring them later to let them know the receptionists view. Honestly though, all in all a great place to stay with modern, comfortable rooms in a lovely surroundings x
Very good value for money.
staff, bedroom, everything, don`t hesitate to book this hotel if you want to be in countryside on the outskirts of Manchester
The way the staff will go that extra mile to make sure your stay is comfortable and ensure you are looked after.
No fruit salad or yoghurt on the breakfast bar.
Room Cleanliness needs upgrade decor bathroom tiles etc
Friendliness of staff Facilities in the ensuite room
Noise of trains but my husband didn't mind! On the first night poor service when we went into the bar for a meal.we were ignored for quite a while but we did enjoy the meal.
the customer service was excellent we were made very welcome by ALL staff including being advised on best places to go out to eat etc no pressure to eat at hotel restaurant special thanks to yvonne who brought us a very much needed jug of coffee in the morning breakfast was also excellent i really could not fault it would definately stay again and have already recommended to my friends and family brilliant place for a short break away thanks everyone :)
there was nothing i didnt like and I really did have a fantastic stay
taking money out of my account with no phone call disgusting
Brilliant Value, big bed room, big bathroom. friendly accommodating staff every thing and every where extremely clean breakfast very nice, staff very attentive
no complaints about anything
Everything from arrival to departure
staff very helpful and good food
hotel was a little quiet (of other people!)
Our room was very clean and the beds were really comfy and snug.
Both mornings we arrived for breakfast at 9 a.m. All a bit hap hazard. Dirty tables around and about. No juice. Tables weren't laid properly but the tea and toast was lovely.
The location, the surroundings, comfort, food
Noise of cars starting up outside our window at 2.00 a.m.
Food. Cheerful staff.
room tended to be hot and stuffy. Carpet had not been hovered.
Have stayed here three times, as we have family living close by. Not a luxury hotel, but fine considering the very low price. Rooms are very large. Breakfasts fine. There is plenty of parking space. Next to station but only limited service.
Bedrooms located near the main reception hear noise from the main bar area.
