Breakfast was good, Rooms were comfy and staff pleasant
Bathrooms could do with a makeover and windowsills could do with cleaning. That is a bit sad I know. But that's what I picked upon. Draws and wardrobes needed dusting.
Not told next to main railway line, room backed onto line and was noisy
Comfort of the bed
Hotel too close from the train rails . Trains are making noise and vibrations that can be feel from the room
stayed one night only, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was great
Very helpful booked taxi for me and my Dad. Very clean. Near train station to get to Old Trafford. Very clean. Lovely breakfast. Cant fault it.
Nothing to Dislike
Location was good.
The lounge area was the only place to eat and there was football on, plus the menu was very limited.
bar food lovely hunters chicken to die for. pity restaurant wasn't open.
breakfast dissapointed not very warm limited choice ie eggs. Also could have done with the settees in the bar area so when you have eaten you have a place to go sit and relax and drink rather than returning to room.
Room size Breakfast Helpful staff
Location to the venue we were visiting.
Booked 5 weeks prior to our stay but got there and apparently we weren't booked in! Breakfast was cold. Room was dusty.
The hotel got mixed reviews I was very pleased the staff were extremely helpful and warm personalitys nothing was to much trouble for them I will be going back again
No piped music in bar. area and to much football on TV breakfast was great
It was clean but in need of a spruce up
Comfort and cleanliness.
Nothing to dislike
breakfast was until 930am went down at 925 as liked a bit of a lie in but there was only enough left for my wife and I had to settle with cereal.
Staff were extremely friendly, the room was very clean and nice also, breakfast was excellent as was the location.
Couldn't get additional pillows for the night
Food pricey for what it was WiFi did not work
Good clean and friendly hotel. Well located with easy assess into Liverpool.
Nothing I did not like
great location lovely setting nice surroundings rooms ok
noisy trains late at night early in morning bar area devoid of any feelgood atmosphere makes you want to go out straight away breakfast buffet not fresh should be served breakfast in small hotel
Good quality hotel. Excellent value for money. Room spacious, clean and comfortable.
Ground floor room with cars parked directly outside the window, so no privacy. Woken very early by vehicles being started.
Rooms were quite large and well equiped, tv, alarm/radio, hair dryer, desk and chair. I had asked for a blanket and sheet not a duvet and that was ready on my arrival. I never heard the wedding reception which was going on over the first night, so sound penetration was low, thank goodness. The staff were helpful if a bit disorganised.
That no inventory had been done lately, the TV did not work in first room and the secnd room was missing the hair dryer so I saw more of the hotel than some. I don;t like showers over baths but then that seems normal these days. The menu had "off items" on it, although the food was of quite adequate quality.
Beds comfortable bathroom good tv all bedroom electric goods excellent ie tea making all excellent and clean bedroom
The hotel is suitably located for my Irlam visit, but it feels a little tired. Staff were helpful enough and the buffet breakfast was nice enough.
The location is a little away from anything else of note. I can see it being suitable for functions however.
We read the reviews after we booked the Hotel and where a bit disappointed. However. The staff where faultless and could not do enough, The room was adequate for an over night stay, The nearby train line was no where near as bad as the review we read, We had a lovely time in the restaurant although it was lacking in atmosphere probably due to the lack of customers, I feel the Hotel has such a lot to offer and just feels a bit unloved....!!!
Overall cleanliness was disappointing. It could probably do with a deep clean once a week ? Carpets where stained and worn, If you checked the 4 corners of a room you would probably find dust and grime. The outside of the Hotel is lacking in a facelift, eg plant pots with dead flowers etc in. I do feel this Hotel has so much more to offer ... I would stay there again to see any improvement.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location, well signposted.
Shower very poor, no pressure. Electrical equipment in room had not been pat tested for at least 4-5 years and when using the hair dryer it nearly caught fire! Room was not cleaned on second day and night staff attempted to clean at midnight. Standard of breakfast was poor, had to ask for everything and then wait. No black pudding on last morning. Had no Sauvignon Blanc and ran out of lemonade as a mixer.
