Comfortable rooms staff very obliging, hotel convenient for warrington/manchester/the traffords/chesire I.E. tatton park, station on the doorstep, however how often the train stops we did not find out as we drove everywhere, there is no bus route that is the only limitation, taxis however are not expensive in the area.

The hotel provided relatively cheap accommodation in a very pleasant rural setting. The quality of the rooms and food was good. As an added bonus there is a spa and gym about 10 minutes away which guest may use free of charge. All the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful.

Good location for the purpose of my business trip. Free and fast WIFI a real plus - forgot to bring some documnets with me. Room was cold (window left open) - had trouble getting the heater to work initially. Bathroom showing its age - a little tatty but a fair relfection of the price bracket. Breakfast a little on the stingly side - just one small budget sausage in the English breakfast.

All the staff I met were happy to help and a pleasure to deal with, especially the reception staff. The carpets in my room were stained and although the room was spotlessly clean this did spoil the overall look of the room.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. They were kind enough to let us know in advance that our four poster bed room was unavailable due to technical faults and we would be placed in one of the larger double rooms with a complimentary bottle of wine. The decor was slightly outdated.

When I visited it was quiet and i could park beneath my room window. Clean facilities well presented. Efficient receptionist. Recommend it and will visit again. Breakfast times were short. So in the end I didnt use it.

I found the staff very friendly, the room excellent: The amenities in the room (en-suite, bath and shower, TV, wardrobe space etc) all to be of the highest standard. The bar and restaurant areas were very well kept. The atmosphere throughout the whole stay was friendly and all the staff were helpful and seemed well motivated. The hotel's proximity to the Trafford Centre was, in fact, the principle reason (and the price) that we booked The food was very basic: The menu was small and we found it difficult to choose more than one meal that we both liked on two nights. Also, although the food was prepared OK and there was plenty of it I couldn't describe it as high quality, The curry bore no resemblance to curry as I understand it but, I stress that it was OK and the portion sizes were great

We liked the quiet country location although near the motorway it was peaceful Unlike Holiday Inn experiences in the past. We loved the modern decor and the friendly and helpful staff. They made us feel at home. Thank you all

Good location for our business, local facilities and price Being the wrong side of the ship canal toll bridge may be a problem as we sometimes have to work during the night when the bridge is closed.

I came for a wedding taking place at the hotel on the 5th November2011. I travelled up from London and stayed on the Friday and Saturday nights. When I arrived in my room 24, it was freezing, the heating was not switched on to warm the room and I had to climb under the duvet until the room warmed up. My feet were dead with cold. The Wedding was wonderful, the staff very helpful and courtious. The food was delicious especially the bacon and sausage and the wedding meal and buffet, was gogeous. However, I arrived at breakfast at 9.15am,on the Sunday, breakfast finished at 9.30, on the Sunday morning, there was not much cooked breakfast left at the self service. I asked if more cooked breakfast was on the way. I was abruptly told by an older waitress that, that was it, as breakfast ended at 9.30, I told her that it was only 9.15. The hotel was full with guests from the wedding and many appeared at just at 9.30 ish for breakfast, to be told the same in a rude manner by the said waitress. This upset the bride and groom who spoke to the manager. More cooked brekfast was served after a short period, however I felt that the waitress was rude and abrupt. The bride told me that this was the only thing that had spoilt her wedding, otherwise a wonderful time was had by all. I enjoyed my stay and would use the hotel again. I hope this helps with your staff trainning. Warm regards Mrs Catherine Payne-Gray

“Fantastic hotel! Didn't know what to expect because of the price - what a suprize!!! Immaculate, comfortable beds, stunning bathroom and temperature control in the bedroom . . . couldn't of asked for better! Didn't eat in the bistro so couldn't comment on the evening meal, however, breakfast was lovely. Just 20 minutes away from the Trafford Centre and a few minutes away from Warrington retail park. Great for a shopping trip!” Jodie, Southport |
