Location to my next days work. Warm welcome & friendly staff. Reasonably priced and honestly rated at 3 star. Room 5. Mattress needs replacing. TV picture faulty. Mould inside windows. Dirt on window sills. Carpets need deep clean to rejuvenate. Dirt in corners of bathroom. Breakfast buffet is not kept hot under lamps.

The girls on reception both in the evening and morning were excellent and very attentive as I was on my own. Breakfast was particularly nice.

Staff were absolutely excellent Location is very nice and relatively convenient (there was a wide choice of restaurants in nearby Culcheth). Bedroom could have done with cleaning better. Breakfast - menu needs updating, (microwave) overcooked scrambled eggs. Mattress protector that makes you sweat in the night

The room was large and well appointed. The evening meal was very disappointing. When asked what wine was available the waiter didn't know and had to be prompted to go and find out. During the meal he continually and noisily dragged tables across the hard floor surface getting ready for breakfast service.

Lovely staff. My little girl was given an Easter egg when we left. Value for money we got the room at a reduced rate of £49 + 10 for our 3 year old's z bed. Couldn't hear the trains even though next to the trainline. £10 for a z bed for our 3 year old daughter was a bit steep considering it collapsed when she sat on it. There was a sheet and an acrylic blanket but no duvet. The electric heaters in rooms are a bit 1970s and the palce would benefit from central heating. Strong smell of stale smokers smoke as you walk down the corridors. One tiny cheap sausage with the otherwise good breakfast was a bit tight! The more modern 3* hotels (Holiday Inn) offer more..yogurts, pastries, fresh cut fruit. Country House is also a bit misleading as the decor is rather dated and cheap. A good overhaul. Bathrooom extractor fan?? (There was some form of ventilation). The bathroom also had a fan heater which took a while to warm up the room so no-one was tempted to shower.

The staff are very welcoming and accommodating, and the room was clean and comfortable enough for us to stay three nights. Although there was a wedding one of the nights we didn't hear a peek, but this may be because of where our room was.

Location, friendly staff The fact that despite specifying a "pet friendly" hotel in my initial searches it turned out, after booking (and a non-refundable payment), that the hotel is not really "pet friendly" and I was asked to pay an addition £15 per night for the dog (something which wasn't make clear on any websites, including the hotels own site).

The room was beautiful better than what we expected so we stayed again... unfortunately our second stay; the double rooms were fully booked; which was what we booked, the lady at the desk apologised about the mix up and was very apologetic. we didnt mind too much about the situation as we just needed a ved to sleep in as we came straight from work and was very tired... We are returning here next time we visit the area :) Jus the mix up on room as we booked a double room n ended up gettin a twin room... was fine about this in the end
