Rhyd Country House Hotel  

Lovely hotel, Nigel, Michelle and family very welcoming. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we were attending a family wedding, but the menu sounded delicious (may be next time). Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent food. Great menu. Well decorated and comfortable room. Great hosts. This is a familly run hotel with beautifully behaved children who help out with service from time to time and are more efficient than many professionals. The chef creates excellent dishes and there is plenty of choice on the menu.

Excellent meal in the evening, friendly staff and once I was in the correct room found the bed very comfortable.

Decor in the restaraunt area is tired and in need of repair and maintenance.

Family run small hotel with very good rooms, excellent service & food.

I liked the welcome I received, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The owner/chef was happy to prepare a sandwich for me after 10pm when I arrived there after working late. I would definitely be happy to stay there again, perhaps on holiday next time.

We were made to feel extremely welcome from the minute we entered the building a real 'family atmosphere'. We booked an evening meal in the resturant and words cannot express how fantastic the food was we have never tasted anything like it. Breakfast was just as delicious served to perfection.

The hotel is an old manor house with many origional features. Or room was large, bright and spotlessly clean. The only off putting thing was the large cracks in the bedroom walls it was such a shame as although we knew it was an old building those cracs took the magic out of the place. Please DO NOT be put off by this it ws spotless and I know it's work in progress at the hotel

Very comfortable memory foam kingsize bed. Excellent food.

We did not have a particularly relaxing stay at the hotel due to it being run by a couple with a young family and baby. They did not appear to have any staff, apart from a young girl helping to waitress in the evening. The family were always around the house, so we felt a little as though we were intruding on a family home rather than staying in a hotel. This would be fine if you are the sort of people who enjoy being around a very family environment. Very small en-suite shower room, no water pressure for the shower which frequently went off and came back on again at scalding temperatures, rather hazardous.

very friendly and attentive owners. Great food in the restaurant. The owners are working hard to keep on top of the lovely old building. they make you feel very much part of the family. Will definitely stay again if in the area.
