Very comfortable room with a fabulous view. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Really good breakfast.
The hotel is very friendly, accommodating and spotless. The food (both dinner and breakfast) is fresh and pretty good. There's a nice bar, a lounge with a TV and you can get rooms with sea-views. It's very close to the centre of town (5-10 minute walk). It's a super little hotel, apart from the problems I experienced.
The bed wasn't very comfortable: it listed to the right, so that I felt like I'd roll off (and nearly did during the night). The room also had no soundproofing. I could hear people's doors slam, people walk past my door, and loud creaks during the night as floorboards cooled. There was no way to turn the too-hot heating off, and I had to keep a window open during the night (in winter); this was ok, but I was woken up by noisy seagulls. The hotel was pretty empty, so the noise wasn't as problematic as it could have been, and the heating was a minor issue that I didn't even try to solve; but together these problems make me unsure if I'd book again.
Comfortable room overlooking the sea.Clean and pleasing decor. The sound of the sea was lovely to hear, especially when going to sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful.Good breakfast and bar facilities.
Nothing -happy with our stay.
Helpful friendly staff. Bright and clean rooms and bar. Excellent breakfast.
The shower cubicle was very cramped
Lovely centrally located hotel with beautiful sea views. Hotel was very welcoming, clean and pleasant. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with good facilities.
Convenient location and very clean accommodation.
No offer to help carry my bag to the 3rd floor. Poor sound proofing between bedrooms, woken at 3.00am by inconsiderate guests. Plentiful but tasteless breakfast.
I had a top floor room and I did an internet speedtest in my room. I had a download of 8 but only an upload of .5. However this is still a lot better than many other hotels. So no problem using the internet. Plenty of options at breakfast and a good range of fruit. Ideal location if your business is in the centre of town, means you can leave your car all day in the hotel car park and not have to bother about finding somewhere to park. Will probably stay here again.
The tv was plugged in to a plug socket above the tv, way above my reach so I had to stand on a chair to reach it. There were plug points below the tv so I don't know why these weren't used. The lack of a lift didn't bother me but some people would find this difficult.
Great breakfast too :-)
Love going to sleep and then waking up with hearing the waves breaking on the shore. Always an excellent breakfast as well.
A superb breakfast topped off a lovely weekend. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Very clean Good sea front views Impressive breakfast
Far exceeded expectations, double room with seafront view, lounge next door and gorgeous bathroom all for £90, can't beat it! Breakfast was wonderful and staff were very accommodating, had a wonderful stay.
Parking a little limited, we managed to time it just right but I know parking in Aberystwyth can be pretty tight!
Loved the view from our first floor room, comfortable beds and breakfast choices were great.
Be lovely to have breakfast served in the ground floor lounge to take in the view.
bedroom very good my
my evening meal very disappointing but was not charged for it when I complained. The staff were very apologetic.
The lovely sea view, and the best chips of our lives at dinner!
Everything. Very friendly, very comfortable.Lovely location.
Bath sheets not big enough for a larger lady!!
All the staff were very helpful and took the time to ensure my stay was just right.
The staff were very welcoming and the food was great. Comfortable beds and warm.
Breakfast was excellent
I couldn't find info about wifi. Not sure if it was available.
Fantastic service, large room, great setting and a lovely stay
the location the service
Shower had lukewarm water rather than hot.
Location, facilities, comfort. The layout of the building gave a very comfortable and welcoming environment-a very "homely" feeling. the staff were friendly and professional.
We were staying there for a family funeral ie three related couples, we ordered our pre-booked meal at about 7.30. A number of other guests were invited into the dining room while we waited, once seated at the table we again had a long wait the meal finally arrived but in all we did not finish and leave the table until after 9.30. I found the waiting time excessive and had almost lost my appetite by the time the food arrived. One of the meals (Welsh lamb) was very badly cooked making it inedible. We did complain about this at the time and were not charged for it. The extremely protracted service sadly marred an otherwise very enjoyable stay.
Location - near the town and beautiful strand We stayed in a front room and the view was wonderful Bay windows with table and comfy chairs to view promenade etc Room facilities - water and biscuits were appreciated Breakfasts were very fresh and plentiful Breakfast staff were very obliging
Bit of pressure to eat in the hotel in the evening - asking us at check in: again at breakfast and then a phone call each evening to check if we were dining that evening Stairs are a bit of a pain and I could see how it would be difficult if mobility problems I can imagine it gets noisey outside at night - no issue for us but I can imagine it being a problem at high season
Friendly and helpful staff on the front desk and at breakfast
The evening meals, paid for separately, were of an exceptional high quality and the breakfasts provided, included in the room rate, were very good value.
