The location is good, close to centre of Southport I think half the hotel is a let to students/young adults. Very noisy all night, didn't get any sleep. Would not recommend unless you are going out all night partying and don't want any sleep

The beds were very comfortable. The manager was very friendly and approachable. The room was warm and had hot running water. The hotel was extremely dated in decoration being a throw back to the 1960 s. Our room had obviously not been decorated since the hotel was built. The carpet had not been vacummed and was full of dust etc. The curtains were hanging off the curtain rails. I had to climb up the window and hook them back on. The bedroom furniture was poor quality and falling apart. The draws were full of previous guests toiletries. The bath mat was minging. There was a kettle in the room with tea and coffee with only one cup. No bedside tables or lamps. The full english breakfast was overcooked and full of fat. We received half a piece of toast each and my partner had no eggs with her breakfast. It was inedible and was left. I would definately not recommend to anyone unless they were on the run and wanted for murder

Not much. The breakfast was ok though didnt take much notice as to eating as they brought out my cooked breakfast while I was eating my cereal and wouldnt make a new breakfast. The room was so tiny, even though I had a single bed, there was no wardrobe or bedside cabinet, I had to hang my clothes in the smallest shower I had ever seen. I asked if there was a bigger room and was told no, but at the end of the stay I was told I could have had a different room. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

Central Complained 5 times that i was freezing - 4.5 hours later heating came on. Manager didnt know how to switch it on. Tiny box room. Shower too hot to use and couldntbe altered. Tv too low down to watch. Room on a slant so when in bed head was lower than feet. Breakfast not cooked properly. Orange juice empty - run out. Much more to say but not enough space!!

The breakfast was lovely! I know I only booked a single room but it was absolutely minute. No storage space for clothes, and a very basic uncomfortable bed

The manager greeted us very warmly, was so friendly and helpful and gives the place a lot of character. The location was close to shops, restaurants, bars, the beach and the cinema. It was a great cap off to our stay in Southport. Ideal launchpad location-wise.

The staff were very friendly and polite. The linen was clean. No toilet roll in the wc. Room was very small. No spoon to stir your morning cup of tea. Radiator was very noisy. The room was extremely sparse and unwelcoming.

It was basic, but clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. I didn't come down for breakfast, but my friends did and they said parts of the cooked breakfast were cold and they had to send it back twice.

The breakfast was of good quality and good variety, just not enough of it (full english wise). Not in the best area- apeared to be in the Polish district of Southport! The drains were awful! We couldnt have our window open as whenever one of the neighbouring guests used their ensuite, it caused an dearful stench to eminate into our room! Not good at all! The room was also a little on the small side and very basic (no wardrobe- just a hanging rail), with a tiny ensuite built into the corner.
