Location, wi fi, staff
Couldn't find hotel while walking had to get cab and we weren't too far away, maybe directions could be better
Gorgeous hotel and in walking distance of Liverpool one!
Service & location excellent room really really comfortable beds and very clean
Cannot fault hotel
The decor was very nice and classy and the hotel rooms were comfortable. The reception staff and bar staff are very polite and friendly. And the hotel housekeepers work very hard. The location is spot on and I would return if I didn't have a problem with the night security.
I understand the hotel is dated but the damp needs sorting also you could hear other guests using the loo and showers. The sound of flushing toilets awoke me many times in the night. I was enjoying my stay until a drunk hotel guest couldn't get into the apartment hallway, they proceeded to kick and bang at the door for 10 minutes which awoke myself, I then decided to call reception as to which they sent up security to deal with the problem. He seemed to be locked out and I then received a call back from reception asking if I would unlock the corridoor door for him as he couldn't get in. I didn't mind as I would expect the same favour in return if I was locked out. I didn't seem to keen on the idea at first as I was worried what would happen if I did but the lady at reception reassured me there was security with the guest and I would be fine. I kindly let the gentleman & security in but instead of a thank you, I was then BLAMED for the door being locked and told not to do it again, bearing in mind this all was happening at 5am and I had been in my hotel room asleep from 2:30am. I have never felt so insulted in my life, and I did speak to a duty manager during check out and he has said he would speak to the night security and has dearly apologised. I can understand there will be drunk people and abit of noise given the amount of bars and clubs in the area and this didn't concern me at all, but to get abuse from night security for getting out of bed, getting dressed and unlocking a door for a stranger and security deserves a thank you. I was extremely disgusted and upset, and thanks to those particular security staff members, I will not be returning to this hotel.
I liked everything
Couldn't fault it.
Size of rooms & cleanliness
Only one thing wrong - shower head didn't have a holder.
It was quite noisy
the room wasnt the best
Lovely hotel on the outside ! Great location
Poor facilities Dirty rooms Expensive
I liked the room space, the staff where friendly and the cocktails at the bar where lovely
The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was delicious.
Wifi wasnt great in our room and although food wad lovely not a very large choice
The room was incredible
Top of cupboards are disgusting and theres no great view but nothing serious to complain about
We loved our room at The Richmond - such a comfortable bed and great facilities. The staff were really friendly and helpful - we got a room upgrade, not sure why but gratefully received! Will definitely be back!!
The breakfast arrangements weren't great - a small buffet area with a single q for a large restaurant. Lots of waiting for the small dishes to be re-filled and the q was in front of the toaster so you couldn't just get toast without a bit of a tussle! Could easily be improved with some small re-arrangements.
Arrived for a two night stay and was really impressed with the hotel. Location was great, 5 mins walk into town and a £6 taxi ride to Anfield for the match. Very clean, well equipped room and beautifully decorated. Shower was amazing! The staff even left a Birthday card for me in the room on arrival which was a lovely gesture. A fantastic stay in a lovely city, we would definitely return to the Richmond.
My Mum & I really enjoyed staying at the Richmond. It was in a perfect location and the staff were really friendly and helpful, especially when the T.V wouldn't work. They were eager to fix things for us. We were really impressed with our hotel room too, very spacious and well looked after. All the staff at the hotel seemed genuinely interested in what made us come to Liverpool, and wanted to hear how we will be spending our time there, giving us good recommendations.
It was a shame that breakfast wasn't included in our stay, as I felt we had paid enough to stay there. Also one of the taxi drivers who dropped us off at the hotel was quite abrupt and rude, but we can't generalise, I think he was just in a bad mood that day, not at all a reflection on anyone else.
We found location convenient near John Moore's University. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. The whole environment is welcoming.
Noisy room downstairs as we could hear conversations and plumbing in next room.
Food excellent Reception staff very friendly and helpful
Apartment doors slam!
Location everything in walking distance
Easy access to the town and main attractions are a nice walk. The rooms are cosy and nice bar restaurant downstairs, loved central perk cafe opposite too.
The main reason I booked here was for the use of the spa as it was a treat for my boyfriends birthday. The spa was really poor! The sauna wasnt very hot and there were bugs all over the floor, the jacuzzi didn't work, we asked receptionist about jacuzzi she said this was working. The steam room was the only thing that worked, the roof was also in urgent need of repair. Needless to say we didn't stay in the spa long and didn't use the facilities again. We stayed in room 273 and when you entered the room the smell was a bit like hospitals...
Staff were super
Walking across the street to the spa
Location Style of Rooms Modern Great Staff Large TV screen
Nothing much just the rooms being freezing even with the heating A.C on and annoying flashing smoke alarm right above the bed
The staff at the hotel were fabulous. They were very helpful and fun. Breakfast was nice (just needs topping up more frequently). We were allocated two rooms next to each other which was great.
Bed was not comfy.
Staff very helpfull and accommodating
The shower overflows all over the bathroom and there were iron burns on the carpet.
Nice bar to end a good new year, lovely room, with gigantic bed
Nothing was to our dislike
