Excellent location. Near river. Lovely property
location are great, breakfast restaurant is very clean and friendly
some rooms are very small and dark. hot water was not very hot, only have shampoo but not conditioner.
Friendliness of staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. I left some shopping and they looked after it until it could be collected. Enjoyed a swim in the excellent spa.
Process a shame that the pool had to be closed because of a technical problem. This cut short my swim :-( Also the tv could do with an upgrade and the WiFi wasn't available in our room.
When we arrived guest cars were exiting the car park via the entrance, signs were not clear. Friday 5pm is not a good time to arrive by car, 7.30pm the roads are clear!
The location and staff of this Hotel were amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to your every need. The room was adequate for my needs. Is a definate consideration if your thinking of staying in Richmond.
the lovely soft chairs, the old world charm
no lift noisy children in the pool area bacon not cooked fresh it wasa rubbery or hard
Great location, friendly staff, good bathroom
Freezing bathroom, heater didn't work
Staff friendliness, the cleanliness of the hotel, the access to Cedars Health Club and the excellent location. The hotel was very close to Richmond centre, the wonderful Richmond Park and great walks by the River Thames
I was disappointed that there were no vegetarian sausages at breakfast even though they were on the menu
Close enough to station for rugger, lovely classic hotel. Did what we needed.
The customer service was absolutely excellent, I cannot praise them enough. Really made us feel welcome from beginning to end!
We like the hotel and have been going there for many years
A substantial platter of smoked salmon turned out to be two tiny rolls. Also slices of crusty bread turned out to be one small slice of toast, barely toasted. On complaint the management and chef passed on the message through the waiter that they had agreed between themselves that it was adequate.
The bar area .
Excellent hotel with extremely friendly helpful staff in a lovely location, perfect for a relaxing stay with use of spa facilities before heading into London only a short train journey away.
The staff were attentive but very slow, which didn't matter too much to us with time to spare. A nice bar area and pleasant surroundings. I think it would be a good idea to show the rooms to the staff so they have some idea of where they are putting you.
Room 201, we asked to move, as there were brambles covering the window and an old shed outside, not quite good enough. But room 310 was much better ! I felt the staff intended to please and that was nice.
This was an excellent location for the purpose of our trip i.e Rugby Intwernational. The Hotel was clean staff friendly and the bed fantastic. I didn't wake up with a bad back
Not a lot really, I would be very picky if I said other
Nice location Friendly staff Comfortable and inviting.
Had booked a twin room and had a double. Apart from that it was fine.
Reception staff very polite and helpful
View from room poor, brick wall and fire escape door within 2 feet
Location - only good thing going for it
Really uncomfortable pillows Tiny room Took ages to check out
Elegant building and great location at top of the hill. A pleasant stroll into Richmond takes about 15 minutes. Ample parking, pleasant staff and comfortable room.
Rooms , small and tired. Common areas of hotel need upgrading
Location on Richmond hill, lovely vibe and great views, proximity to Richmond park and riverside at Richmond. Lovely eateries and shops in Richmond and regular trains to central London. Loved the seating areas, formal drawing room to sit and relax in at end of the day.Leisure complex was lovely
Breakfast not included but not good value as an add on
wonderful morning spent in Richmond Park, helped by the unusually warm weather
I have stayed here for several years and cannot understand why they haven't invested in decent air conditioning. It spoils what could be an excellent stay because it is noisy and blows directly on to one of the beds which means you have to turn it off at nights and then get too hot spoiling your nights sleep.
Cleanliness Pool Modern Bath
1960s windows/frames difficult to open /close Poor ventilation in Bath Lack of bath robes for pool area
