Score from 527 reviews Very good
The location of the swimming pool as it was outside the hotel and that was not mentioned when I book the hotel
Superior rooms are advertised as "having a balcony" and "having a view of the Thames". The room we were offered had neither and didn't merit a superior tag. They did change us to a room with a Thames view.
Use of leisure facilities
Noise from parties No fridge in-room
The staff were extremely helpful
There was a lot of noise on the Friday and Saturday night with music vibrations and noise of people talking outside whilst smoking. Very irritating. Also we had a balcony and the balcony door was left open all Day and the room was cold when we returned thankfully the laptop was still in the room.
Location - it is close to the "Stoop" The Service in bar was prompt (even though the hotel was very busy due to a wedding) Breakfast is good and the service is excellant
Even though I "upgraded" to a room with a balcony the room was very small. The wine list is limited and expensive.
Staff friendliness and efficiency. Comfort of room. Responsiveness to any request.
Location - just a little way out of the centre of Richmond, rather than town centre
Great beds. Breakfast good. Staff extremely professional. Good atmosphere. Lovely town and great restaurants, bars etc within walking distance. All our clients who went to the rugby thoroughly enjoyed their stay.
Car parking a bit tight.
Quiet, out of hubub of London centre
. The wifi was slow. Business travellers expect free access to high speed internet these days. Richmond Hill Hotel was slow to offer internet at all, and then one has to muck around re-registering every day for a mediocre service. . Small rooms. A double room...hmmm! . While generally quiet, the floors creak and I was woken up one night by someone closing their door. I thought they were breaking into my room!
The breakfast - excellent selection and all good.
Too many stairs and steps, totally useless if even slightly disabled. Supposed "Superior Room" tiny with awful bathroom. Prices hiked this weekend as a Rugby International was on at nearby Twickenham.
LOCATION, HOTEL INTERIOR, SERVICE
HAVING TO PAY TO USE THE CAR PARK AND AT THE PRICE PAID NOT GETTING BREAKFAST INCLUDED
The fact that the staff upgraded us from our 'Superior'...ahem...room to the 'Executive'...ahem ahem...room. The first was atrocious, the latter was acceptable at best.
The hotel has renovated the foyer. All promotion of the hotel features this, so you believe for your money this is what you'll expect...and it's not cheap. But no, as soon as you head upstairs the carpets, room size, furnishing is worse than Premier Inn.
Friendly helpful staff
Carpeted slope in bedroom leading up to bathroom (we were put in room with disabled facility) I slipped on it and thought it was potential hazard. No bath in bathroom despite this being advertised feature of these rooms
The hotel is decent and dinner was very nice. Polite staff. Quiet room.
Cramped 'double' room. 'Double bed' far too small, more like a queen size!
Staff is very helpful. Metro station nearby.family was small but cosy.
Airco/heater was not working fantastic . The remote control of the Tv was out of order
Reasonable menu in both restaurant and bar, with screen for sport available
Not a lot in all honesty. A good hotel in a great location and provided you have the time to book early, very reasonably priced.
Our second stay at the Richmond Hill.Excellent hotel in beautiful location, superb panoramic views across the Thames valley. Plenty of restaurants and good pub food in Richmond and environs. All the usual high street chains and a good few independents, some quite unusual.
The exhorbitant cost of a coffee in the hotel bar, plus 12.5% service charge !!! We didn't bother.
Good TV service and signal Desk in room to work Comfortable Bed
Very expensive and very bad creaking floor boards. Bathroom extractor fan was not working Some noise outside bedroom during the night, but only slight
Location and general areas good
Leaking toilet, hot room with temperamental a/c, generally in need of a little tlc did not feel like a four star hotel in the bedroom. About fifteen min walk to train station.
Spa. I would not have booked this hotel had I been made aware of the ridiculous limitations on under 16's!! access into the spa. They change from one day to the next. Be aware that the changing facilities are very small and as it is a club and not really a hotel spa, it is heaving during children's hours.
Great location to restaurants and shops- wonderful staff - quite cosy
Needed a small fridge in the rooms even if only for medications A bit frugal on the bathroom supplies - no shower cap, no body lotion or moisturiser - no face washers - and just a few single tissues pushed into the tissue box each clean which is not only frugal but unhygienic - towel heater did not work as it had no on off switch (confirmed by staff) and shower was only Luke warm
Nothing. Stained carpet Cold room radiator not on Asked to be moved immediately Second room ..... Noisy radiator Disturbed sleep Tired decor Would not stay at this hotel ever again
All of it Hotel requires refurbishment old and tired Staff require more training
The Richmond Hill Hotel is truly a beautiful hotel in a superb setting. It has been gorgeously refurbished. The staff are very professional and could not be more helpful and the breakfast is wonderful! This hotel has the WOW factor!
Service was exceptional,it really was.An example being,i asked for two wine glasses and a bucket of ice for the room,as I returned through reception,it arrived at my room shortly after I did.
Nothing I can recall.
Quiet neighbourhood but close to town Very good facilities in Richmond nearby Breakfast Polite competent staff
Pool/ health club disappointing- we couldn't use the pool on friday afternoon as it was full of screaming kids having swimming lessons!
