Location, food and drinks, great staff
Comfy bed location
no air con - bedrooms very hot no lift check in at busy bar so slow and noisy
good beds clean linen good shower bathrobe free bottles of water
hotel a bit tired
Location Restaurant Staff Food
Location of the rooms through the restaurant Old tired looking furniture in the rooms No lift to the top floor Expensive room rates
The room had a massive comfy bed Staff were very accommodating
Staff were good - general room decor fine - food good.
Very poor wifi - bath/shower needs a deep clean - facing back alley and interrupted by waste trucks and noisy people.
Location Staff Rooms Restaurant Food Atmosphere
Noise from outside rear of Hotel Secondary Glazing hard to open against curtain pelmet restricting access to open windows for ventilation.
Good location, Lovely hotel, friendly staff, comfy beds, good coffee. I bit pricey, but it's high season. Will happily stay again. Thank you!
The excellent service given by the staff. Location was ideal.
Noise in the bedroom from the street.
Staff were super friendly. Rooms are lovely. Very quiet even though in a restaurant hotel too. Very well decorated and clean.
A bit expensive considering the room rate didnt include breakfast which I thought it did.
Location, location, location
Very basic 4 star but reflected in the price vs other 4 stars in Edinburgh
Excellent staff. Clean but basic room. Great location-very close to tourist attractions.
Access via BUSY bar to the rooms. No lift to rooms. No view from the room. Little storage in the room-small wardrobe and no drawers (might not be a problem for a single person/one night break). Heating on in the rooms in July (although a call to Reception did sort that).
Location, comfort, very helpful and friendly staff
Need to update their wifi system
Good location, near the train station, the old town and Princes St. Very good room and bathroom with iron, iron board, water, hairdryer, tub, minibar
Very noisy in the night as we were in front of a street which seemed to be the rear entrance of pubs (so glass bottles being throw in the bin all the time)
could be doing with a lick of paint
Lovely bathrooms with good toiletries. Comfortable beds. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good central location.
Non-existent wifi - or rather, I could get no wifi at all on my Mac. I could a bit on my iPhone. Apparently, I was not the first with a Mac to have this problem.
We loved the location. Although the hotel is located behind a very busy restaurant, it was very comfortable. The staff is very helpful.
Excellent location and great bar area.
The dining area wasn't the cleanest, or the approach to the bedrooms up an old staircase. Our room was comfortable but very warm. Once we had opened the windows we realised our room was on the back street next to the bins and delivery area!!
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, food excellent. Would recommend.
Location Staff Building in general
N/A liked everything
location great shower not bad breakfast
room very warm no air con
Very helpful staff
Entrance via the bar!!! Very busy and not easy to access the area
It unfortunately backs onto the back streets of other businesses/restaurants so garbage collection is at all times of the night and very disturbing. Also no lift so had to climb stairs with heavy suitcases. Council was also chopping up the road behind the hotel so very noisy. No view - only of back street and buildings.
Very stylish, modern bar and rooms were lovely. Great place. Would stay again.
No residents bar open, they do provide a mini bar but we had met up with friends and wanted to have a drink in the bar.
