The Ring of Bells in North Bovey is an unmissable gem! There are no street lights, no traffic lights, no shops, no noise in the town! Just the 5 bedroom inn : The Ring of Bells - right out of a postcard with its thatched roof, low ceilings, uneven floor and black wooden beams that anyone over 5'9 will crack their head on, a church, graveyard, the village hall, a village green complete with a maypole and several beautiful cottages, all painted snow white, almost all thatched.
The bar in the Ring of Bells has a wonderful selection of nuts and nibbles in jars and you can buy a portion in a dish to nibble with your drinks. They had pistachios, cashews, peanuts - salted and dry roasted, sausages, chocolate eggs and jelly beans and also dog biscuits for your furry friend!
The restaurant serves wonderful food and the staff could not be more friendly or helpful.
The rooms are fabulous and what was a lovely touch was that they had a lovely booklet on local walks around the area.
I want to stay here forever!!
