Room was bit small
Ian the owner is a pleasant person very friendly the food was lovely he could not do enough for us very central for all.
room was small but the B&B is having a complete makeover during winter.
Early check-in time Transport links good - bus at end of road and trams within few yards on promenade Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked and hot. Host offered extra toast and tea. Good location Would stay again
Location staff cleaniness
1) No ensuite - had to walk down corridor. Not ideal with children 2)Breakfast very basic. Kids didn't get much. 3) Internet didn't work in the morning 4) no parking and parking is expensive and hard to find 5) third bed was a camp bed and under the appex so get up quickly and you can bash your head 6) smelt of wet dog
This is the worse place I've ever stayed. The place smelt. It was seriously un clean. No main light in bedroom only 2 lamps, one which was behind a wardrobe! Had to unplug lamp to boil kettle, and had to have kettle and make drinks on a tray on the floor, not good with a child. Mattress was broke and both mattress and pillows had no protectors on, I asked staff for one and he thought I was strange as no one else had ever asked for one! Stains and holes on sheets. Woke up during the night with bed bugs on me. I took pictures to prove, mattress was filthy. I showed staff who said they must of come in the window as I had window open, he then blamed me and said I took them there (including eggs and bedbug feases) I realised the small stains on sheets was blood obviously from other people crushing bedbugs during their sleep. we packed up and left to go to another b&b but decided to stay for breakfast first. The toast arrived cold. And my son was given cordial dilute orange juice! manager said if we stay another night (as we originally booked 2 nights) he would get a bottle of coke for my son the next day, I quickly said why would he want fizzy pop for breakfast! The staff are just clueless. This place should be shut down its disgusting.
Quiet, friendly, cheap.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Very good location, tram stop 100 metres away Good breakfast, friendly staff.
Nice people good breakfast good location
Rooms a bit small
Comfortable clean bed good shower great location landlord very helpful
breakfast very soft mattresses
The staff were friendly
The ceiling had wallpaper either stuck up with drawing pins or peeling off. Window did not close properly so you could feel the cold and wind. Toilet was not secure and moved when you sat down. Mould around shower basin. Dining room ceiling was leaking in. Not only was accommodation poor we were told on arrival that one off the two rooms we had booked had been sold and our family had to be spilt up and 3 off us had to spend the night in a different hotel in another street but we still had to pay for both rooms for both nights even tho it was not our fault
Staff were very friendly and was always willing to help and assist. Was in a good location few mins away from the promenade.
The Rooms needed a refurb very dated decor. A lot of work is needed to get these rooms up to a good standard.
friendly staff, even helped carry my heavy luggage to the top floor of my room. offered room service daily. were given soap, shower gel and hot drink refreshments in bedroom. any problems were sorted immediately. service with a smile.
when asked for an extra sausage and extra bacon on my breakfast, i got told it came as a "standard breakfast". the breakfast served was lovely, couldnt fault however, quantity would not fill a grown man.
The manager was brillent inly downfull was the breakfast and service at breakfast time.
The breakfast was very poor no fresh juice and no one asked what you would like you were just given standard breakfast
It was very quiet and the owner was very friendly..and he upgraded us too x
leaving the building
First thing when walking in the smell of cat urine. Second thing bar no bar?! No bar!! Room 10 Wallpaper held up with drawing pins, bedding creased, shower blew hot and cold with no warning. One minute freezing next minute boiling. Decor out darted. Breakfast room smell of cat urine even stronger. Multi leaks while trying to eat breakfast when raining so bring an umbrella. Breakfast sprayed on bacon, rubber egg, one spoon of beans and half a piece of fried bread. Coffee chickery, fresh orange i dont think so cordial. Member of staff smelt strong of B.O. Both members of staff both wearing the same clothes the next day. Anybody rating there stay here over a 4 obviously lives in a dump. Would never stay or recommend here. Theres cheap and cheerful and then theres just trampy. The best thing i could recommend if your stay here.... Dont bother!!! One Towel shared between two. This places needs a lot of spending before it can become inhabitable. 19th Oct 2014
The staff were exceptionally helpful and made us feel very welcome, would stay again! Excellent value for money!
Location was fine looked ok from outside the room was ok for the price.
The pillows smelt bad I had to rap clothing around them just to get to sleep. The phone rang all night from 3am non stop. When we got up for breakfast we were informed by staff that they couldn't find the manager so there would be no breakfast. We had to walk to McDonald's to get some. When we went back to hotel we saw the manager who looked like he had been drinking all night he gave me a refund for breakfast. We said we wasn't staying another night in these conditions and I wanted a refund for room he said we had to get back in touch with booking company. Will never go there again bad hotel at any price.
I stayed with 2 eight year olds. You get what you pay for. Could not be more welcome. Ian and Jamie totally went out their way to make our stay enjoyable.
I booked budget room with private bathroom would definitely upgrade. Did not like girl's leaving room for bathroom. However was given room next door when people left to have use of bigger one.
Location was good close to promonade
Was very poor quality food was all deep fried ,didn't have a bar sold us cans for £2.50 each.room was very dirty ,shower was a trickle of water toilet flushed it's self all night so got no sleep, beds very uncomfortable kids bunk beds were squeaky every time kids moved other guests were in same position as us
It's a classic - has the authentic feel of Blackpool: lots and lots of goodwill to compensate for the general tackiness.
It's rundown, it's Blackpool!
Good location. Friendly owner. Basic, but had all we needed.
A bit cramped and there was an unpleasant smell which became stronger in the breakfast room.
location was good 200m from sea front , 15 minute walk to the shopping centre and tower the price was fair and what we expected . two nights was just about ok for us. the staff where very helpful .
The place just lacked a womans touch
Was easy to find, nice location, quiet street. Pleasant staff.
Value for money Friendly staff (they bumped us up to a larger family room for no extra charge and were overall very helpful) Location (just around the corner from the promenade) Breakfast (lovely cooked breakfast, with unlimited toast toast and cereal, coffee and tea) Room size (large room size, with TV) Warm and friendly look and feel
Beds were a little creaky
