Nice leisure suite, nice room size. Breakfast was of good quality but a little unorganised (see below) Breakfast on the sunday morning wasnt very well organised. They seem to be busy every weekend, so you'd think they would know how to organise and deliver breakfast efficiently, without constantly running out of everything.

It was the first time that I have stayed at Ringwood Hall and I would definitely go back. The staff were great and the food was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't have time to use the leisure facilities but I am sure that they are also good.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was in good order. Breakfast was good if a bit expensive at £15 but that's about average hotel prices. The room was of a good size and the free WiFi worked well. My room was a fair walk from reception but luckily I didn't have a big bag with me. The bed was quite soft which I am not a fan of.

I was surprised when returning from visiting friends, at just after 10.00pm, to find the Public Bars closed. If unlucky, rooms can be a long way from reception, and the passage can involve going up and down stairs.

Helpful staff. Great pool. Warm white wine, terrible 80s ballads over dinner, couldn't locate hairdryer in any drawers.

The hotel was lovely with beautiful grounds. The room was luxurious, and the bed and pillows were so comfortable. I enjoyed the gym facilities too. Really want to stay there again.

I was not sure of what to expect from the hotel as we were staying as part of a murder, mystery evening. The evening meal was ok, however the breakfast certianly made up for it as it was first class and we were spoilt for choice. The room was beutifull, clean and well equiped. I had a problem with the electric sockets and as s oon as I rang reception there was a knock on the door and it was fixed quickly Realy friendly staff, I recently stayed at a 5 star hotel and the staff were not 1/2 as helpfull and polite.

It is a beautiful old house with extensive grounds that has been turned into a hotel, and they have done a good job of retaining the olde world feel about the place. We stayed in room 217, which in its self was a lovely room, unfortunately it took some getting to. My husband has a slight walking disability, and with no lift it was a maze of long corridors and several flights of stairs both up and down to get to our room, so not so good for the disabled amongst us.

I was made welcome and reception organised water and fresh milk for me - which is very nice. Breakfast - food not great, would have liked offer of something lighter like scrambled egg and Smoked salmon or poached egg. Warren of a place but not badly signed.

Helpful staff, clean & tidy, excellent food, great location and value for money. Its the second time we have stayed, and would recommend it to anyone for a long weekend, although no longer than this because although the peak district is very nice, once you have drove out 4 a couple of days there is very little left to do. The only slight moan was that it said that it was full board and we ended up paying an extra 10 pounds on the last night, this was not properly explained during booking. Everything apart from this was perfect.

I thought the setting was excellent, the hotel is really tastefully decorated and the rooms were excellent, we were very impressed with all the decor. The staff couldn't have been more courteous or helpfull. The breakfast was excellent. The only critisism I had about the hotel was the restaurant, the decor didn't seem to match the rest of the hotel, and the tables and chairs need an update to match the hotel. Also table cloths would look better for a better dining experience, the food in the restaurant was average.

We were impressed with the all British staff, young, polite, and seemed to be enjoying their work. The dinner and breakfast service was quite the most efficient we have seen in a long time. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in returning. The cost of the weekend break was very acceptable and the menu orignal, the food was delicous. But the service remains the most impressive feature. PS.Therefore, we cannot understand the very bad report posted on Trip Advisor, December time, Somebody who stayed 3 days, we can't recognise the hotel!! No complaints. 100% this time. Thank you.

Apert from the beautiful building, great location, good food and competitive rates, I am particularly satisfied with Ringwood Hall due to their response in a moment of crisis. I left my laptop in the hotel and only realized when I was in the airport on my way back to Spain. The receptionist Julie and the rest of the team reacted swiftly to organize collection and shipment of the computer by DHL back to Spain. This is excellent customer service. I would recommend Ringwood Hall to anybody.

The Receptionist was fabulous and the building and rooms superb considering the hotel is only 3*. I asked on checking out why Ringwood Hall is not a 4* as having stayed at plenty of hotels it certainly deserves to be one and was told this was due to not having a lift for access as they are a listed building and one cannot be installed. This seems odd as the hotel is excellent! I think there could be a more interesting menu at dinner as the high standard of the hotel deserves.

Just about everything, it was clear that much effort had been made to decorate for Christmas. The breakfast itself was excellent, however the placement of the toasters adjacent to the breakfast buffet was ridiculous, people were queueing for toast and others could not access the tureens near the toasters.

It was a very good Hotel with excellent facilities. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We were extremely disappointed when we discovered our kettle in the room was not working. We asked the staff on 3 different occasions to exchange this, but they informed us that it was working down at reception. As I am disabled I requied boiled water for my medication I informed them of this but they still said that it was working. Therefore I had to ask a friend in another room for this facility. This I consider not up to your standards.

We were there just for an overnight stay and arrived too late for dinner. But we had a luxury suite, which was excellent and lived up to expectations, room service was prompt (although they could have cut the crusts off the sandwiches!) and breakfast was superb. Overall an excellent place.

“Exactly what a hotel should be. Rooms were clean and well equipped with good quality furniture and accessories. Nothing ostentatious but had everything you would need. Breakfast was excellent and the owner was welcoming and relaxed. We felt he was pleased to see us and interested in our reasons for visiting. We stayed in the area to collect my car from specialist engineers, and we will definitely stay in this hotel again next time we have work done on the car.” Elizabeth, Taffs Well Cardiff |
