A little isolated but worth it
Toilet Toiletries were not satisfactory
Great view from our window and comfortable bed and good shower
Rather tired and worn out furnishings and the bathroom had no toiletries at all and needed redecorating
Location, staff friendly and helpful, free Wi-Fi all areas, decent food.
Food while of good quality was all served only just warm enough - warm the plates! Room cost is quite pricey especially as it doesn't include breakfast.
Wonderful Staff, were so helpful and friendly. Spectacular views of the surrounding area. The evening meal we had was wonderful and good value for money. Likewise the breakfast. Location was easy to find.
Toilet bowl could do with a good clean in our room No. 11. I think our friends in room 12 were of the same opinion.
Location is fantastic. All staff were helpful and responsive to the concerns which I flagged in person and do not need to add here. Good value breakfast with a great choice
Very tired looking bathroom - flooring was peeling away, the walls need washing as speckled on none tiled areas. Blinds or nets needed for rooms overlooking the garden (this was second floor) as can be seen due to lone low windows.
View from bedrooms. Evening walks on Cleeve Hill. Large well-equipped room. Convenient bar/restaurant. Excellent good value breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.
Decorations and fittings dated and a bit shabby.
The location was excellent as are the staff, food, cleanliness and atmosphere all round.
The staff (particularly at the front desk) were very forthcoming and helpful. Rooms are a good size with a great view!
The overall state of the hotel is subpar. It is in great need of an update. The bathroom was clean, but the fixtures were very worn. The carpet could do with a deep clean at least. Both of these affect the overall feel of the hotel.
Beautiful position nice restaurant rooms good size
No receptionist on door
Rooms. Food Nice pub and garden Location
Unmanned reception. Pub garden a little too close to room windows
A busy pub and restaurant with excellent food very popular with the locals.
Rooms were clean although the fixtures and fittings are a little tired.
Views Food Comfort
excellent staff Nice hotel in a great position Good food and service
Some furnishing and decor looking tired and in need of up dating
Glorious views, great staff and beautiful flowers
Bedroom & bathroom rather outdated (for £95) & needed some tlc. Such delightful gardens could do with more than one very tatty parasol in such hot weather and had grubby seat cushions
The view from the hotel is spectacular.
We had difficulty finding the hotel even with gps.
Views & Staff were both excellent.
Bedrooms & Bathroom in need of updating, Bathroom was very poorer, strips coming away from the tiles Bath & Toilet Stained. Sunday evening entertainment in the lounge was very loud no chance of sleeping before 11:00 /11:30 if you had young children this would be a problem. We have stayed in many hotels along with B&B's in Cheltenham, this was the lest value for money.
Great place to stay. Rooms were basic but very comfy with wonderful views.
Very nice location and views. Staff very polite and helpful.
Fabulous location with stunning view. Delicious breakfast.
The location and the splendid view over the rolling Cotswold countryside and distant villages
The traffic noise sitting in the beer garden is unavoidable
The hotel is situated on the Cleve Hill, there is a nice view on English Cotswolds.Very friendly staff. Perfect meal. Rooms are clean, standard.
The staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing too much trouble. We had a lovely evening meal there and the views there are stunning!
I booked two rooms and one of them smelled quite strongly of cigarette smoke even though smoking is not allowed in the rooms!
Location of hotel. Decor. Friendliness of staff. Pity about the music
Friday evening music night. Music was so loud that my party had to leave the bar area. We were just unable to hold any conversation. Had to retreat to another part of the hotel. My wife and I decided to retire to our room (No 16) at 10.30pm to get some sleep. This was impossible as the music could still be heard, quite loud in our room until 11.35pm.
Hotellocation breakfast evening menu Great staff
live music on Sunday night
