A Little gem in the middle of everywhere. A beautiful setting, very relaxing and very much accessible to a lot of places of interest. And the staff were all exttremely helpful and pleasant. It was tidy but tired and a bit tatty.... In need of a good housekeeper, and a gardener to make the best of all the hotel and grounds. Although it was not dirty...just a few little things were noticed. |

It was nice just to be able to go across the court yard after the function that I attended and to not to have to worry about how to get home. Yes, the hotel from the outside looks very grand, but on the inside it is a very different matter. There was water damage everywhere, ceilings were hanging down and it looked at though it had not been decorated in years. Also the luxary suit had definately seen betters days, as there was sweat stains on the head boards, broken window blinds and even loose taps !!!. |

Excellent value for money! Good food, lovely suite and the barman was very helpful in going out of his way to find out details for us of a place we wanted to visit. The shower cubicle was poorly maintained |

Staff lovely. Room nice. It stated it was in 17 acres so we came to walk. we had walked the grounds in ten minutes. The pool was very small and it was very humid in there. Certain areas smelt very unpleasant such as the bar area in the hall. |

The beautiful main building - exterior and interior style, ambience and friendliness of staff. Spacious room in executive "wing". Fact that there is now a small gym with aerobics equipment. Would suggest removing a few aerobic machines from the gym and replacing with a bench and some free weights. |

My friend and I had booked two separate suites. The suites were roomy and very clean. The fact that the suites are positioned away from the main house meant that the accomodation was quiet. This was something i'd particularly desired as the idea of the short stay was to feel pampered and rested without disturbance. The grounds are one of natural beauty. The hotel gave the impression that they were short staffed from the onset. We hung around in reception for about 6/8 minutes before being acknowledged. We had to look for staff to serve us food later on.The therapists were a bit off-hand and didn't seem to know the full range of therapies advertised in their brochure.Having said, there was very limited therapy time available. |

Comfortable beds, good quality breakfast, warm welcome (Lee) and clean pool and rooms (we had two, as there were 4 of us). On booking, we checked that we would have full free access to the leisure facilities - which was a key reason for choosing this hotel. This was confirmed before we booked (through the Yell agent ringing the hotel), but when we turned up at the pool reception, we were told unprofessionally and uncompassinately by the receptionist there that children were not allowed in the pool until 5pm. |
