Spa facilities and staff very friendly. Staff in the hotel also very friendly. Excellent breakfast! Both service and choice. Room was small. There was no electric plug near the mirror for a hair drier. The grounds could be fabulous with a little TLC.it was sad to see them so neglected. Sofas in the lounge were not comfortable.

The pool, sauna, hottub, bathroom, local pub and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The area and buildings are beautiful. We did expect abit of a nicer room saying it was meant to be a deluxe suite but still happy enough with it.Thank you When we arrived we had trouble with working the telivision which took a while to mend. The breakfast was nice although portions were alittle small on the cooked breakfast. There was a wedding taking place one night and was very noisey above our bedroom with someone walking around. We didnt have a great night sleep one night but we still enjoyed our stay.Thank you

Good sized room. Nice grounds and setting. Relaxed atmosphere. In need of modernisation, rooms very dated. General feeling that things were a bit dirty. Headboards, bathroom etc'.

Spa We stayed At risley for two nights from the 27 th may and words cannot describe how disappointed my wife and I was the photos on the web site do not reflect how much the decay and tiredness there is within the hotel we asked for a double room the first we was given was two single beds pushed together not fastened just pushed the head boards was not even fastened to the bed and that was a deluxe room on complaining we was moved to a superior room although the bed was better the room condition was tired and not clean with a further complaint to reception we was told the room would be cleaned and on our return from the (spa if you can call it that ) the bed had been made but the room was still not clean and the bathroom still dirty there was paper on the floor near the window and although the room was supposed to be cleaned everyday the same paper was there when we left we was promised fresh bottled water everyday and we never got any every time we went to the bar we had to wait on average ten mins for a staff member to turn up and then not be able to do basic drinks the breakfast was really awful long wait to be served and when the breakfast did arrive it was really not worth eating overall our stay what was for our first wedding anniversary was really a great letdown by the hotel and all members of staff there we will never return or recommend this place to anybody very very disappointed

My husband and I stayed at Risley Haall Hotel for 2 nights as Wedding guests. Our room was a 'Wow'.. the food was excellent, staff were helpful, pleasant and polite - and above all, the hotel was the perfect venue for the occasion.

The layout of the suite. The bathroom and power shower. The quality of the food in the restaurant. When I booked, the "internet guide" led me to believe the suite had a four poster bed. We were a bit disappointed to find it had not.(Not enough to make a fuss though). It quickly became obvious that quite a few of the staff were "new", this led to confusion on our first evening when we arrived for our reserved table 5 minutes before our booking, but our order was not taken till 40 minutes after our booked time, and we were the only people in the restaurant till 35 minutes after we were seated.

Location Tired hotel that needs investment. Poor quality ingredients at breakfast. Garden needs attention. Bins staff smoking area in garden on show. Had to ask at breakfast for everything lack of customer service. Would not stay again or recommend. Cleanliness in room poor. Attention to detail poor. Only one bedside lamp, dirty glasses, light bulbs out. Summed up as lacking investment and care

Familiar surroundings as we got married there 12 months Very disappointed at how 'tired' everywhere is. We had to change suite as the first one smelt terribly of cigarettes. He second suite was bigger but both desperately need decorating and upgrading. Things such as dirty carpets, bath panels that need replacing, toilet handles that are loose. The spa area was equally tired and not reflective of the pictures shown in the promotional leaflets.

The A La Cart menu was excellent. The food was presented beautifully and was cooked to perfection. Breakfast was also lovely .. we enjoyed the spacious rooms. The hotel settings are a delight. All the staff were very friendly and also very helpful.. our cocktail bar tender was entertaining. attention to detail in our room. . Bathroom floor had streak marks from mopping down and the ledge behind the wash basins wasn't clean. Some TLC required I the room/suite we stayed in. I didn't enjoy bring woken by the delivery vehicle....but thats not the hotels fault to be fair.

very friendly staff, convenient location for visiting this area. this hotel would have been lovely some time ago, but it (our room 2), was very dated. it needs to lose the heavy curtains and furnishings. In my opinion people much prefer a clean slick style nowadays. the spa area also looked tired.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool spa area seemed nice although we didn't get the opportunity to use it. The room was dated and badly in need of decoration. There were dead insects and flies on the bathroom windowsill. The shower desperately needs de-scaling, leading myself to have to rinse my hair over the bath which made my bad neck feel worse. The heavy metal temperature control knob came off as I went to turn it which I fear may have broken a toe had it fallen on one. The hall where the suites were housed was covered in leaves, old confetti and glass, needed a good sweep and hose down, not a great first impression as you head towards your room. Didn't want to risk the breakfast which we paid for as I dread to think how dirty the kitchen is if that's how dirty the public areas are. The grounds need a bit of TLC.
