Stayed here watching my Girlfriend's dance show at CentreParcs. I was really impressed! The owners were lovely, Irene even made us a pot of tea when we got in past 11pm! The room was luxurious, immaculate and a pleasure to stay in, and these qualities extend to the rest of the B&B. The room had a nice view of the river, and was kitted out with a flatscreen TV, and proper bottles of shampoo and shower gel in the en suite, not the cheap ones usually provided. Would highly recommend River Garth.
There's nothing not to like!
Great hosting !
The warm welcome and a lovely cup of tea and biscuits. The room was beautiful great bed and bathroom and so clean. Irene is so attentive and caring nothing is to much trouble. She really made us feel at home. The house is beautiful and sits next to the river. We had a balcony out of the room sadly we could not sit outside as it's rather cold at this time of year, but I can imagine it would be great in the summer time to sit and relax. We had a and good nights sleep. Breakfast was great amazing choice fruit, cereals, bacon, eggs etc. Irene is an amazing host so pleased to have met both her and Brian. I would recommend River Garth to anyone. You will love it. Hope to return again. Thanks Irene & Brian.
What a wonderful and attentive couple Irene and Brian are! Nothing was too much for them to do to make our stay anything else but enjoyable. The room was bright and airy with french doors opening onto a veranda with table and chairs overlooking the river and its famous bridge. We had a lovely big and comfy bed and a beautifully finished en-suite bathroom The breakfast was plentiful and of high quality. Thanks Irene and Brian. You are wonderful hosts in a wonderful home!
The warm hospitality and the attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble
My husband and I were travelling to Scotland for a 6 day trip that included a 2 day pass to the Ryder Cup golf event at Gleneagles. It was a long drive of 500 miles, so we decided to stop off at River Garth guest house overnight. We are soooooo glad that we did! We set off for Scotland very well rested and replenished indeed! Thanks Irene and Brian. You are wonderful hosts in a wonderful home!
Nothing to dislike!
Irene was very helpful and chatty, the room was lovely especially the bathroom!, views were exceptional and it was peaceful. We were recommended where to eat, and had a taxi booked for us. Also the tea we got on arrival was a really nice touch.
Only thing we would change, was tables for breakfast in the morning, having to share with other people and making conversation can be awkward.
Loved this place from the first few minutes we were there. Nothing was too much trouble.
Irene is very friendly and helpful wanting to please everyone. Extremely clean and spacious room. Breakfast is cooked to your liking and at the time that suits. Deserves its rating.
Nothing was too much trouble. Well deserved AA award.
Helpful and friendly staff, quiet, lovely grounds, great location, fab breakfast.
Nothing- as close to perfect as it gets
The attentiveness of our hostess together with her fun loving nature made us feel at home immediately we arrived. The room was superbly decorated with a view over the river. Wonderful and we will be back to sample more.
Good breakfast, beds very comfortable and Irene goes out of her way to make your staff a good one.
Everything. Standout facilities. Would recommend this accommodation to all. We were to feel most welcome starting with tea and biscuits on the balcony looking out onto the river. Breakfast superb with so much choice. Bed extra comfortable,
What's not to like! Superb accommodation.
Irene was a perfect hostess. Our room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.
Every aspect of our stay was superb. High quality accommodation; excellent food, immaculate rooms and views. Friendly, welcoming owner.
A home you would like to call your own.
Hotel was stuning and owners very friendly and welcoming, would recommend and visit again.
Excellent relaxing stay. Couldn't of asked for a more helpful and friendly couple
Beautiful balcony room with stunning views over the river. Exceptionally clean property where the attention to detail was second to none. Would highly recommend, no wonder it is voted one of the most friendly B&B's we felt well looked after and nothing was a problem. Top marks we will happily stay again. Also what a fantastic breakfast.
There was the best guest house we stayed at during our UK trip ! Irene was so kind and welcoming. Before our arrival, she gave us by email good advises on things to see around Windermere. She received us in her living room with tea and cookies. Amazing breakfast. We definitely recommand this place.
A very friendly owner who looked after us very well during our brief stay. Breakfast was excellent, just the ticket for two hungry blokes undertaking the C2C Cycle Challenge. Highly recommend this guest house.
The welcome, the food, the facilities and the company!
Property was clean and nicely laid out. Owners were very friendly and helpful as were our fellow guests. Would recommend River Garth for either a short stay or longer holiday.
