owner very friendly, our room was very nice.
our room was a bit cold.
Location, Breakfast, People.
Owners Alex and Ann were the most helpful people. Friendly and informative. Nothing too much trouble. Recommend without reservation.
Excellent location breakfast was lovely with lots of locally sourced or home made products. Owners very friendly would stay again. Home made flapjack in the room was very nice
This small and homely B&B is one of the best we've stayed in - in years. The hosts were polite, friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here...plus the beautiful village of Malham
Hospitality. Excellent breakfast. Ideal for walkers. Free Flask filling service. Packed lunch available. Free wifi. Location. Drying room available. Heater, fan, hot water bottle and hair dryer in room.
Location was excellent in the centre of Malham. We felt everything at River House was second-to-none. Being of the older generation we found the narrow roads had adequate passing and parking places enabling one to take in the beautiful scenery.Within easy reach of Settle where we were able to get the train on the very scenic route to Carlisle. The weather was extremely kind to us.
Almost everything, esp very friendly , generally smiley gentleman working there.
Poor pillows and not enough of them. It seemed a strange oversight .
Spacious comfortable room. Friendly owners.
Difficulty in opening window and wedging it open - sash cord broken
Great comfy beds, warm welcome, and tasty vegetarian breakfast (meat option also available).
Room perhaps a little cosy but this reflects the fact that it is an old house in the middle of a national park.
Very relaxing stay and enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts and homemade biscuits in the room.
The friendliness and homeliness of the proprietors Alex and Ann Walter (Haslemere)
Lovely people, very clean, excellent breakfast.
little to do at night in the area
The lovely breakfasts and the home cooked biscuits and cake placed in our room each day. Our hosts Alex and Ann were wonderful and helped with maps and walks. And the beautiful B&B!
the location, excellent cooked food homemade snacks in bedroom VERY comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, good thick curtains Parking Friendly owners
Being very picky here.......perhaps decor/ornaments/pictures/furniture rather confused. Just not all my taste................would re-visit at the drop of a hat though. Its a personal thing
Fantastic location. The room was clean and comfortable. The owners were really welcoming and looked after us. We were doing the three peaks after our first night at River House and had an early start so they organised a continental breakfast and brought it to our room the night before which was fab. There were lovely home made biscuits in the room on arrival, flapjacks after our walk and the full English breakfast we had after our second night there was gorgeous. Lovely place. We're already planning a trip back!
Friendly hosts. Beautiful location. Home baking in rooms.
Breakfast in silence. Some back ground music would help the feeling that everyone was listening to you
Plenty of hot water. Comfy bed Lovely biscuits tasty sauce at breakfast. Friendly couple
Perhaps the dimensions of the bedroom being a tad confined. However many rooms are similar to this one also in the same price range
Good poached eggs! Good location for walking.
Revolting vegetarian sausages. We paid for a 3 star (or was it 5?) hotel but the feel is much more of a B&B and I feel that it was too expensive for the facilities. The decor really needs updating and it feels old fashioned and dated.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing information and books on the walks we wanted to take. The room was adorable and the tea and electric kettle in the room was a much-appreciated touch! Breakfast was freshly cooked. Shower was great.
Very welcoming, we had a great time.
Very friendly and welcoming greeting by the owners and very down to earth and friendly and helpful throughout our two night stay. Breakfast was an excellent start to a days hiking in the dales.
The rain!! Seriously, their was nothing not to like.
Location was great and the excellent cooked breakfast was great.
The room was a bit old fashioned and had wall paper coming away from the walls. Room was cold as was the dinning area in the morning.
The hosts were delightful - kind, considerate and informative.
Excellent breakfast, lovely countryside.
