Everything. Easy to book, find. Good value. Excellent breakfast, lovely room, pleasant and helpful staff.
Having to leave and come home
All staff were excellent, although big party in restaurant food to myself and other customers arrived hot and in time. The car park, gardens were immaculately kept
Unable to turn radiator down but could open a window to compensate and cool room down.
Lovely room super shower room good decor. Good dinner at night for Christmas.
We arrived at noon and received the warmest of welcomes from the daytime receptionist. She opened the bar for us as we waited to leave at 1pm for the Tranmere FA Cup tie. She also called a taxi for us which arrived promptly. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant and again had a friendly welcome and attentive service from the lady behind the bar. Our dinner order was taken a little brusquely by the general manger but this small sour note was made up for by the professional and warm service by the waiters. The rack of lamb was to die for. Perfectly cooked at medium rare. From the good wine list we chose the Rioja Reserve. It did not disappoint. Our room (23) was well decorated but very small. In the bathroom there was no shelf to place toilet bag so that ended up on the floor. Fabulous, large walk in shower with large powerful shower head. A Joy! However no small shelf in shower to place shampoo or soap so again it ended up on the floor and was slightly dangerous to keep bending down to pick them up etc. Our departure was handled by the general manager who this time was friendly and accommodating. We were charged £80 for the room, which was perfectly reasonable but breakfast (which we did not have) at £12.95 each makes this, on my judgement, an expensive stay for the area. Would we go back? Yes...but would want a different room. (23 also faces onto the Reception Entrance and in the morning you will be woken by guests banging doors and talking as they are leaving)
All is good
Everything was excellent...the welcome was great..soooo friendly....loved the touches in the room....bottled water..apple...crisps...kitkat etc...great for the morning after...very..very comfy bed....thank you xxx
the overall appearance of the hotel was very good The reception when we arrived was very good Breakfast good value and service excellent
Loved the friendliness of the people, nothing was too much trouble. Only had breakfast there but that was excellent. Good location if you got the bus into Liverpool, only a 10 minute walk to the stop. Highly recommend this Hotel and will definately be stopping there again!
We needed to check in early to get changed for a party. They warned us the room wouldn't be ready but we were given clean towels, could get changed and leave our stuff in the room. All without any hassle or extra charge. Just what we needed. Thanks.
Loose door lock.
Another week at the riverhill while on buisness. Cannot fault it. Makes being away from home bearable.
Friendly and professional staff Excellent food Room hospitality one of the best I have ever seen Plenty of parking Will be staying again and recommending to others.
Manager and staff cannot do enough for you. The evening meal and breakfast was the best we have had in a long time.
The hotel was conveniently located for us, just a 5 minute walk from a function we were attending. The room was very spacious, well equipped and furnished to a high standard. The bathroom was huge with a lovely big bath and was spotlessly clean. Nice bedding, towels & toiletries.
The staff we dealt with on arrival and on check out were efficient but lacked warmth.
Great location; easy to find; quiet; very clean; excellent beds; good size rooms; just excellent
There was nothing you could dislike
Stayed here many times, nice and comfortable, friendly staff, good location for me.
Nothing all is good
Excellent meal and very good host.
Really friendly staff and excellent check in experience including the very useful map with detail of how to walk in to town etc. Really nice bathroom well decorated & very clean. Nice breakfast with good options. The hotel had a really nice friendly and homely feel to it as soon as you walked in
Room was a little cramped due to containing a single bed as well as the four poster. As a result it was difficult to get the chair at the dressing table out without colliding with the bed. This could be easily solved by replacing the chair with a stool. Shower was under powered to.
Loved the spacious room, seating area, complimentary gifts and tea tray, comfy bed, fluffy towels, decor - all gorgeous in a beautifully warm room with properly opening windows.
Toilet flush was odd - needed replacing I think! And I couldn't get my shower to run cold for my final rinse. Tiny things
Quiet location. Nice rooms. Good evening meal.
Limited breakfast buffet selection, and only white toast offered.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed
Staff were very friendly. The hotel was situated in a quiet location with nice gardens to sit out in. The beds were really comfy.
The trap dripped (although not a massive problem).
I arrived early, the staff made me comfortable and provided a free cup of coffee while they prepared my room. Because I am disabled they managed to get me into a ground floor room. Excellent service and always with a smile. Would use again if in that area.
Everything was good. I have stayed at three star hotels in South London that come nowhere near the quality of this hotel. Truly great value for money.
Locality to ferries (via taxi) and port sunlight (via car) Visiting the Wirral in general
Cannot think of anything
Excellent food Convenient for the Ferry to Belfast
This hotel is lovely, the restaurant and food is fabulous, the service is impeccable, a must for lovers of fine dining. The free wifi was great. Also the rooms were cleaned daily and chocolates, biscuits and water were stocked up for us daily, would highly recommend this hotel.
