Excellent hotel. Staff very courteous, friendly and helpful. Superb room, spacious and well-presented, clean and modern, with all facilities required for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Although we didn't use the restaurant, it looked very impressive, with a decent selection of dishes on the menu. I would definitely stay here again when in the area, and would recommend it to family and friends.

Within walking distance of Prutton Park. Food was excellent. First class room which provided everything needed for an overnight stay. The restaurant was very full. Need to book ahead if you want a particular time. We had to eat at 6pm but that was acceptable to us.

We enjoyed our Liverpool city break knowing the we had a comfortable friendly hotel to come back to each evening. The food and staff couldn't be faulted. Our only hiccup was the room (Number 9) was incedibly hot although there was a fan provided because of the noise from the kitchen extractor fan we couldn't leave the window open. Also there was a drip from the toilet cistern. Otherwise well done we felt we had quality and value for money.

Bedroom had all facilities including trouser press/ironing, hair dryer and electric fan. Usual tea/coffee making and added extra of fruit crisps and choclate biscuits with bottle water. A safe is also available within the room. The meals are of a very high standard especially the dinners. Staff very helpful, pleasant and polite.

It was an ideal location for our needs and the staff were friendly and the rooms adequate. I didn't like the fact that local knowledge wasn't a priority with the reception staff.

We have always found the amenities at the hotel very good and the staff very pleasant and helpful. We like the nice touches such as the butter not being in plastic containers, and all the meals very good. We thought some tissues in the bedroom would have been very welcome and a cotton sheet between us and the duvet more than desirable When I booked our room on the internet I had ocassion to ring on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to book a table for 4 then 6 and finally 7. Each time I rang I requested if it was possible to have access to our room as we were travelling direct from Norfolk and would arrive about 12.30 pm and would like to change and wash before our luncheon party. Althiugh access to rooms was not available till 14.00 hours. I also requested each time that we would like a back bedroom and was assured that was already in hand.We arrived at 13.00 hours and was told a room was not available so we had to go into luncheon unwashed and unchanged, About 18.00 hours our guests departed and we asked for our room key and was informed our luggage was already in the room. Our room turned out to be right in the front of the hotel and no luggage had been taken up to the room.We were not best pleased and felt let down by so many staff members. Also the toilet seat would not stay up and slid all over the place when sat on. Not a a good start to our stay. We did not like drinking out of mugs at breakfast time and felt it was not in keeping with the standards of the hotel.

What a find!!! Considering The Riverhill Hotel was situated in the city centre, it felt like I was staying in a beautiful and traditional country hotel. I cannot fault anything with my stay. My room was absolutely gorgeous, almost a suite. The service was fantastic from the bar and restaurant staff to reception. I will definitely be staying at the Riverhill Hotel next time I am in the area!!

Comfortable family hotel with warm and welcoming Staff. Excellent views from rooms at front of hotel but quiet, despite proximity of the main road. Facilities beginning to be slightly dated-- no lift, for instance. Charging extra for breakfast seems unnecessary.
