Once a 15th century traveler's inn, the White Hart has been converted to a modern, comfortable inn with character and many period features.
Score from 143 reviews Very good
Rob and Morna trust you to use their lovely home as if it were your own. Walking distance from the village pub. Really good food pubs within a few miles. Great for a short break close to beautiful Salisbury.
Couldn't fault it
The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The property is beautiful and in a great location. The price was very reasonable. We would definitely recommend a stay here and we would come back again.
The bed was a little soft.
The owners were very helpful and polite. The quality of the breakfast was good.
I'm in 2 minds about the DIY breakfast and the request for payment through the owners other business.
Everything. The emphasis was on our comfort. Our room was the best I've ever stayed in, the breakfast was plentiful and varied. We had a 2 year old with us and he was entertained by the owner at breakfast time. The whole experience was lovely and relaxing, we will return again.
The weather was wet. Nothing the B&B could do about that.
It was nice quiet n relaxed
The room was wonderful, specifically asked for a bath (I have a bad back) and what a bath it was I'm 6ft5 and it's the best bath I've had, the owners were great, I normally avoid B+b's/ guesthouses as I feel awkward in other people's homes....one of the best stays I've had.
Nothing worth mentioning, great stay
Friendly hosts Lovely house Excellent location between Salisbury and the New Forest
I expected a room and got a mansion. Tidy, clean, wonderful furniture, both old and new.
Perhaps a much larger Key fob, as my husband put it in his pocket and bought it home ? Could someone leave some instructions as to how the T.V. works. Could not get the hang of it at all. He was not happy with the glass door to the bathroom ?

Host should have explained that the room would not be made up during our three night stay.
loved everything. we have a 3 yr old and a 19 month old and morna and rob were so good with them and very friendly to us. we had the family suite and it was lovely. they greeted us on arrival and helped.with our luggage. showed us to our room and recommended somewhere to eat. clean, friendly, good value b&b. half an hour from peppa.pig world which was fine as our two slept on the way there which meant they were happy to have dinner. def recommend this one whether its a couple.or family with any age children. thanks morna and rob.
only thing was the cot. too small for our boy but then our son is long for his age. he slept in with us so no problems really.
The room was beautiful, comfortable and roomy. The owners were very helpful and polite.
The room was clean and spacious and the property itself is lovely. The owners were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to make sure that we enjoyed our stay.........thanks Rob & Morna!
No negatives at all!
great setting in its own grounds with very comfortable accommodation and friendly owners. I would recommend this location and will stay again
not the easiest place to find in the dark! otherwise there is not anything i did not like
Helpful and informative owners. Good parking
Room not serviced each day
The setting was beautiful and the owners are so friendly and welcoming
Spacious and luxurious accommodation with separate lounge area and sleeping area for a child. Bathroom was beautiful with big indulgent slipper bath and separate double shower.
Fully clear-glazed door to bathroom from bedroom so no privacy in the bathroom. Also we couldn't get the wifi to work.
Rob the host could not have been more helpful. We ate at his pub, and had a great meal. The room had every comfort and a delightful mix of antiques and tasteful modern furniture.
There was nothing not to like, although the busy road you turn in from to the drive took a bit of getting used to.
All of it !!!
Went for a night as we took our 3 year old to Peppa Pig world. The stay was outstanding. Couldn't fault a thing
The Rivermead Hotel was very personal and friendly. The owners couldnt do enough to make you comfortable. They even phoned the pub so that when we arrived with our two small children everything was set up and ready to go for us. The room was big and seperated so the kids could sleep and we could still watch tv without disturbing them. Would definitely go again.
The location out of towns, but close and with easy access to Salisbury, the New Forest and the south coast made it ideal peaceful retreat. The continental breakfast was excellent and the hosts could not be more helpful. Worth visiting their pub in the village for an evening meal.
There was nothing to dislike about this modern home.
We had the junior room as we took our toddler daughter, who unfortunately was ill during our visit, our lovely hosts arranged medical assistance (with their own doctor) and my daughter was seen within two hours. We also sort advise on places to visit, such as a day trip to the isle of white, which our hosts were only to happy to help us with. Our room was amazing, very good value for money, our hosts were knowledgeable, compassionate and very easy to talk with. Breakfast was help yourself, with lots to choose from from cearels, breads and ham & cheese. We also had two meals in our hosts pub, which we also cannot fault.
Very nice people and good value for money.
Location, helpful owner
The breakfast was only a self-serve continental - fine but self-serve meaning you had to help yourself from the packet in the fridge!
It says breakfast was included but on arrival we were informed that breakfast was continental and you served yourself and made your own tea e.t.c.not what we were expecting.
