The Riverside Hotel  

Good basic room.

Staff, food,cleanliness were excellent.

The downstairs part of the hotel was fine, however, our room was in need of renovation. The flat roof structure of the building is aging and 'tired'. The arm chair was broken with evidence of many earlier repairs. The TV kept losing the signal. This was reported to staff and they responded by reducing the food bill. Would use the bar or restaurant again but not stay there.

The Riverside staff made me feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the room was very comfortable and clean

Breakfast was ok.

Room was poorly decorated, unwelcoming, uncomfortable, had not been cleaned properly, bathroom was dirty and in desperate need of updating. The bathroom door was rotten. More importantly there were serious health and safety concerns in the room ie kettle was perched on a cracked plastic shelf which could easily break / slip off. To make matters worse it was perched over the television! An accident waiting to happen. I was in room 3.

The staff were very helpfully and friendly, the roo was clean and tidy and well laid out. I ate in the restaurant and the food was superb.

Friendly staff and good service

The staff were welcoming and helpful...we had to store bicycles, and it was no problem. The room was fine.

It was an OK place to stay.

The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The whole time we were there was a lovely experience and I would recommend the restaurant for fresh food cooked beautifully at a very reasonable price. We would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it without hesitation.

The staff were very accommodating.

Bathroom was very small (shower especially cramped) and a bit mouldy.

There was a confusion with my booking, but the staff bent over backwards to sort out the problem and ensure my comfort. Nice location, good value for money.

The friendliness of the staff to customers, but also the fact that the staff did genuinely seem to enjoy working together. It gave the hotel a friendly and relaxed feel.

The bathroom we had smelt of mould and needed a revamp. Also I didn't think it was good value for money and breakfast was not included in the price.

The service at this hotel was excellent, from the manageress to the waiters/waitresses & bar staff, extremely friendly & nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were basic but very clean with power showers that were very invigorating to say the least. We were a party of five on a long weekend golfing trip and the standard was just right for this type of holiday. The breakfasts & evening meals were very good & good value, we ate at the hotel two out of the three nights. Would definitely come again.
