The attentiveness of the (duty manager?) on our first evening, she seemed to be running around doing everything. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant. Slightly overpriced for the accommodation. Couldn't sleep on the Saturday night because of noise from the (smokers?) at the back of the hotel.

The friendliness of the staff, the convenience to the town, the facilities in the room were good. I feel that the breakfast should be included in the cost of the rooms.

Breakfast was ok. Room was poorly decorated, unwelcoming, uncomfortable, had not been cleaned properly, bathroom was dirty and in desperate need of updating. The bathroom door was rotten. More importantly there were serious health and safety concerns in the room ie kettle was perched on a cracked plastic shelf which could easily break / slip off. To make matters worse it was perched over the television! An accident waiting to happen. I was in room 3.

The Riverside Hotel is a well located, clean and comfortable hotel particularly at its price. The staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful throughout the stay. The only real issue we had during our stay was the overall temperature of the room during the night. We both found it to be uncomfortably hot, especially for a cold October night, though the heating wasn't on in the room so it's hard to say what could be done about this. I also appreciate that temperature is largely down to personal opinion, so although we didn't like this aspect it can hardly be levelled at the hotel as something they are necessarily doing wrong!

Room was beautifully decorated. Staff were polite and informative. Rally good location. Bathroom could do with updating and even thought we followed instructions involving the shower and steam we still managed to set the fire alarm off.

The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The whole time we were there was a lovely experience and I would recommend the restaurant for fresh food cooked beautifully at a very reasonable price. We would definitely return to this hotel and recommend it without hesitation.

The friendliness of the staff to customers, but also the fact that the staff did genuinely seem to enjoy working together. It gave the hotel a friendly and relaxed feel. The bathroom we had smelt of mould and needed a revamp. Also I didn't think it was good value for money and breakfast was not included in the price.
