Ideally placed between the historic towns of Monmouthshire and Chepstow. Tintern is in the heart of the Wye Valley, and all of the attractions it has to offer.

Bed was comfy
Bathroom not clean, filth on windowsill, sink not clean
The noise from the two generators beneath room 11 all night. The greasy breakfast.
Rooms dated and not comfortable
Excellent customer care by the staff making me feel welcomed and valued throughout
The restaurant wasn't available the night I stayed.
Location Comfortable Bed
Windows hardly open No fans
Due to my mistake on the booking dates we turned up a day early. This was quickly sorted out by the guy at reception. Would recommend this hotel.
My partner was looking forward to jug of pims but they had run out fruit ! More fruit next time ha ha. This was the only fault.
Location and parking
The breakfast was very greasy.
Excellent value for money. Would stay here again. Monmouth ideal for esporting wye valley.
So close to the town. Friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable.
Noisy as on road - but then it is town centre location.
The staff in this hotel without doubt are the friendliest most welcoming I have met yet. As a young solo resident I felt welcomed from day one... So much so I rebooked for 4 weeks. Thank you x
Location for town was ideal
Noisy smokers out the back under our window
Nothing about hotel but location was lovely what a shame
Noise and being expected to pay for breakfast. The hotel needs Alex from hotel inspector to get there and sort it out we never got any sleep the room was above the bar which seemed to be full of swearing loud women
The location and car parking
Attitude of staff. No restaurant facilities even though it was shown on website. Rooms very basic and not really clean. Poor value for money. The bar was occupied by numerous people ,who were known to the staff ,using bad language and rolling their own cigarettes. I would not even give this hotel a one star rating. I really feel we were grossly overcharged at this establishment
Very hot night.
Location was good. Close to town centre and very convenient to us as we were going to a wedding reception just around the corner and did not want to walk back a long way late at night.
The Riverside Hotel is dated and dirty. Our bedroom wall light did not work, the cutlery was not washed up, the bathroom was filthy and the windowsills looked like they have never been cleaned. The shower projected mostly out of the bath, therefore soaking the floor and the rest of the bathroom. The bathroom decor itself was appalling, the tiles having being painted at some point in the past, were peeling and the seal around the bath was loose. The towels, although clean, were tiny and we were not given a bath mat. Very noisy due to main road nearby and deliveries to the pub downstairs early in the morning. Cooked breakfast was greasy and therefore decided on second morning to source breakfast elsewhere! I would not stay here again.
Good parking with a central location making for an easy walk into the town centre.
Very poor facilities. Our room was not the one we had booked via Booking.com because the hotel proprietor said she was concerned about the noise level expected from a group of touring motor bikers staying at the hotel. No price adjustment given!
Friendly staff. Location.
Dirty walls in bedroom. Cutlery not washed properly. Stained cups.
In general a clean room. Comfy Bed, with good quality bed linen, fresh towels. Wonderfully friendly helpful staff. Great Breakfast. Would stay here again :)
Hotel could do with a makeover, a little tired and dated. Only negative, we had to clean out the shower waste, flow of the shower waste was a little slow as we were concerned there would be an overflow - but it was not a problem.
Good location, friendly staff, great breakfast
Noisy coolers outside room, cracked sink, generally run down and a bit shabby
the location to town and freindly welcome.
cleanliness room needed updating.
The room was an OK size and beds were comfortable. the receptionist on Sunday morning was very helpful
It was quite noisy with a drunken argument outside our window in the early hours of the morning
Good location, car park onsite
roadside rooms are noisy
Beds were so comfortable we stayed an extra night . I have a bad ack and really enjoyed the stay .
