Rooms is immaculate. Arrived to the georgeous back drop of the Tay river. Was brought fresh scones upon arrival which was a lovely touch. The whole place is amazing. Definetly take up the offer of having the dinner in the main house. Its homemade and its fantastic food. Very reasonable.
Couldn't fault it
An amazing house run by an amazing couple. Loved everything about our break at riverwood Strathtay.
Perfect location for a restful, relaxing break, with excellent breakfast, scenery, beautiful room and really well thought out attention to detail. Ann and Alf both really thoughtful.
The Riverwood Strathay is a fantastic place to stay the bedrooms and all of the facilities are truly first class the attention to detail really is second to none. The proprietors are superb and really know how to run an outstanding Bed & Breakfast. I would not hesitate to recommend.
The change the welcome the choice for breakfast and the breakfast. The information sharing. The little extras. The room the views. The shower. The soap the shower gel.
The rain finding the place in the dark and the kettle.
What an exceptional place to stay. I knew Riverwood was going to be lovely because of all the fantastic reviews but we were still impressed with everything. I stayed with my elderly parents who had their own access to their suite all on floor level. Mum has mobility problems so the huge walk in shower and space suited her. The quiet and warmth and beautiful setting suited Dad who was happy to read the paper in tranquil surroundings whilst we shopped! The setting by the river and near to lots of places of interest was perfect. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice and red squirrel spotting. Both rooms and all areas spotless and beautifully decorated with lots of little touches that make this the best B and B we have stayed in.
So much to like. A friendly welcome, red squirrels, beautiful surroundings, short stroll to pub, amazing breakfast (try the rosti stack), Arran Aromatics, quiet, relaxing and within short drive to attractions of Pitlochry.
We liked everything.
The beautiful house, interior, room, surroundings. Lovely people and outstanding food.
Location. Very welcoming hosts. Good clean rooms.
Only improvement would be signs on both sides of the driveway.
Pretty much everything was perfect. A little pricey but I'd say it was worth it.
Tranquil situation Attention to detail - absolutely spotless Everything you needed Beautiful decor Very friendly welcome which made you feel so relaxed throughout your stay Delicious breakfasts with plenty choices
Amazing location ! Amazing suite ! Amazing owners !! God bless ! Could not had any better !!
The whole experience of staying at river wood was just wonderful.Anne and Alf work very hard to make your stay memorable.on arrival we were given a lovely strawberry tart and sponge cake.a very nice touch. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and the large en-suite was beautiful.we had our own back and front door with a sitting area in the garden.in summer you could sit there and enjoy the tranquil setting. Breakfast was mouth watering, with a really good menu.we were so lucky to have an evening meal, prepared and cooked by Anne and served by Alf in the beautiful dinning room, where the tables are placed by the windows for the benefit of guests to watch the red squirrels and pheasants.without a doubt it was a 5 star dinner.delicious. The situation was perfect.in a quiet, peaceful area on the river bank Will definitely go back. Thanks for a perfect stay
everything. 1st Class Service, room, brekfast. Warm welcoming hosts.
The friendly owners and the beautiful rooms . Best B&B I have ever stayed in .
Location - food - ambiance
A bit tricky to locate first time
excellent hosts rooms were beautiful breakfast was very good scenery was outstanding would definitely revisit
Beautiful setting, beautifully decorated and furnished room, very comfortable. Excellent breakfast, very good choice. Ann and Alf are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful.
While having breakfast we watched the squirrels, partridge, and pheasant, and a variety of birds out of the window, river wood was immaculate and the hosts Alf & Ann were very accomadating, breakfast was also delicious
There was nothing to dislike, apart from not a lot of places to go on an evening .
Everything!!! The design, the atmosphere, the hospitability, the breakfast.
There is nothing not to like
very nice decor fair breakfast comfy bed nice surroundings couple enthusiastic about their business
a little too much like being back at school on arrival were told "we dont wear shoes in this house shoes were taken off at front door.fair enough we dont wear shoes indoors either however felt it was more an order than a request Later we requested fresh milk to make a drink and were told"on this occasion only"we could have some.Breakfast was nice and fair selection of cereal etc however it was all stored in a little alcove with no counter/shelve in which to open the individual box into bowl and add milk same difficulty when trying to pour juice serve up fruit you needed three hands really milk jugs on table very small for two pots of tea and cereal hopefully this is constructive
It is located in a lovely area. Good place to have a relaxing break. Will visit again.
