The relaxed calm feel of the place. Great Breakfast, clean quality linen. comfy beds. No fault to find.
The whole time spent there. Food was excellent. Good value for money!!
The location was perfect! Just out the way but still close to the town and beach!! only a few minutes away!! Good restaurants nearby! Our favourite was "on the rocks" well worth a look! Very comfortable and spacious room! Also very clean and tidy! Good parking and the pool and hot tub was very nice to relax in! Both hosts were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Would definately stay there again and would recommend to family and friends!!

Having to go home!
as good as the last time we stayed here very friendly and nice little touches to the rooms
The general atmosphere and amiability of owners the food was excellent
Just a little too far from the front (the Hill) Although Premium room seemed a little cramped although sofa was comfy
We enjoyed a two night stay at The Riviera Lodge in August. The hotel is a beautifully maintained house with an outdoor pool and hot tub set in a delightful garden. Our hosts were charming and happy to stop for a chat. All facilities were exceptionally clean and fresh. Breakfast was very good. Based near to the sea front and the shops, it is perfect for a break away in Torquay.
Nothing to dislike :)
The surrounding pool hot tub food and very friendly owners
We felt our room was a little small so on our next visit we will book a superior room
Brilliant location excellent accomodation and wonderfully staff .
We stayed in the double deluxe room with private patio area, the room was lovely, clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were top class. Would certainly visit again. Location was perfect to explore torquay seafront and harbour.
not much not to like hotel food and staff excellent .would definitely book again
All staff friendly, cleanliness, Good breakfast,
First night was brilliant we could not fault the hotel in any way however on the first night the room next door to us was empty, The following nights we were a bit sleep deprived as the people that checked into the room next door (pool facing room) snored all night long. Sound proofing really poor.
We liked the large tastefully decorated room with seating area (No 8) and the delicious breakfast. The room was extremely quiet ( once you closed the window - Torquay has very vocal seagulls ) and the large bed was very comfortable, so a good night's sleep was enjoyed.
There is nothing to dislike.
Food was excellent. Facilities excellent. Staff very nice.
Bathroom a bit small, but not real ya problem
Everything except the bed and towels.
Needed a 5' bed as we are two large people. A normal double bed is uncomfortable. The bath towels are far too small. There needs to be proper sized bath towels.
we were very impressed with our stay and the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the room. the staff were very welcoming and relaxed, and they showed excellent customer care. we would recommend the hotel .
The hotel and its garden with swimming pool and hot tub, and the service was excellent. The breakfast was pretty nice. Wifi was great.
Our room was however small and the bed was really bad (made a lot of noice when you turned around and was quite hard). The seagills also kept me away from sleep (nothing to do about..)
hotel and all facilities are excellent, owners and staff cant do enough for you. book with confidence
The swimming pool
Poor WiFi connection
Carstan was very helpful and extremely welcoming. The hotel was lovely and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Room. food Friendly manor and helpfull. Close location.
Few Tea bags, daily with same Milk.
This hotel is lovely with all the facilities that we could wish for, our room was a compact double which is a bit on the small side however it did not detract from our overall stay, the rest off the hotel is large and spacious and very well maintained, there is a lovely conservatory looking over a pretty garden with a pool and hot tub. The staff where very friendly especially Carston who appears never to have any time off, he worked tirelessly to make sure that we had everything we needed, the breakfast was good quality there was a selection of fresh fruit, cereal, croissants and fresh bread, also a cooked breakfast was available which my husband enjoyed every day. The evening menu was also very good we had the lamb shank and it was delicious. All in all a very good hotel I would defiantly recommend it to both my friends and family.
Absolutly fabulously run no one could do better
Excellent hotel, little extra touches and care make exceptional.
