could not fault our stay
if I was being picky then the bedroom was a little small, but very clean and tidy.
We had a large room at the front of the hotel, beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, probably the best breakfast I've had, staff were extremely helpful.
Difficult to find a parking space outside of the hotel, but a car park just around the corner.
Excellent location for town and seafront decor in lounge areas lovely and modern
decor in bedrooms and landings very outdated usually pay for your booking when leaving --1st time ever that Ive had to pay upfront on arrival Requires updating in the bedroom very very basic and cramped considering price of room unable to close window in room window catch falling off - hence can be noisy at front
Room was small to say the least
Excellent location, staff at breakfast couldn't do enough for us and there was plenty of choice and the cooked breakfast was lovely. Room was a little bit small but we were only staying for one night so not a problem. Room and bathroom very clean. Would definatly go back.
breakfast was wonderful every last detail went into making it. the choice was second to none staff we very attentive and helpful
the only down side was the room it was very compact with the wardrobe facing the door so wasnt much room to get in and out otherwise everything you needed was there
The Riviera is set in the ideal central position so it is easy to access the beach, sea front or the town centre easily. The room although small was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Very good value for money. Staff were friendly and approachable.
We had a lovely time.
Building could do with a little renovation in a few areas. Don't get me wrong the place has character and the rooms are clean and tidy.
Central to most restaurants & shops easy access to beach
The parking left a lot to be desired had to park in shopping centre & hotel car park .... Very expensive
food . staff .clean rooms
Location Comfort Relaxing lounge Lovely breakfast
That everyone has the same key
this is a very clean and well run establishment
This is a bed and breakfast not a Hotel and Parking is a nightmare Only place to park was in Multi story at a cost of £10 per day
We had a very comfortable 3 night stay. Staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough, the furnishings were bright and comfortable and the rooms were cleam. We had an really good breakfast with a good choice and the location of the hotel couldn't have been better. I would definitely stay here again. Di and Alan, Matlock
No negatives here
Convenient location, excellent breakfast, helpful staff. Seagull noise was a slight problem, but what do you expect at a seaside resort?
Room 9 was OK as a room apart from one massive drawback. The television was mounted in a way that impeded access to bathroom. There was a real danger of colliding into the screen in the dark.
Comfortable rooms and excellent lounge. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and wonderful breakfasts. Good location.
Maybe a bar in the evenings would enhance the facility and make better use of the very comfortable lounge.
Lovely lounge area Great breakfast Very good location
Very small room Bar in lounge not operating Dated decor in upper floors and room
Breakfast excelled with friendly staff
Car parking a nightmare
excellent location. relaxing spacious lounge with good wi fi. Very tasty breakfast.
Room quite small. Difficult to open wardrobe. However, en suite was modern and spacious.
A very good central location, serving what i regard as the best breakfast i have eaten in a hotel along with a very welcoming serving staff.
A cold reception welcome, rooms in need off a refurb, creaking floors
excellent breakfast, good choice and good quality, friendly and efficient staff.
tiny bathroom [room 19]. Us bedhead light fitting.
Excellent breakfast. Facilities spotlessly clean and very comfortable bed.
Very cramped space in room especially around wardrobe area.
The room we had was described by Booking.Com as 'compact room at back'. It was room 6, and was a big room. Being at the back did not worry us, as it had beautiful curtains that drew over the back view. I felt saying it was compact, was off-putting, and wrong.
Rack rate £20 a night cheaper than Booking.com Very small rooms - 2 star size Although inferred, there was no free Wi Fi even in public areas.
Easy access to town .The people very friendly. Food excellent. Customer service excellent.
We cannot think of anything as it is the second time we have stayed there and if we have a few days away again we would book the Riveria.
Great location Friendly staff with faultless service Good sized rooms Lovely towels and bed linen
