Just a 5-minute walk from Weymouth Beach, Best Western Hotel Rembrandt features a modern leisure club, traditional restaurant and free Wi-Fi. Weymouth centre is just a mile away.
Score from 413 reviews Very good
Situated on Weymouth’s Esplanade, the family-run Hotel Rex is in an enviable position by the beach. The Channel Islands ferry terminal and the Pavilion Theatre are both only 2 minutes’ walk away.
Score from 422 reviews Very good
This beautifully preserved building has been transformed into stylish, modern accommodation with free Wi-Fi throughout.
Score from 433 reviews Excellent
Overlooking Weymouth beach and the Jurassic coastline, The Fairhaven Hotel is situated on The Esplanade, allowing easy access to the beach and historic 17th-century harbour.
Score from 685 reviews Good
Really liked the size of the bed and the easiness of the bath.
Chalet/room very clean
Chalet very small and building very tired and old, needs either pulling down or a complete revamp
The swimming pool was brilliant
The room was dirty , waited to long for breakfast , staff were very unorganised
We stayed in half term and booked at short notice. Weymouth was quite busy and we only needed one night prior to an early ferry the next day. It served its purpose well. Staff were very friendly.
The distance from Weymouth was a bit far in my opinion. Need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go out for dinner in town.
facilities, room decor and general feel of the place, nice breakfast
Bed was too hard for my taste
Rooms were done up ok, beds comfortable.
Room smelt of damp and the outside needs some serious work done to it.
location virtually on the beach overlooking the sea breakfast was good with lots of choices
was on honeymoon room was small bed was uncomfortable staff didn't smile room wasn't cleaned in 3 day stay wasn't made to feel like a guest or special poor value for money for £300 for 3 nights overall was upset because wanted to feel special and didnt
The restaurant was the best part of our stay, excellent food and friendly staff.
Did not like the room at all, very small and cabin like, would not stay again.
Damp fusty smells in some areas. Cooked breakfast was luke warm /cool. Teacups in bedroom were dirty. Paid £178 for 2 nights b & b far too expensive- not value for money.
Fantastic views, lots to do very close to the hotel, nice swimming pool, rooms very snug. whole experience was amazing would definitely go again.
The bed was a little uncomfortable but that was the one and only negative so didn't let it put us off.
OK it's not perfect, but it certainly does not deserve the bad reviews it has been given. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room we had was clean and well set up as was the en suite. I have stayed in far worse. Breakfast was v. Good.
Still has the holiday camp feel with the chalet type rooms, still with original window frames and doors, which need replacing.but slept well.
Hotel looks very impressive, set into the cove. Views from the hotel were great - and the swimming pools are lovely.
The rooms had basic amenities - which were fine, but nothing felt very clean. Housekeeping was perfunctory. More attention was given to replacing tea bags, then giving clean cups or cleaning the bathroom for example.
Location and room
Staff were rude, food was disgusting, swimming pool safety rails were dangerous, gardens needed TLC, website was misleading, owner was said to have spent million on it more like 6k, will never go back
Friendly Staff, Beach Location, Great parking facilities, Able to leave samples for courier collection for work purposes, clean hotel room, door to room leads straight outside, etc etc!
The bed in my room (141 I think) was really uncomfortable. I could feel each and every bump in the mattress below and I had to sleep in certain parts of the bed to maximise comfort. This bed needs changing please!
Staff very good and helpful
Beds way to hard didn't really sleep well Sea View option is a joke and waste of paying that little bit extra. You do see the bay not the sea and you only see that when locking your door.
the building, the view, Reception and breakfast staff very pleasant.
Location was good. Breakfast was good. Bathroom was good. Having a back problem I found the bed hard but when I asked for a spare quilt so I could lie on it I was given on immediately.
Disappointed with the general run down look of the grounds and outside of the hotel. The view we had asked for was the underneath of a concrete staircase.
The staff were excellent ,
Would have liked some entertainment , Restaurant food very good ,but every morning we had to wait for items on the self service breakfast
We loved the spacious large bed and a nice clean room with fridge and adequate bathroom space, with instant hot water.
We did think that the bath was a bit on the high side.Making your remaining foot liable to slipping when stepping out.Thought also, that the car park was a good way off.Making it a problem if weather was bad
Bed was comfy
Sour faced staff. Appalling public areas. Very unwelcoming environment. Gardens overgrown. Peeling paint everywhere. Absolutely hideous place.
No hot water for showers. Unclean. Poor facilities.
Could not put any drinks or food on the room. Had to go out for evening meals and drinks. Hotel missed out on approximately £280.00.
Room an food plus the atmophere
the outside state of the back rooms very tatty an untidy
Location was fabulous and the views are incredible. Love that it is a period building.
The fact that we stayed in a portacabin behind the actual hotel. As I understand it this was not referenced to us prior to arrival
The receptionist was friendly
The outside is in serious need of a lick of paint, rooms are cold, the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, the pool can't be used during certain times of the day due to swimming lessons, payment is required upfront & the chef doubles up as the maintenance man
