Overlooking Weymouth beach and the Jurassic coastline, The Fairhaven Hotel is situated on The Esplanade, allowing easy access to the beach and historic 17th-century harbour.

On Weymouth's seafront, this lovely family-run hotel has stunning sea views, a welcoming and homey atmosphere, excellent home-cooked food and cheap bar prices.

Score from 408 reviews Very good
staff are fantastic any problems are sorted out immediately. loved the sea view, pool and sticky toffee pudding, breakfast and dinner were very nice.
new mattresses needed.
nothing to say
Location on the coast path
A grand hotel way past it's heyday. A bit sad.
location stunning, staff helpful and friendly.
had to park on grass as not enough parking spaces..no light on walk way to car park very dark.. grubby room needs more tea bags in room 4 not enough for 2 people.
The cleaners missed cleaning the bathroom as it was.I had to ask for new towels after 2 days!!
Just about everything. The staff were friendly, the room was very comfortable and well laid out and if we had stayed longer we would have made use of the pool.
The teacups in the room were not very clean.
Relaxing atmosphere . Staff were very helpful and attentive .
Shower controls were a bit to complicated .
Great location, lovely views, comfortable room with nice decor and good facilities
Room a bit tired, damaged furniture not removed or replaced, no toiletries in bathroom, could have been cleaner, esp bathroom
Staff very friendly and helpful Room clean and comfortable, good idea having a safe and a small fridge in the room Indoor pool was used daily and was very nice All the meals we had were very good Stunning views of the bay Bus stop a few minutes walk from the hotel with a regular service running into Weymouth We enjoyed our stay at the Riviera and would book again
Free wifi and tea and coffee in room. Rooms very clean. Basic overnight stay. The hotel was near convenience stores and caravan park although away from beach (ie too far to walk). Pool on site both inside and out so I think ideal for young families on a budget. Rooms fully equipped with hair dryer, fridge and kettle etc. large shower etc
Restaurant food was slow in delivery and not great, wafer thin walls so next doors tv was very loud and single glazed chalet with people walking past too close for comfort. More of a motel rather than hotel. Some areas have been updated but others are in dire need of a lick if paint and double glazing installed.
To far from town.
Location and parking were ideal. Fabulous view from room. Reception area was welcoming and the restaurant looked lovely even though we decided not to eat in there.
I thought the outside areas of the hotel were tired looking and in need of repair. The bath and bedding were clean, but I felt like the room had not been hoovered properly with peanuts under the bed and bits of biscuit or something on the floor in the bathroom. The window didn't shut unless we pushed it shut from the outside and the phone didn't work.We did report this.Overall ok, but could have been better.
Amazing views and location, 1930's hotel that's been refurbished. Looks tired in places needs more money spent on it, but rooms are nicely done with everything you need. Staff very helpful, excellent breakfasts.
Breakfast great and large tv in room
room modern and comfortable 2 nights out of 3 no hot water !
paid good money for hotel when arrived thought i pulled up at 1970 holiday camp ! disappointed and would not return !
swimming pool and terrace
noisy room due to generator
The Riviera is a wonderful looking (from a distance) art deco hotel in a fantastic location on the headland overlooking Weymouth bay.
Up close, despite some refurbishment, it is shabby. I was given a room that should not be used. Outside the window were all the ventilation outlets for the kitchen, which were very noisy. I complained and was told that they did not have another room. I then said I did not want it and would leave. I was then found an alternative. This hotel needs a large amount of money spending on it. If the room access was from the back of the hotel you could have 100 rooms with balconies looking out at a fabulous view. Until then, look at it from a distance and don't bother to book in.
There is nothing that comes to mind.
No Wi-Fi, Mould in the shower, dirty carpet, needed shin pads to get around the bed. The room did not get turned over after first night. breakfast was basic. No loo roll holder or anywhere to hang towels.Terrible value for money.
Breakfast was very good.
The car park.
This is a fantastic looking hotel in a great spot and the rooms are very very clean and modern. We had a sea view which I would recommend to any future guests. The facilities are excellent and the Art Deco decor in the reception and dining room is amazing. We only had breakfast here and it was perfect, full English if you wanted or just cereal and juice and as much as you could eat too!
It was all spot on - no issues whatsoever
Poor exterior building state. The balcony with the open corridor. very old outside appearance. gap in room door.
Leisure Centre and breakfast good.
Lack of original 1930's atmosphere in reception.
hotel location was good
waiting for food at breakfast for half hour .dirty room .tea pot with cobwebs on for breakfast .cobwebs and snails in rooms not cleaned properly .worse beds we have ever slept on so no sleep .dirty bedding . asked for papers in morning only manged 1 day ! .sea view rooms not sea view you need to go outside to see anything ! .
