Centrally located on Bournemouth's West Cliff, the 4-star Connaught Lodge is just 300 metres from the cliffs tops and 5 minutes' walk from the BIC, Pavilion, and the thriving town centre.
Score from 657 reviews Very good
The Britannia Bournemouth Hotel is a 2-minute walk from East Cliff Beach. The Spindles Health & Leisure Club has a pool and hot tub. There is also a restaurant.

Located on the seafront, overlooking Bournemouth Bay, this modern and uniquely styled hotel has a 1930s Art Deco style, a seasonal outdoor heated pool, a day spa, and a lido deck.
Score from 1095 reviews Very good
In a quiet part of East Cliff, this clean, friendly hotel is just a short stroll from Bournemouth's beaches and town centre. It has spacious rooms, a restaurant, a vibrant bar and free parking.
Score from 1462 reviews Very good
my room actually had a full length mirror!
you need a commercial toaster, so people can get their own toast, as on both mornings our toast was cold.minor point, but you did ask!
Staff so friendly and helpful.
Location. Indoor pool
Allocated small apartment but was moved to a much nicer and bigger one after asking.
We booked a twin & given a family room with an extra d/bed! It was huge & good size bathroom too! It as spotless & nice crisp clean white bed sheets.Had xlnt full English breakout & Theodore more if desired! Ahh forgot the sea view too! All in all a cracking little oasis in Alum Chime & look forward to returning some time soon!
The location is spot on near our favourite beach. Great that the bar serve kids meals from 5 so we can all eat early together.
Pool ceiling needs a bit of tlc but otherwise a great swimming/changing rooms set up!
Breakfast is delicious rooms are warm staff friendly and accommodating. Pool is warm and hotel so close to beach and good play park. Also close to chez Fred's for best fish and chip supper
Some unclean tiles on roof of pool room. Towels were low in pool room. Bed was hard and pillows thin, wifi signal was poor in the room had to go to the lobby.
EVERYTHING!!! The hotel should be classed as a four star! Very clean and tidy and the pool was lovely! Everything about this hotel was perfect!!!!
Indoor pool, table tennis and x-box. Choice of breakfast and view FM breakfast room. Prompt response to maintenance issue.
Pool and sea view, nice food.
Confusion with booking Lack of parking Loss of item from room
have stayed here a few years ago so know hotel was good all staff friendly and helpful
shame about parking facilities wer a little limited so wasn't able to park on site but managed to park close by
Staff were welcoming and friendly made to feel welcome and nothing was a problem . Facilities were clean and children made to feel welcome. Liked the idea of a Buffett in the evening for the children.
Bed was a little too hard for me and small used to a bigger double bed .
not a lot
Didn't get an apology or asked if i enjoyed the stay.
There is plenty of space to move in the hotel and I found the staff to be very good. I enjoyed the facilities and although small, the indoor pool is a great asset to the hotel. The breakfast service was efficiently run considering the number of guests. I would stay there again.
The rooms are in need of upgrading somewhat. Some of the furnishings are past there best in the rooms and the showers are only just adequate. I would have used the bar more had the prices been more locally competitive.
Facilities for the children were great & fantastic breakfast!
The friendly and very efficient staff.A very well run hotel. The breakfasts were V GOOD.
Not a bad experience, but we think more entertainment should have been provided,ie only entertainment one evening(a Jazz Singer). We were there for three nights..
The size of the room was fantastic and oh so clean!, breakfast convenient hot and cold buffet style - quick for little kids. Swimming pool lovely and warm. Excellent service by the staff. Oh and a great location - we had a room at the front and had no issues with noise.
The room is obviously maintained and kept very clean but needs updating, (although my kids thought it was a palace!). the bed is very hard and a bit of a strange layout with a chest of draws blocking the steps for the bunk bed. The spa pool is missing a few tiles but is probably very hard to repair if in constant use. Don't get me wrong we had a great stay, the hotel is just looking a little dated but with 2 little kids it did mean we didn't have to worry to much about where hands and feet were put!.
The staff were very helpful, my daughter loved the swimming pool..
Going up and down the stairs to our apartment to get to the hotel..there quite steep steps even my husband and my 10 year old fell up the steep steps..
I was put in the worst room and grossly overcharged. I stayed for 3 weeks at the hotel only for the price to continually rise and for the staff to be rude all because the computer systems were apparently to difficult for them to operate and to stay accurate. I also saw my full card and banking details available on paper laying around which were easily visible to anyone. My room stank of chorine from the pool and music vibrated u till late hours due to the music downstairs every night. I have travelled all over the world with no problem yet his is the worst hotel experience I had ever had. The manor in which the staff acted was simply embarrassing and I will never go to this hotel again. I'm reluctant to give such a negative review of anyone however I would warn anyone away from this place
The newly refurbished swimming pool/ gym / changing facilities are of high quality and well laid out. Sauna and 'hot-tub' are an added bonus.
The Hotel was for the most part clean and the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel was a nice distance from the beach. The food was well presented and cooked to a decent standard. Overall I feel this was a well run establishment.
The rooms floors were weak and creaky, the water pressure in the showers were low and the temperature was erratic. The pool was slimy on the second day and the pool area was in need of maintenance. Also there was only one usable plug socket in the room.
Thoroughly relaxing stay in a good quality hotel where we were able to take our 2 small dogs. Very good facilities and good food in the restaurant, friendly and helpful staff.
I have known this hotel for some 40 years and the staff have always been friendly and accommodating. The pool and spa area is a delight. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others. However I would probably opt to dine in nearby Westbourne which has a good variety of restaurants.
First breakfast was mean - one skinny slice of bacon, indifferent sausage - not what I expected for a 'Full English'. Subsequent breakfasts were buffets, not a wide selection - some mushrooms would have been nice. Don't bother about the web site - it is still showing 2012 tariffs!
Hotel facilities and proximity to beach and town centre. 5 minute walk to beach although quite a steep climb back to hotel from the beach.
